Group Buy 31 orders received: - Cain (payment cleared) - J'z R33 (payment cleared)

Final verdict is not for me to say but looking at how V36 screen is different to V35, I would likely be confident to say it won't work... unless the company do another version for V36... So in Singapore there was no infiniti dealership network? And the Nissan there didn't officially import a local version of this car?

RDA has charged my account this afternoon, that means they have start processing the orders - should start shipping out Monday...
-
Glad you like it Mark the redstuff should bite more than the green... i'm thinking to find some 350z brembo calipers - that is if the calipers bolt on to touring model (no brembos)
-
Does anyone here know if a 350Z brembo calipers and/or R34 GTR brembo calipers will bolt on to the stock non-Brembo V35 hub?

Hi Guys - sorry for not getting back quick enough. I've been terribly busy at work - with delayed projects output, an FTP server melt down yesterday, plus a system software bug I need to sort out within 4 hours tomorrow morning, which really just made my week ! Finally got a spare 5 mins and I've just spoken to the guy @ RDA and he'll sort everything by tomorrow - I've had my order sitting in his inbox haven't been touched yet as they're very busy at the moment... They'll tell me tomorrow when the Group Buy 30 orders will be processed & shipped and whether anything is out of stock... At this time I would have estimated the delivery will be pushed out another 1 week Regards, Rianto

alright - will follow up with RDA to see if there's any holdup in stock - I'm just worried they're getting very busy nearing end of financial year... brake retailers might be spending up big with them before the tax time...
-
and keeping it auto would mean you won't need a manual pedal box and probably can use existing CVT 8's pedal box (accel & brake - no clutch pedal needed), and is the handbrake on CVT 8 is the same as in 5sp auto - which is actually a foot pedal next to the brake pedal? in manual the handbrake is a real hand brake lever next to the gear shift lever, so again you'll be up to more parts to replace for going to manual conversion.

If you do go with option B might worth a small investment to fly to NZ, checkout the guy's workshop and do some homework on local forums or people who have serviced their transmission in that person's workshop. If the guy's legit, it may save you $10k, as going for option C might cost a bit less than $10k I imagine (with parts and labour) and your steering wheel +/- shift paddle may not work anymore... plus finding a mechanic might be a challenge as these car is relatively new not many will know them as well as the old R32/R33/R34 range. I had an R33 gtst auto to manual conversion - 4 yrs ago cost $5k parts and labour. for a car this new, go figure. estimated maybe $8k-9k but you do end up with a real manual. so both B & C is worth considering, but I not A in my opinion.

Just a quick follow up if anyone from Group Buy 30 has received their rotors - if not I will follow up delivery with RDA this afternoon...

LOL - i thought nissan should have fixed them (fuel gauge sensor) 10 years after the R33....

anyone used shell's v-power racing 100 octane? i'm just worried about the E5 (ethanol) content in it as not all cars are compatible, and as with imports I have not found any references whether V35 is Ethanol tolerant... -
any news if any OEM solution works? as i've got the cc buttons from USA already... if no oem solution works then i'll hand these over to the aftermarket brigade to get it crackin' n goin'

Is it a mere faulty in-tank gauge signal reading or do you actually can only put less litres of petrol in your tank when refilling?
-
highway driving will of course saves a lot of fuel... cos basically the car is just cruising with hardly any extra load applied. kinda almost idling all the way and just a little bit of load to keep the speed... if being used in start and stop traffic jam its a different story. I had my old R33 able to do almost 10L/100km up to 15L/100km depending on where it's being used mainly. all highways - 10L, daily traffic with very calm driving 12L, and lots of having fun after turbo upgrade = 15L/100km I would imagine V35 would do the same - although Penny, if your car still doing that bad on highways - must be a bad tune or have you been putting bad fuel in it? Penny is your "full tank" actually you waited before the needle reached "E" and refill then measure the distance you travelled? Or still have at least a quarter in it? Remember that even on "E" mark on your fuel gauge, the tank actually would still have about 5-10L left in it. On a spare weekend why not fill the tank up to 1 click on the nozzle, take a reasonable drive on highway, e.g. 1-2 hours each way, and refill up to 1 click again. then you measure how much ltr you put in on 2nd fill, divided by hwy distance u covered * 100. Do the same again but now compare to when you actually use the car daily to work/uni/shops in traffic jam. you'll see the difference. Also - when you open your fuel filler cap when it's about to empty, if there is no hiss of gas means your fuel filler cap might not be tight or vacuum. that way your car is loosing petrol through evaporation. there's whole lot of other factor that can cause you not getting the distance for the petrol you put in...

fuel - i reckon normal. as you may find joyness in newfound 206kw power, you may drive it quite spirited and the car will drink fuel like drinking happy juice. getting 500km+ is possible but please drive like a nanna. let all those falcodore & hyundai excels beat the crap out of you at the traffic lights.

It's best for you to use stock HID kit that come from factory but are removed during compliance. if you import your car yourself see if you can get back the original ballast and ignitor that was removed from the importer/compliancer if not then you'll only be left with an option of hunting one from Nissan or getting aftermarket one. There's been a lengthy discussion about HID headlights if you do look into the forum of this V-series section. No go on the nav, all will be Japanese, no translation - a russian company still in progress for translation of screen (not nav) for sept this year but don't be surprised if it the estimated date goes beyond september due to the complexity of the process. again there is also a thread about this - look around. you could install a 3rd party aussie nav on top of your tv system. go thru the aux input. again, there is a lengthy thread about this - search.

should be yesterday the earliest, or next week. will follow up with them on Monday, latest I would expect end of next week unless they run out on some parts.
-
Glad to hear... would you mind taking some photos and post it here, I think someone wanted to see it in flesh on any car... I had my R33 sold long time ago and I've lost the only rather crappy picture that I ever took of the slotted rotors on mine...
-
would still be a long wait, as the dates have now been pushed to September... so check back this thread in a few months time In the meantime, does the Navigation DVD ROM unit controls what comes out on the trip computer screen display? Was wondering if chucking in a USDM G35 one would display some US specific trip computer screen?
