  1. According to the website here http://www.motordyneengineering.com/G35.php it can add 12-14HP, now is that require an aftermarket piggy back system like SAFC or not?
  2. I read you control it from CD... does that mean you gotta sacrifice one CD slot out of the available 6? e.g. I saw on your pic you had it on CD5
  3. Spotted blue v35 coupe on elizabeth st around lunchtime today, near vic market ...
  4. GOR = Great Ocean Road. It's a famous tourist destination and one of the nicest drive in Victoria
  5. sometimes the body lines could look a bit similar to Aston Martin... poor man's Aston.... :-)
  6. Group buy 44 update: - nightcrawler (payment cleared) - mccready (waiting for payment to clear) - tteerrryy (waiting for payment to clear)
  7. I spotted you a few times on A'beckett st City and yesterday on Lonsdale St coming from Spencer towards King... Nice one, good luck for the sale... sad to hear it must go...
  8. damn, 50 cars and they didn't even put up the late 1960s Mustang?
  9. long list... some are nice some are not, but this one is a pretty one: (Fairlady) and you can try explaining to your 80+ yo friend that if the V35 is made back in his time, it would have looked like this! (Lambo 350GT)
  10. lol, back in their days they would only see the box shaped R30/R31 series... of course technology has improved and the trend of styling is different back in the 80s and now... although IMHO car styling back in the 60s have better look/appeal compared to car styling in the 70-80s
  11. I don't get many V8 or turbos trying to drag me off around here where I live. Also mostly cos the times I drive is peak traffic hours morning and afternoon only... mostly some young blokes in their WRX or Silvia almost snapping their neck when they turn their heads trying to get a good look of my V35... but after a few weeks the novelty kinda wears off for them as they're mostly the same people driving to work or going home. But usually 0-60 km/h are NA territory as they're quick off the line with immediate torque available in low rpms, while the turbo might be busy spooling up and depending their power to weight ratio they will catch up later on... XR6 Turbo may have 270kw but they're heavier than a V35, so while the turbo hasn't spooled, the NA V6 has the slight advantage. Funny some rather erratic drivers around my areas are in Camrys... one particularly in one of those rather limey green new colours of Camry. it's always the same guy... late for work everyday I reckon.
  12. unfortunately some dickheads you guys encountered who are rich enough to buy those are indeed not rich enough in their attitudes... you managed to beat them off the traffic lights because you didn't do burnouts like that moron. didn't they realise their street grade radials would easily overheat after such a burnout and overheated tyres will not grip... only drag tyres would perform better after a burnout... obviously they didn't have half a brain to learn that bit of science. but still it's not worth getting nicked by radar & loose your license trying to beat / keep up with one of those trying to drag you...

  14. there should be another button somewhere... to turn on / off that feature... can I ask you, after you finished reversing do your mirrors go back up when you put it out of reverse?

    Cyclists?

Yeah, anything money making they'll (and/or vicroads) put their hands up first. Then you gotta wake up earlier... the only thing the government will be pressured to build proper bike lanes is if there are enough numbers of bicycle riders get killed colliding with traffic on a daily basis... they won't give a damn unless blood has been spilled... Now please note that I am NOT suggesting any of you to get any idea of taking dramatic measure to speed up the process of pressuring council / vicroads to building bicycle lanes...

    Cyclists?

I think it's time to bring on bicycle tax

    Cyclists?

maybe you who lives down there should get together to local council and propose a proper bike lanes ??? although I'm sure council would rather build metered parking bays rather than bike lanes... I guess nothing else you can do but to have a light right foot and drive 20km/h below the limit, going slow won't kill you...

  20. no idea. ask the person who did your immobiliser. mine is aftermarket 3pt immobiliser, the factory FOB key still work but it will not arm the alarm. the FOB key has a transponder in it that transmit code to a receiver in your key barrel. if the code matches to the code programmed on your ECU, it will start the car. if not the engine will turn a bit but won't start. so even if you have an aftermarket 3pt immobiliser, the ECU code and your key is a different thing to program, nothing to do with the aftermarket immobiliser. so it's an immobiliser within immobiliser, or a secondary immobiliser thing. very complicated. piggy back like SAFC only taps onto your a/f signal so nothing to do with immobiliser. no idea about Haltech, etc. i'm no expert on ECU, i'm just about as dimwit as you are
  21. yeah. he mentioned something about being possible to rewire my drop-down mirror button to the reverse gear selector, but the trick is getting the mirror to tilt down far enough when reversing and stop when it reach the lowest mirror angle (rather than having the motor keep turning on and prematurely wear out or damaged the motor itself), plus a problem of 'remembering' the original mirror position when the gear selector is moved out of reverse position.
  22. That must be because the old RDA7690 is no longer in production... that was 15mm thick, and was officially for a R32 GTS. RDA catalogue only have RDA7692 listed that will fit within your rear caliper... 15mm vs 10mm is only about 2.5mm less on each side so should be no problems... there were a few other R33 non turbo owners who bought RDA7692 previously and they didn't have problems fitting them on. if you do, let me know. Cheers, Rianto
  23. can't be bothered. best person to ask is Chris Rogers. he did my alarm/immobiliser and removed the whole scotch lock of japanese immobiliser thing which I sent to Warren (waz) as he was interested in that tangling cable...
  24. I think it will work but you may need to code the immobiliser to make it start-able. The immobiliser code is the 4 digit on a metal plate in one of your keys. if you don't have it you're out of luck. pray that your existing key(s) never stop working/damaged/lost you can buy from Nissan, cost very expensive of course having an auto means ECU choice is basically very limited. probably the easiest is having an SAFC (piggy back computer) so you can somewhat tune your air/fuel ratio to a certain degree. it won't be as good as a replacement ECU but it is possible... you should have bought a manual in the first place. Sell it and buy a manual, then you can easily get an Impul ECU, or PowerFC, etc. I bought an auto cos I don't plan to modify, and the missus can drive it too.
  25. lucky you. I had mine dis-activated because it's somehow linked to the japanese immobiliser (??) which was removed to make way for Aust Std immobiliser/alarm.
