spotted a white V35 coupe this evening on Monash Fwy driving towards the city and into domain tunnel...
a few days ago V35 white sedan parked on A'beckett st
I never said 7-8 l/100kms city for 3.5L
average is 12-15 l/100kms city for 3.5L from what I've seen across various 350GT so far
8-10 is achieveable freeways
7-8 l/100kms I think can be achieved by the 2.5L (two and a half litres) engine (the 250GT)
yep - if you want a bit more power and not too concern on achieving 7-8ltr / 100km in traffic jams, go for 350gt.
some 250gt can return very good fuel economy, and even though they made less power they're not too bad compared to other cars within the same engine size range...
The factory navi screen can still go wrong, as well as the i-key... you're not bullet proof, Son Gokou...
power window and door lock are also candidate to go wrong in these cars... Welcome to Nissan world
all thank's to the good ol Nissan engineering... 10-15 years since the R32/R33 era and they still can't make a reliable power window motor.
happens in local Maxima, 350Z too so it's not a problem anyone can't fix locally - so it's not the end of the world when (not if) that happens.
it's not about back green red etc
as long as they'r Reg90 material they'll work from cold
i had no problem on reds even in frosty morning - no need warm up
only tools with their tools use power tools on McGard (or basically any non-OEM nuts)
it is clearly stated in the McGard manual NOT TO use power tools. you will find the same power tools are not recommended even on other brands, so it is not a fault on McGard quality or workmanship.
I bought a socket and a wrench from local parts store. that did the job to replace the stock jack wrench.
use hand to tighten or untightened the bolt, leave the powertools for the shitboxes
I bought myself some McGard wheel nuts. They're quite expensive but they're really sturdy and worth the money.
http://www.mcgard.com/
comes with slim sleeve locknut tool - the catch is it's imperial 13/16" so our metric socket provided in the car may not fit - but there's autobarn for all socket size u need...
I had a look at a few JDM option but those aluminium lightweight nuts from the likes of 5zigen seems like they don't have enough strength since they're so light. tru or not i'm not risking to find out seeing my wheel fly off to a cliff while i'm balancing three-wheels into a chicane!
my fair share of driving daily over these years I've noticed a wide spread of dickheads and tools on the road, consisting of:
- the usual falcodores
- magnas
- camrys
- 4WD (black ford & red shitbox pajero)
- white toyota corolla
- yellow S15
- blue V35
- bmw 3xx
they're just everywhere no matter what car they drive
Wow, didn't logged on till now and just realised it has turned into some fiery discussion...
I've been driving my skyline everyday over the past 6 years, both R33 turbo (in RED) and my current V with big rims.
Not being stopped once for no reason, the only times got pulled over a couple of time was was due to own fault.
not the V36 350GT though, Nissan 350Z is different and 370Z is only similar to the V36 370GT in terms of most mechanical part (apart from interior, exterior panels, and bits and bobs of other parts).
My guess if the AWD is available for import - the transmission part will be out of the question as local 350z/370z are not offered in AWD.
The only other way is to wait 10-20 years until they become as common as R32 today.
nice upgrade... probably if you can find lightweight forged rims that's lighter than your 19 might help, or a slightly higher springrate.
but the '05 comes with forged RAYS rim so finding one that's lighter than the OEM one can be difficult. probably time for new set of sports springs?
