Factory L24e setup I was getting 12lt/100km highway cruising Microtech fuel only LT-4 and 270cc NEW injectors was getting 8.5lt/100km

The tyre sizes make a huge difference. I had low profile 15" and acceleration was great, but revved alot on the highway. Then I had stupid high profile things, like of a falcon. Well it was doing about 190 at 6000rpm... apparently...

Friday Night At Grevillea Park

I'll come. If my shoulder is ok (physio today... tears and teeth gritting) -
Hey A. Also interested in the front grilles too! (Can pickup)

98 RON is ok, will not hurt the engine. 95 RON is also fine. I wouldnt touch the E10 or ethanol type fuels on a car this old. Engine oil, Nulon for daily driving is good (Aussie brand too) The rating of the oil (20w40 or whatever) depends on how old the engine is, If you put in a synthetic or a blend it will leak everywhere if its old. Best to check with the local autobarn/supercheap and see what it says in the brochure. Everyone will tell you their favorite oils and its a different answer from each person! For me, Penrite HPR30. Transmission, Penrite Synthetic Auto trans fluid, DEXTRON III has been good for me in the past. Tastes ok too. Spark plugs. NGK BP6ES-11 all the way. Gap to 1.1mm Only $2.50 each or so (Unless you go for the Iridium ones, which basically last for a few more years at 4 times the cost) DO NOT TOUCH BOSCH plugs for the L24 engine.

I'd look at something like 'GT-2000' or similar... will be in touch

Hey cheers for the posts, I finally got through to DOTARS, and the green import plate is a FEDERAL plate, as in all states! So as its been registered in the past within Australia, I can register it here! Woo Hoo! Now I just have to sell some crap to pay off some more stuff, then Im stuck into it. All I need to do is get a RWC and go over the pits here in Canberra (Dickson Motor Registry) apparently they can be pretty anal about stuff, so will be 100% stock...ish Sorry for the vagueness too.

I wants it, mrs says no. bugger. I do have room though if you need it looked after!! (even with 1x Holden Cruze, 1x X83 Cressida, 1x Z31, and 1x other nissan...)

Wtd: Rb20det Or Rb25de Injectors
Factory 5 replied to Factory 5's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Blast from the past. PLUS a self-reminder to get back in contact! Injectors wer 50/50, some blocked, some not. Ended up buying new USDM hose tail 270cc from 'Dr. Injector Online' for cheap. So I still have these to return to Adrian, when I remember! -
I'd take it, Just cos I never owned a Sedan Mr30! My youngest brother needs a car, will see if he is good for it....

Hi all, No idea what I'm up to. I have an Importing question... The compliance plate (green) states "... was manufactured by VAMBEX Pty Ltd..." in 1993 Im trying to get documentation etc for this car so its ready for Rego. Last registered in QLD, future rego in ACT or NSW (still undecided) Now Ive been looking everywhere, trying to find Vambex. It looks like they had a dealership in Slacks creek in the late 1990's called Kensan Imports(Kenny & Sandy) I actually found the mobile number of one of the salesmen from 1998, then later it looks like it changed to Import Vehicle Solutions (not confirmed) Phone numbers are all disconnected or be re-issued to other places. So is there a copy of my vehicle import papers held in DOTARS in Canberra at all? Any tips or ideas on what I should do?

Mine went for $1000 with 160,000km and a years rego....

I stripped down a 400,000km L24e, still had factory hone marks in teh bore, perfect compression etc. Unstoppable if looked after!

Where Do I Find Out About Texi Etc In Canberra?
Factory 5 replied to a20089's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Bought it as a finished project, built for daily duties and long cruises. Came with a trailer load of spares, literally. When its washed up a bit I'll get some pics and maybe a mini-build/ fix it diary thread. Currently waiting on the USA for cool-flex radiator hose couplers. (1.3/8" rubber joiners for the custom rad hoses) So its not running.... missed very much too. The Holden Cruze/Ignis just doesnt do it for me -

plus the guy that presents on the ads is a total f.a.g. budget direct chick, I'd tap that!

Smoke-worthy power? Im not sure, would be 140kw at the rears (ish) and about 390nM torque. Enough for a 400m speed of 189km/h Might bring a few sets of spares to see what gives good grip. -
