  2. I remember reading something about this, Who ever wrote it said something about the heat build up in the pipe and it not being able to escape. But when you think about it logically the air inside the pipe should be cool after it goes through the intercooler anyway, so try it and see what happens and post your findings
  3. Swaped out your coil packs? They seem to be a common problem.
  4. Hey all, as you may have read elsewhere in this forum I have just bolted a turbo into my GTS, all thou I have had some problem only one remains. When the revs and boost get up (4000+RPM or 6+PSI) it starts to mis, I was told by a "friend" that I need different spark plugs as the non turbo runs hotter plugs . . . or something to that effect, so basically should I change my plugs or just there gap, what sparkplugs/gap do you recommend for a RB20DE with a turbo? Cheers
  5. Well I found out that the turbo may be off a cefiro which is OK and all, but where the hell do I put a BOV on it??
  6. Hey there. I’ve just turboed my R32 GTS, the parts I’ve added/replaced follow: Replaced with parts from GTS-T: Manifold AAC Valve Oil Pressure Sensor (not sure why thou) O2 Sensor Added with parts from GTS-T: Turbo waste gate etc. Intercooler It is not running 100% t the minute but im getting that sorted hopefully on Monday it's just a matter of sorting out the A/F mixture, Hope this helps.
  7. Well got my car back today unchanged, the guy said its nothing to do with the timing but it looks to be an air/fuel problem. He ran out of time to do anything about it today. On Monday he's going to do tests and stuff with his oscilloscope. I just nodded a said OK as if I knew what he was talking about.
  8. not very long at all as short as it could be why is that, is it safe to be running that high, i think mines at 9psi
  9. Cheers for that, what boost were you running the ex NA at? How do I turn down the boost on mine? Is this flutter thing a problem I've read a bit about it on these forums but it seems know one knows if it's a harmful thing.
  10. I have just installed a turbo into a GTS and have a few problems I thought you guys could shed some light on. The best way I can describe the problems is when it boosts from about 5psi up it starts to miss, but it only happens in third gear and over, and from about 3000 rpm and up. When the gas is let off the blow off valve does not release the pressure equally, it sort of flutters and the boost gauge jumps up and down rapidly in time with the fluttering. The parts that I got with the turbo are a GTST AAC valve and the o2 sensor. Do I need a GTST afm as well? Any info you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
