Nissan Infiniti Q45 '89 Jdm $4500 Ono
Factory 5 replied to MaccaInfinitiQ45's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
fark these things are rare.... ive seen front cuts in sydney go for $1500, so replacing the engine shouldnt be a problem... may as well get a turbo manifold fabbed up while ya at it... boosting these things should be illegal. absolutly insaneness good luck selling in this markets current state.... if i was hanging around it would of made a great project car. -

Anyone Got Spare R30 Rear Brake Calipers?
Factory 5 replied to coupe72001's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
theres a R30 TI hatch at pick a part-heatherdale road, 5 speed too!!! I saw it 2 weeks ago so cant guarantee its still there or in one piece. I may be able to drive out there in my lunch break to check for ya later this week. oh duh... i think i have at least one in my bits box in the shed.... will see tonight. -
how nice...

The loom could be chopped, but i already have 2 spare... its getting the final coil wiring to work is the hard bit... those oil t pieces could be had for a few bucks new at pirtek/enzed, grobably out moonah or glenorchy way, or even derwent park road near the showgrounds? (i cant remember, it was 5 years ago i was there last) i got a spare oil drain from a Z31 turbo, plus the banjo bit, in boxes somewhere, will take a while to find, may be able to this weekend...

yeh... thayd be rusted out by now ? youve had them for AGES!!!! still want those L20et rods?

L20et - Building For 250kw+
Factory 5 replied to dwayne293's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
YEP... Stroking/boring a L20Aet is definitly possible, te japs did it a fair bit, Im pretty sure you can get the L24 crank, early rods & pistons and get everything balanced nicely. but for alot less... im mean ALOT less, get a L28e from a 280zx and get that freshened up (head gasket, timing kit, head clean up) and then drop that in.... depending on oil pickup location some minor mods may be needed, im unsure on the car you have if the sump is rear bowl or front bowl... Ghostrider and stage fumer are ones to contact on whats best in that area. and start a new thread, post ya pics up fro al to see, be prepared for some offers to buy it too... -
i get pulled over purely for the fact im male and drive a shiney skyline with wide tread on the rear. they keep thinking i removed the cat too..... its pre 84 emissions dipshits!
-
ricky if you get it you'll MAKE money in parts.... The rear diff is a R180, some are 3.9 some are 4.1 and some i think are 3.44 the front shockies can take R32/33 2 pot calipers, springs are stiffer than the aussie ones there are a few guys out there after turbo bits, like manifolds etc i know noddle in tassie is keen, im real keen on the heap of stuff i mentioned before, apart forn the shockers ( im only gonna run 5 to 6 psi in an auto, so its aint gonna be a rocket needing race brakes) wouldnt mind the grille badge too I have a few hundred left for exhaust and dump, and the bits from this car. so just subtract $200 from the $500 and you get a near complete HR30 for $300... which is almost the bargain of the century (outatime got a DR 2 door for similar price i think?)
-
what you after nigel.... im sick of trying to get stuff for the L series.
-
cmon jon... sell up mate!
-
grrrr...... Always the case! Does it drive? Is there a car freight joint near you? Anyone in WA needing some extra cash!!!!
-
WOAH! finally a HR that is priced for its condition! mate if i was in your area it would be on the trailer tonight.... BUT all I woudl do is strip it and store the shell & the good bits for a rainy day. SO.... if you are going to strip it, I will give you $100 for the loom & sensors attached (the knock, head temp, water temp x 2, oil pressure,o2 in the dump pipe etc) IM DESPARATLY NEEDING THEM (pretty much all that is holding me back from finishing mine..... whens the last half decent L24et you saw!!) you could get good penny for the manifolds and sump, afm, dissy, oil pump, con rods (send em to a dat builder for their stroked Z18et setups) the rear glass for import is RARE Diff and shafts are good for the 1600 boys too , front strut assemblies are a winner, as the R32 brakes bolt onto them... fken i should buy them off ya too if the price is right. the 'skyline' rear boot trim... well pm dennis to let him know its available, if he dont want it, I'll take that too also interested in the oil lines for the turbo. pipes from turbo to throttle body so... you should be able to make more than the $500 your asking in parts alone, I have a few hundred here for the bits highlited in bold text, let me know ASAP if your interested if you are, strip the bits and get me size & weights of the packages and i will get a quote with 'busfreight' and youe have cash in the bank and i will be boosting around in my '80s cruiser 8 weeks till im out of work, then off to the army so im on this like a rash
-
Well its definitly easier to work on with an RB, plus parts are easier to come by, more aftermarket parts available, plus a few thousand more in production than the L20 so theres HEAPS of second hand shiz about. when you look at the weight of the R32, R33 and the HR31, then the weight of the R30.... the Kw per kg factor comes in and the R30 wins, as long as you have the brakes, suspension and tread to match. my mates 190kW oz R31 haf a RB30e+t, whent like the clappers, lit up in nearly every gear, looked great, BUT had stock brakes and shit lowered springs, so in a straigh tline it was insane, as soon as ya needed to slow down or take a corner, either locked up, got sideways, or brakes faded so make sure you do the WHOLE deal, not just under the bonnet! seeing as i just got offered a complete RB25de setup for $400, im considering it thats for sure...

i think this really needs to be made into a tutorial or sticky post as it keeps coming up with different combinations and solutions

R32 4 Door Turbo (g.c)
Factory 5 replied to azzaskyline's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Can you plz get me some engine bay & interior shots Am located in Melb, so need more pics! -
Just a heads up... I scored my semi-complete setup for under $500 a few years back... incl 5 speed gearbox etc! the main problem is the loom was FARRKED all the plugs chopped off, wires missing, pins missing out of plugs, sensor leads swapped.... If your interested... I will paytop dollar for the loom, even if I gave you $100 would you consider parting with it? VERY desparate... wife is interstate as of saturday, will have 4 days to finally turbo the L24 with all the goodies i have collected over the last 2 years or so. gimme gimme gimme!
