  1. Well not all of them acts to be too cool. Once my wife picked me up at the station and she arrived before my train did, as she was waiting by the roadside, a young guy walked by and stop then just checking the car out back and forth - literrally like drooling over it, didn't care that the driver (my wife) was still in the car. Scared the hell out of my wife...
  2. The V35 is a more 'grown-up' skyline than its predecessor... it's styling would have to consider the existing trend in design plus considering that the loyal skyline owners who might have been in their 20s when they bought their first R32 back in the 1989-1993 would have been around mid 30s when V35 is released in the 21st Century... it would not be weird that 30-40 something people will find the styling very tasteful, and younger 18-25 find it lack the interest as they would want something with a turbo or lightweight car to fang around town... (I mean that's what Suzuki Swift are for...)
  3. How thick is your overall rear rotor diameter? according to RDA's catalogue, the rear R33 non turbo has an 8mm rear rotor thickness, being so thin, it is usually made as solid disc. There were a few ppl bought RDA7692 with 8mm thickness and it fits ok to rear R33 non turbo...
  4. no, that's allright. always try to help. and this information here will also be beneficial for other people who wants to understand some industry terms in brake rotors. sorry about the pics as well, as I am limited by forum's feature so I am unable to edit some old posts, unless I start another thread which is a bit of a hassle to do. the groovies should help your brake cooling at the rears, better than just standard slotted, considering as vented rotors wasn't an option in the first place.
  5. PS: the front R33 non turbo is made in vented rotors... (RDA7691) not all cars have vented front to rear... my brother in law's Alfa Romeo 147 is an example, vented fronts, and solid rears.
  6. ah, James. I got it now... It's called vents. so the answer is no, RDA only have R33 non-turbo with solid rear discs, not vented. There used to be an old part number RDA7690 but it is no longer available on the market. and the dimension is a little bit different (hat height is higher and rotor total thickness is double the RDA7692) so you may have a big problem trying to fit it in with your factory calipers, that is if you can still find RDA7690 around. sorry for the confusion.
  7. no. the last time I went there it was like an abandoned observatory... it was ages ago.
  8. the rotors with holes going through the rotors is called a drilled rotor, not slotted. but RDA don't do them because they tend to crack under hard use with rapid heating and cooling cycle. so they only offered (straight) slotted in steel finish, or the grooved & dimpled, which is actually the "grooves" name they were called by are actually curved shape slots. It's just like a marketing 'brand' calling curved slots as grooved, or sometimes they call it groovy. I could ask but normally 99.99% they won't take returns if there is nothing wrong with the rotors, unless you had it for normal street use (not track use) and the rotors crack, as it will be a warranty return. Will have to ask them sometime tomorrow but I can't promise... as they haven't told me they make the gold passivated in straight shape slots like the standard slotted. unless you're ok with the standard steel look (no gold anodised)...
  9. Ah, so that's it... I have been there a few times but I never know that the place is called skyhigh... LOL pardon my ignorance...
  10. so you wanted the gold passivated in straight slots with no dimples? as far as I know RDA made the grooved dimpled gold passivated in curved & dimples. the straight slotted ones will come in standard steel, not gold passivated. they did posted the wrong pic on their website when they change the overall website look, which I did ask them why the gold one looks different, and they have now replaced it with the right one, but since the new forum rule not allowing me to edit my posts after certain number of hours I could not replace the pic in the first post anymore. the part number is correct. Rear R33 non turbo 7692G. The other one, 7692S, will come in 'white' stainless steel colour with straight slots and no dimples. not gold passivated. what have you currently got at the front - is the curved shape grooves & the dimples causing a 'cosmetic' look issue ?
  11. yes, that is the correct one. didn't you asked for Grooved & Dimpled gold passivated one?
  12. Hi James, That image I put on the 1st post of this thread was actually wrong as RDA put up the wrong one on their website. they have fixed it now. Your grooved & dimpled rotors pattern should look like below. this is the correct one. If it is not let me know what they gave you... did they give you the plain one?
  13. quote sent... Order batch 44: - nightcrawler (waiting for payment to clear)
  14. i think the regulation is there for a reason e.g. to prevent anyone attaching 50 set of brake lights like light bulbs around a moulan rouge dancer's dressing room mirror. i'd be pissed driving behind such car with hundreds set of brake lights blinding my eyes every time it brakes. so i think the maximum is three. that's why there's no term for 4th brake lights.
  15. maybe they're not suppose to work together, as if you got the 3rd brake spoiler then why would you need the 3rd brake light behind the rear windscreen is for? it's probably not that visible from behind. otherwise you can just get a cable and tap it to where the spoiler cable is... positive usually is the one with a red line or black line on the wire. if in doubt use a multimeter. i really won't have time to pull my boot apart, as it's gonna be a very busy for me as my mother in law, grand ma in law and auntie in law are all visiting...
  16. spotted a silver and a white v35s while havin dinner at j surf n turf in brighton. were dining there too?
  17. what are you trying to do? are you trying to install an OEM spoiler (with 3rd brake lights in the spoiler) on a car that didnt come with one?
  18. Oh, maybe that's what the 1st option is for in each service category setting... (when you get to step 4)
  19. is this replacing the OE screen with a touch screen that fits into the original screen housing, or somehow sticking a layer of transparent touch screen (if that technology exist - i believe it does) on top of OE screen?
  20. you're welcome... does it solve your problem?
  21. You're all welcome... r33linerider if you read this, check your pm. TNT need to confirm your delivery / contact details. you got your consignment # in your pm - give em a call

  23. 8-10 minutes??? ppl in sunshine reported felt it too, but as I was in Brimbank Central keeping the in-laws entertained while they shopped at Miller's & Payless really puts me to sleep till I felt nothing about the earthquake... or perhaps it was the beer I had after work...
