  1. I don't mind in L/100KM as that's the convention used here in Australia. In asian countries like Japan where the car come from, consumption is often measured in km/l to show how much km you get from each ltr you put in the tank... the mindset there is the bigger the number on screen, the better it is.
  2. Where does the AV out plugs into? routed to the back of the vehicle into a the TV tuner, or straight to the aux on the factory screen?
  3. read a couple posts up, we are discussing it at the moment, stuck with hub size which we need to find out if it's the same as the gtr hub
  4. Thank's that will be great. You should be good with redstuff around town.
  5. Also regarding the pads, it'll be between red or yellow depending how often you track them. Yellow is better for more trip to the track and can be driven on the highway on the trip home, but it is not recommended if you need to spend some time in the car during daily traffic. Red is better for daily use and occasional track however it is not a circuit pad and therefore you need to be reasonable on the track - most club track day with flying 3-4 laps are normally not aggressive enough to destroy these, if your circuit format requires more aggressive approach (e.g. semi competition) then might worth investing in 2 pads: yellow for the track and a minimum green for daily driving.
  6. Raps86, I need an assistance from R34 GTT owners as we do not have any test mule car to play with. We are guessing that R34 GTR rotors (324mm) can be machined down to 310mm to fit R34 GTT. However we need a willing R34 GTT owner to pull off their existing brake rotors and measure the size of the hub where the hole at the back of the rotor fits over the hub. R34 GTR has it around 130mm, if the R34 GTT is the same or smaller it can be made to fit, however if the R34 GTT is bigger then we have a problem. If that can be confirmed, then RDA can machine them all down to 310mm and work out the pricing. Also in Group buy 31, anyone ordering rear redstuff pads for R34 GTT, R33 Gtst, R32 Gtst there will be a delay as the rear DP3826 will be restocked by next Tuesday. Anyone else not affected will get their pads/rotors soon.

  14. russky, I would have thought this is more likely due to the pads, not rotors. But if it's a groovy you had then the extra cooling may be the reason as brakes works better when they're warmed up. If your old pads are not standard, i.e. you had a racing pads, with the grooved rotors on then the combination may be too 'cold' for street driving, might worth considering 'downgrade' to a street pads. I may be putting some grooved on mine, haven't decided on pads yet - possibly gonna use redstuff as I don't track my car so yellow's too cold for me. but it will have brembo calipers on so the extra stopping power might give a different feel to yours... i'll let you know...
  15. were pads replaced with brand new when the rotors go in? or perhaps the sound of escape air out of the little dimples and/or slots... tunnels are bad, they bounces and amplifies all sort of tiny little noises even the one you shouldn't be worrying about...
  16. engine, drivetrain, suspension & braking are pretty much similar. power windows motor the same. oil filter/air filter is easy. exhaust from 350Z can be used but need to have an extension pipe of about 10-20cm because 350Z is shorter. interior, seat, body panels, headlights and stuff are different - you can get some trims from USA but things like dash, seat, door panel will be LHD oriented and may not fit - keep in mind when ordering body parts - our passenger side is driver side in USA. Otherwise try to get someone with japanese FAST and lookup part no that you need and try approaching local Nissan dealer if they're willing to import the parts for you with the part no you got. basically for service purpose, if you take it to nissan they should be able to service it. it's the same engine anyway. for accident purpose just get it fully insured and if anything happens the insurer or the repairer would either have to source parts all covered by insurance. or take the lum sum and find another one. an '03 V35 can be insured for $40k which would be enough to find another one in case of the bad happens. Just don't under-insure your car value just to try to save premiums, I tried different quotes and it only saves less than $100 by reducing a few thousands of coverage, a saving not worth to not getting the higher cover.

  20. If the car is still in Japan it'll probably best not to as you might have problems with compliancing it with the dent in the chassis rail (structural) and rust. If the car in Australia and it is very cheap, then it'll be up to you - these cars are not exceptionally rare so there will always be a better one offered for sale...
  21. If the snow button you're referring to is next to the gearshift lever - then wrong explanation. Snow button is standard on automatics - it lets the car starts on 2nd gear to minimise slippage when driving on ice/snow. My old R33 auto had it, even our local delivered RAV4 has them (although it's fully imported from Japan - not assembled in Altona).
  22. you're welcome...
