my S1 r33 runs fine without the cat sensor, an is the stock ecu, only times ive had probs like your sayin is when i had a crack in the cooler pipe connectors, due 2 loss of boost, but after james mentioned it im sure ive heard that S1 an 2 ecu aren't interchangable due 2 the s1 sendin info 2 the ignitor pack, same as an S2 ecu not workin on the S1 due to the same kinda prob. also manual an auto ecu bein slightly different as well,

good point james, the ecu are different in S1 and S2, an the S1 requiring the ignitor, would cause the car not 2 fire properly due 2 the missing ignitor pack,

this sounds similar to the problem i was having with my r33, replaced all tyres, just stopped it from happenin at 80km/h an did it at 100km/h, problem ended up being the front suspension had gone, i replaced the stock suspension with coilovers an havent had a problem since, even at 180km/h+which was done on track, not on the road

sounds like a boost leak comin from somewhere, check all your pipe work for leaks or it could be the stock ecu cant handle wats done on the car, a microtech would have been tuned 2 suit timing an fueling etc,

hey i have an r33 skyline, did the diagnostics test thing, it has 1 slow flash, then 3 slightly quicker flashes, then 10 very quick flashes, anyone know wat this means? as the warning light now stays constantly on as of today after driving through a smallish puddle at lunch time, lol
