  1. that button only fits series 2 interior?
  2. Was it a straight swap & plug? Or requires some re-wiring? If only I knew I would've gotten it done at the same time, since I was away for 5 weeks overseas anyhow!
  3. oh wow, are those english buttons stick on or from us spec g35?
  4. Lol, yeah i'm getting old... fixed
  5. Update to Group buy 28 orders: - Rekin for R32 gtst front slotted rotors (payment cleared) - FAT34 for R34 EBC green pads (waiting for payment to clear)
  6. My shifter surround is dented a bit, just the round part (silver in this pic). Don't worry about the woodgrain look that's not a pic from my car. Anyone got a part number for this and whether this can be ordered separately?
  7. Hi guys... In addition to the RDA rotors group buy that I have going on here, I'm wondering how many of you are interested to have your front standard brakes upgraded from: R33 Gts-t 296mm R32 Gts-t 280mm To: R33 GT-R 324mm The upgrade will be using a pair of RDA front slotted or RDA front grooved & dimpled rotors for R33 GT-R PLUS a billet adapter so that you can use your standard stock calipers with the new rotors. At the moment there is no plan to upgrade the rear ones as both R32/R33 Gtst will have 297mm from factory and this IMHO should be enough for light, occassional club track day. If we can get like at least 10 people of each R32 & R33 owners, maybe I can get the package price somewhere under $800 delivered for sloted rotors or under $1000 for grooved & dimpled package. So let me know and if I see enough interest I'll organise this brake upgrade group buy ASAP...
  8. Well if it's feeding into one of the 2 AV sources (one is taken up by garmin already) you can just have the rear camera turned on regardless whether you're moving or not (seeing what it looks like behind you while you're driving on highways) but of course having it turned on automatically (including popping up the screen) when the car is in reverse would be very useful... Is there a cable under the auto shifter that can be tapped into to trigger the screen popup and automatically going to the TV's source that's connected to the camera?
  9. Did u get to keep the xenons after compliance ? not sure if my 03 coupe came with one, as even if they (raws) would have removed mine, can't blame the raws as that's what they're suppose to do but it's a b*tch to reconvert it back. nice looking sedan
  10. I finally got it started using a portable jump starter as it was parked in a garage with awkward position so a normal jumper cable is not long enough to connect to the other working cars. driveway was a bit slope so don't really wanna push it out in case it can't start and can't push it back up into garage. Options: just normal premium, semi leather, tv, bose, steering wheel audio control, pretty much plain, added Chris Roger's garmin nav & the tv tuner but since lost of battery power have lost the digital channel settings, gotta get it up on a high ground to have it rescan, at the moment only getting abc & sbs in my suburb. Once the engine started, it fixes all weird electrical issues. Chris told me car runs a CAN (controlled area network) any power drop from battery is gonna cause weird things happenning in V35 including unable to turn off headlights! how funny is that! Now killing the reverse beeper is that I never heard a beeping in aussie delivered cars when it's put into reverse (unless a reverse parking sensor is installed) and the std japanese reverse beeper just doesn't work like parking sensor, it's just beeping with constant interval no matter how close you get to the car/wall/tree behind you when reversing... alternatively whether the reverse beeper can be wired to a parking sensor so it works with varying interval depending how close the distance to an object at the back...? OH! and pics are in the other thread in importing forum: fresh off the boat....
  11. What's the cost of adding rear cameras? If too expensive probably best just to settle with audible reverse parking sensor, the one that beeps... That brings up a bit off-topic question: the standard reverse beeper, how can I kill it?
  12. Finally had it in the garage. Not quite fresh off the boat as I haven't seen it since auction purchase went straight to secure storage, and when landed it went straight to compliance workshop in Brissy, and only until now it got delivered to Melbourne... Thank's to Geoff from Prestige for his assistance in importing this car, Isaso for compliance, and Chris Rogers for the audio/navi conversion. I still can't get Ch 7, 9, or 10 though... as the battery went flat and I had to re-scan the channels, and so far only managed to get SBS & ABC. It's bloody dirty covered in dust and a bit of grease... gotta give it a bit of an interior and exterior clean... It's a huge car in the garage, can barely fit it in the camera. Got a infiniti badge on the boot but the grill still has nissan badge. Anyone know where to source an infiniti grill badge?
  13. Managed to try 1 station, 101.1 Mhz Mix FM in Melbourne = 85.1Mhz on the Bose factory audio. Tried to get 101.9 Mhz Fox FM, but nothing was heard on 85.9Mhz :-( Will try again once I got the car started... the jump start cable wasn't long enough for bad position in the garage.
  14. Ok, coupe arrived today. Battery was flat. Cannot start car. Once window is wind down, it cannot wind back up. This makes sense because lifting up window may require extra force, and the battery has not enough force to do that. 2nd stupid thing that I can't understand: Turned headlight on, and now it cannot be turned off. Does this have anything to do with battery??? The only way to turn off headlight while the battery is low is by disconnecting the battery terminal. Now the car sits in the garage (lucky) with windows down. Ok I can understand windows won't wind back up with not enough battery power, but headlights won't turn off???
  15. If the new rotors are 2mm thicker that would be 1mm towards each side of the calipers. Should be ok, if not have your new pads shaved down 1mm each time you replace pads.
  16. Group buy 28 orders: - Rekin for R32 gtst front slotted rotors (payment cleared)
  17. Ok, batch 27 is now sent to RDA. Batch 28 is now open till 24 March, delivery expected last week of before 31 March.
  18. I just received my Consumer Information Sheet from the compliance workshop which stated that both driver and passenger mirrors have been replaced with flat mirrors. I thought only driver side is required for imported cars, has the rule recently change now? Or is it model specific, i.e. for V35 both have to be changed but for others i.e. R33 not required?
  19. How does this expander really works? Eg converting the japanese 14 band wide 76 - 90 Mhz to suit intl 20 band wide 88-108 Mhz... so if I want to listen to aussie's 101.1FM in Melbourne, on a std V35 japanese stereo I should tune so the display on the radio shows: 101.1 Mhz - base range 88 Mhz = 13.1 Mhz X 14/20 band converter = 9.17 Mhz + jap's base 76 Mhz = 85.17 Mhz or showing 86.15Mhz on the japanese radio if it supports .05 fine tuning, or if not tune the japanese radio to 86.2 Mhz. Is that how it works?
  20. street use only? red pads front is ok. if you plan to do a few circuit racing with your local club, i'd recommend in yellow pads
