  1. did u search "carputer" and talk to this guy? he's done something there perhaps he can expand to the rest of what u want. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ca...10-t261099.html i'm not sure about programming oem buttons - you'd better off chuck them in a bin!
  2. don't get me wrong I totally agree with you... but I was speaking from an hypothetical inline engine fanatics "skyline is dead". in my heart, my V35 is still as much Skyline as it can get... although I would get 'bashed' by those fanatics that lives in the past... just because I have a VQ engine now +1 to your evolution
  3. there you go, one of the purist... but I still love my V35.... and won't go back to R33
  4. fark - do they drill through the Bose speaker grill?
  5. I think turbo or non-turbo is not the issue for purist. it's the engine configuration (inline 6) where the purist's heart lies. ever since V35 uses VQ instead of inline 6 engines back in the RB era and before (L20E) it's kind of considered as not really a Skyline anymore, cos V configuration engine is a thing for the Z cars... that said, the late R34 GTR they use in the JGTC have actually used the VQ30DETT engine during 2003-2004 season instead of the good old RB26DETT... and the 2008 R35 JGTC car actually uses the V8 engine read more here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_VQ_engine
  6. correct. We ALREADY have V35 & V36 non-turbo for the Skyline heritage with V6 engines... ... to which viewed isn't worthy to be a Skyline by some Skyline turbo inline six fanatics... so basically the true SKYLINE IS DEAD. We're only left with GTR which isn't Skyline, and V series Skylines that are not the Skylines as we knew them.
  7. I think it is done during compliance, I remember on mine (coupe) report that there is a mention of child restraint anchor being fitted. It will usually be fitted on the rear parcel shelf.
  8. and similar to typical marketing scheme, the base price usually has been hiked up by about $3000 before they advertise for the $3000 rebate anyhow. In the end you pay the same price

don't do it! worst decision you'll ever made
  12. Sorry but I've past that period of time and now into a middle age crisis era...
  13. Mate - you should learn to read properly. If you read the first post, the original poster (me) has P.S. just wanna stir up some shit... and indeed I have... look at these 3 pages of shitload crap... what a good shit stirred up and served up!
  14. I think it is the only respectful way to treat a brand new TATA out of dealership - straight to the crusher.
  15. I'm thinking about it. absolutely awesome idea.
  16. can't be impossible to register - there are vintage car clubs in Japan where ppl still have their C210 skylines or KPGC10 GTRs still driving around. I'm sure it can be done but the "shaken" or rego inspection that happened every 3 years is just getting tougher and tougher to register an old car. I heard that Singapore has been doing it so basically registering any old cars in Singapore are not economically (plus there's no point buying a car in Singapore unless you're very rich - due to their excellent public transport system) and therefore keep car pollution relatively low there, and most old cars from Singapore are being 'dumped' for cheap price in neighbouring Indonesian tax-free island, Batam. I kind of agree that certain old cars should be somewhat limited, and only a handful of pristine condition classics can be kept on the road and get rid of the smoky rusty old ones that would give people tubercoulosis as they drive by with the billowing smoke out of the exhaust... but how they are going to implement it is not an easy thing to do... I don't think it will be too successful here... aussies love their XY GT falcons, there are grandpas who love their mustangs, and SAUers who love their R31s...
  17. http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/mone...5015795,00.html http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/03....htm?site=local The first post may have 'bend' some reality - as my intent was to stir up some shit anyhow
  18. So potentially anyone can go into a used car yard, get 10 shitboxes worth $700 each, even if he had to register them for $500 a car, at $1200 he will make $1800 each x 10 shitboxes = $18,000 when he surrendered them to government to be squashed... what an awesome idea... first the $900 K-Rudd package (anyone got them yet?) now the $3k stimulus to help save the auto industry sell their overstocked new cars... What next??? a $50,000 tax-free job-stimulus for anyone willing to be a good Samaritan and give up / quit their job so the company can hire one of hundreds of jobless out there who are still jobless?
  19. And we should change our Acronym from SAU to JAU (Junkyard AUstralia) - considering most Skylines on this forum is over 10 yrs old
  20. If anyone watched last night's news... basically any cars over 10 years old are declared belong to the junkyard. This includes all: Any Pre R32 Skylines (DR30, R31, etc) R32 Skyline Gts-t, GTS, GTS4, GTR R33 Skyline Gts-t, GTS, GTS4, GTR R34 Skyline GTT & GTR 1999 models The catch is if you wreck your piece of junk Skyline you get $3000 incentive to update it with a newer car... The aim is to reduce the number of gas guzzling old cars on our road. I think it's a good idea...... PS: I'm just stirring up some shit...
  21. Geraus, done...
