seriously??? my sis in law works @ Nortel... there's been talk like she's been waiting for the severance package as she's been there for a while... but she hasn't got the sack yet... and still working on a few projects... smaller projects... if it's bankruptcy then there's no package????

  5. Scotty, ducki, I got your quotes sent - check your PM RS4StagMan, I can supply you RDA7693S (R33 front slotted) and RDA908S (R32/R33 rear slotted) but you will have to do the machining down yourself as listed below... Is that ok? I can supply in plain (no slots) if required too... Pads - I have no idea, sorry but if you can dig out a measurement diagram from the front pads that you have, I can have a look at EBC's diagram and find the closest match...
  6. Scotty, RS4, ducki, will reply tonight... cheers.
  7. Yes, the V35's factory leather wrapped shifter is considered a beauty compared to what I used to have in the R33, or basically any Nissan from the 90s era! Those ugly T bar shaped.... ugh...
  8. From ebay? you have a what... $30k - $35k worth of car and you put your trust on some overseas seller telling you the kit that cost a couple hundred is fine and won't come loose when you're doing 110 on the freeway? if anything happen he would not have any responsibility and you'd be very unlikely be able to recover anything from him since he is not in Australia. I'm sure they (Bridgestone) are just being safe, as if something is wrong you could put the fingers onto them arguing it was a faulty worksmanship, etc.. and they have to go through all sort of paperwork to prove otherwise... and also they DO care about your safety as by law they have a "duty of care". There has been cases where dodgy, cheap 'camber kit / arm' actually snapped as they could be made out of the wrong material or unable to support your car's weight or the forces during cornering, or the thread just wears out prematurely. If you still want to put it on otherwise for any reason (e.g. racing), take it to performance workshop that would normally specialising in modified cars, e.g. turbo swap, FMIC, etc, as they'll be more likely to do the job with 'non-AS / ADR approved' parts as is with all aftermarket turbo, FMIC from japan or china that are definitely not ADR approved. Try Centreline in Thomastown or Fulchrum suspension, if not try Chasers in Dynon Rd. But I cannot guarantee that upon inspecting your camber kit they could indeed saw it just as Bridgestone saw it as 'weak' and refused to do the job. But at least you could have asked so you get a 3rd or 4th opinion... However if you're going with Centreline I would say you'd be better considering the Whiteline camber kit as Centreline is the official distributor and the Whiteline kit is an Australian product so you have some guarantee and support from local manufacturer if anything is wrong. I believe 350Z's suspension part will fit on V35.

More to emission issues. Changing the OEM intake system that has been well enginereed for hours to achieve balance between emission, noise, performance etc will change your fuel mixture which in turn will change the emission composition of harmful gasses out of your exhaust. Most aftermarket upgrades are designed with performance in mind and disregard the emission side of things...
  10. Just need more time to bed in properly onto the rotors surface, particularly performance pads like redstuff.

  12. Thank's David. That was the GTT (turbo), what we need now is from R34 GT (non turbo) MRXTCZ, if you can get me measurement (preferrablel all in mm): Measure for your front rotors (R34 NA non turbo) 1) Rotor overall diameter 2) Rotor thickness 3) Rotor hat height (you can measure this from where the hub's hat meet the disc rotor surface, and adding the rotor thickness will give you the total rotor hat height) 4) Centre hole diameter of the rotor's hat (i believe all Nissan will be 68mm) 5) turn the rotor over, and measure the inside hub hole diameter Do the same measure 1-5 above on your rear rotors (R34 Na non turbo) See picture attached below, if anyone can do it I will take this forward... You can save the picture, add your annotations to it and send it back to me via pm or post it here. Also don't forget to mention if your R34 GT NA is a sedan, coupe. Based on what people has told me, I am expecting to see different size for coupe and sedan, and potentially 2 different sizes for sedan depending on the grade... which is why it's getting a bit confusing... PS: also include mention if your front and/or rear rotor is ventilated or solid disc

  14. in that case I have not experienced the pinging... although it happened like a rattling engine sound 1-2 second after the car haven't been started for 2 days. is that cos there's no oil in the valvetrain/head?
  15. Is it just for regular maintenance or for performance in mind? Have you noticed any difference doing so? If just for regular maintenance, can't the local Nissan dealer do it?

great background. did you use flash & tripod? might be better if the car is brighter (not as greenish), something to do maybe with the white balance setting in the camera, or otherwise you can change the colour balance using a good photo editor...

  20. if anyone fiddled with mine it will most likely be Nissan dealer doing the 50000km service. does anyone have info if the timing on V35's VQ35 is the same as local 350Z ? as I suspect nissan would have used 350Z's data to perform any engine related service.
  21. I was in a roundabout in Sunbury yesterday and I momentarily about to start but saw a car that suspectly going to turn my way so I brake, then saw the car wasn't, so I accelerate again quickly and had a tyre chirp than a rattling kind of noise ta ta ta ta, is that the one you're talking about? or is that my ESC turning on? it's happening too quick I didn't have chance to look down and see if my SLIP light was on as it's too dangerous to do that in the middle of a busy roundabout.
  22. pm sent. Batch 42 orders: - blk180 (waiting for payment to clear)
  23. any model number just for a quick reference?
  24. Had a slight mistake, Groovies RRP price for R34 GTT front 7957G should be $575 = 7701G, not $465. Same with Slotted 7957S = 7701S price GB price of course is a lot lower than $575
  25. no worries, that price sounds about right I think I paid my 2nd one about $126
