  1. any idea to what extent the factory tv/nav buttons can control the tuner? e.g. volume +/- by moving joystick left/right and changing channel with up/down? just at that level or more sophisticated eg. switching to av1/av2 etc?
  2. YES - but mine's HiTV not asuka. generic emulation or model specific?
  3. yep factory colour scheme looks fine... unless you want a trance version LOL...
  4. weak batteries do all sort of weird things on the car... my car refused to turn off the headlight when the battery is weak... how weird is that? go figure.
  5. you guys really need an english conversion... that message will be in english once the software is installed.
  6. local dealers are always 'excited' to see a V35 on their workshop floor... and by now they should pretty much be familiar with them...
  7. PM Chris Rogers, he is on the forum with that userid - he's in brissy
  8. Just bought this a while ago from The Tuners Group.... some paddle shift works on 350Z - V35, and I assume it should work on M35 stagea as well... ? got myself busy over the weekend and finally got them on...
  9. the stupid lowlife probably thinking he was gonna score an R35 GTR
  10. I wouldn't say no cop attention... Had a cop turned his head and followed me with his eyes as I drove past him while he was pulling over another car and writing a fine... and I was doing like... 50km/h just coming off a right hand turn, std exhaust so no undue noises... It was in Boronia... Just a matter of time before every cop car knows what V35 Skyline looks like. Oh by the way, Skylines has been dubbed in Herald Sun as the noisiest car in the recent pipe down operation. So expect more surpirses. Those who are scared to receive the attention of cops, just don't drive at all, don't buy a V35, or just don't do anything stupid in any car really. or buy a V35 sedan, you'll blend in with Maximas very well...
  11. i heard they're good...

    Dumpling Joints

I second that... who's the amateur? that place was in my recommendation list too if you read it.... and yes, cleanliness might be an issue - it's totally up to you if you wanna turn a blind eye.... from memory the little bowls they provided for sauce looks like have permanent dye in it from previous serve of sauces.... hm.... but isn't that what makes it all so tasty??? like a good wine in an old oak barrell....
  13. is the pines considered Donvale?

    Dumpling Joints

First Taste @ Footscray, they have dumplings with chunky whole prawn in it, big size! also sports various chinese herb soup, one of it was like the penis of an ox... was said to be very potent for.... you know what I mean... try it if you're game enough. South China Sea Family (I think) @ Flinders Lane city Dumpling Plus @ swanston st there's also another one opposite dumpling plus further up the street on the same stretch but I can't remember what name then ther's the usual Shanghai Dumpling chinatown down one of the lane
  15. Oh thank's god... you got me really worried there.... saw 4 places around east donny today.... impressed, close to school, quiet / peaceful surroundings not to mention INFORMATION OVERLOAD from all those places, etc... still have to look around a lot more places...
  16. hopefully the FIRB decision can kerb that. I'm asian but like the rest of you white boys/girls, africans, afghans, indians, lankans, lebs, viet, jap, chinese, arabs, etc... I'm a local working pop/mom who paid our taxes and I don't like the ideas of overseas fellow who doesn't even live in australia or doesn't pay tax here, coming in and stock piling houses and cut us all out of the market, be them asian or not. that issue apart... I don't mind asian monies but.... when you say drug monies... r u serious or just joking ? pm me if u don't wanna elaborate here... we're about to look at a few place in doncaster east but dun wanna walk into a 'trap'... maybe i'm a bit too paranoid but with a toddler to raise.... hope you'll understand where i'm coming from. oh yeah, it looks like it'll be donny east, doncaster is now getting a bit way too expensive...
  17. yeah I know... if it wasn't in preparation for future kid's school, I wouldn't wanna move again... wife says move now, while we can still find price circa $700k, if we wait another 3-5 years it may all be too late... look at Camberwell, I saw what I would literally consider a run down dog shack asking for $1million. all cos those parents who wanna send theirs to Melbourne Grammar or PLC.
  18. Oh and is the Doncaster park+ride any good/safe? We past by but looks like the parking space is not that large and would guess it would be packed quite early... but I could be wrong - if it could be bigger than what it looks...
  19. thank's tim... check ur pm...
  20. Anyone here local @ Doncaster/Doncaster East??? Me & Mrs thinking to get a property there... mainly attracted due to people saying lots of options for good reasonable schools. I know transport can be a pain with no train except just bus or car, but apart from that, what about other things? Security? Local amenities? Parks, gardens? druggies problems?
  21. how much Bose S2 going around in auction these days? if the wiring are straightforward might worth swapping those on the S1?
  22. it's a firmware update, once done you don't have to keep the cd in there. the original dvd rom unit must be intact, there has been cases where the dvd rom in the upper glovebox had been butchered to make way for aftermarket unit, these cars, as Chris said, can't be updated/flashed anymore.
  23. can you import oils from overseas, e.g. shipped via EMS, or do you need special permit/freight? e.g. sea freight?
  24. the russian developer is very adamant to protect their work against piracy so software will be installed in person, so if you're in Melbourne, let me know, otherwise if you're in QLD then Chris Roger is the guy... hm, re swapping boot lid and tail light, if the price difference is not much why don't you go with S1.5 and S2 as they're newer cars? Oh and software for 2005 update version of V35 will available from approximately July onwards. at this moment we can only do up to the 2004 model (the one before interior face lift)
  25. no idea but there's aftermarket spoilers etc. no idea about internal one but S2 has a little button under left taillight for external boot release - IMHO S2 flapless boot and taillight looks better than S1 no, need aftermarket BT kit & ipod kit. Some V35 sedan comes equipped with factory phone option but not sure if connectivity works with all phones. USDM G35 Bose will make FM frequency but AM frequency will be stuffed. Cheaper to keep head unit JDM and add fm band expander. interface in jap, but we have a network of xanavi english software language installer. Andy65b is the main distributor in NSW, I'm for Victoria, Chris Rogers for QLD, etc... You might be able to swap the whole guts of G35 into it but you'll loose TV function, as in US they do not have TV function. 350Z is different, the brain more similar to S2 but the screen output wiring might be different. The JDM brain has JDM TV Functionality, the Jap TV Tuner has Aux In connector so the possibility is 'endless' as you can add more stuff through the aux-in.... e.g. Aus TV Tuner... Nelson aka siu_loong_bao has nismo front bar yes lowers the car by 1-1.5in probably not here but u do have access to yahoo jp? power is I t ink around 30-50hp less than 350gt's 280hp. still not a bad, cheaper alternative oh and S1 comes with 6sp manual, rare, or 5sp auto or 8sp cvt on 350gt-8 only. try stay away from gt-8, tranny oil $1k+ excl labor - can't use maxima/murano cvt oil different transmission - if you break the cvt, closest repair in NZ, or looking at around $20k replacement. It's smooth but can be prone to problems if cvt oil not changed past 60k-80k km. 6sp m/5sp at are 350z items no worries for local support.
