  1. How can turbo timers be illegal when they are sold as factory item in some cars.
  2. The power out put is about right, considering im in darwin where the tunning temp was 35DEG and 70% humididty that day.
  3. Or if you can afford it RB30DE (RB30 bottom, RB25 head.) But if its just dres ups, paint rocker covers intake plenum, heat shields, change your hoses to a diffrent colour.
  4. I spoke to the tuner about my results, and after having it on the dyno he believe the valve steam seals might not be sealing properly. Reason behind this was smoke on back off, even tho all old oil should be out of the intake system (due to blown turbo). The car made 165rwkw at 12psi, with a boost controller that was not holding boost at the desired level, 14psi. (it top 16psi and bleed of to 12 psi). We will be investergating further.
  5. I think 25's may be to small for a 30. Considering most do not go below a GT28 on RB20's and the RB30 is 1L bigger.
  6. Engine was warm as i had changd the oil first.
  7. I did a static compression test on the weekend and came up with the following results. CYL 1 100psi CYL 2 100psi CYL 3 100psi CYL 4 100psi but leaked to 0 psi in 1min 40 sec CYL 5 100psi but leaked to 0 psi in 30 sec CYL 6 would not hold above 60psi unter cranking. what gets me the eng runs smooth and is still making decent power. It goes to the tuners on tuesday as i have fitted a bigger turbo. Just wondering what people think of the results.
  8. Yes mate they will fit. You may be slightly a bit more back tho. Found this when i put my mates bride seat from his coupe in to my sedan it was back a bit more then in the coupe.
  9. Andrew, Any chance th event is going to be streamed? I was able to stream the FD long beach round, just wondering if the same will happen here for those of us that cant make it. I.E live out side of melbourne (Darwin).
  10. If it was me and for just street use i would do the following. Replace all bushes with polyurathane bushes e.g. nolerthane/ supper pro. up grade the sway bars front strut brace. and if need a decent set of shocks and lowered springs. and a good wheel alimenght.
  11. I have been using the motul dot 5 up in darwin. im now going to the bendix super dot 4 which is $8/500ml compared with $30/500ml for motul. My reason for the swap motul is a lot harder to get now with the closure of autobarhn.

  23. Up date time: Had a 3 month brake from the car after the last practice. On the last meet I ended up with no hand brake and striped 3 nuts, I was also selecting 5th instead of 3rd alot due to the bush wearing out. so brought the following: Gktech exstended nuts and sutds. Gktech soild gear leaver bush Gktech magnetic sump plug Bride low max drivers seat new hand brake cables (2nd hand ones) bursons eng oil 15w50 The Gktech studs are a good pece of gear. front where east to fit with little fuss. The rears on the other hand are a PITA. It requires the removal of the hub which is exsplained below. The magnetic sump plug had no issues, but would be nice if a tool was included has i had to imporive to fit it as it takes a allen key and not a socket. I have yet to test the new gear lever bush so will mention that when i do. Rear hub removal R32 GTS-T. Remove caliper and disc. Remove all hand brake components. remove split pin and locking peace. the nut is a 36mm the bolts for the drive shaf are 15mm then there are 4 19mm bolts holding the hub on.
