nah its completely separate... its just an aluminium pipe extension of the PS lines that loop over the front of the car to cool things down. similar to an oil cooler eh!

a mate got done 2 weeks ago on Athurs Seat in Frankerston he was doing 79 in a 60 zone, pulled over by a white un-marked VZ SS v8 commo, wasnt showing 'P'-plates he explained to cop that he couldnt see the '60' sign as the sun were in his eyes and he go done for a redlight camera the week before, cop was very reasonable, very polite and professional cop gave him fine for $175, plus 1 demerit point (wrote 68 instead of 79, let off for the missing P-plates), leaving 1 point left to last till march next year that fine plus the $235 redlight camera leaves a f*kin big hole in his pocket, and now eats homebrand beans or vegemite toast fro the next month as he's an apprentice with bugger all pay.... now i see a few things. some cops are reasonable, and fair some are knuckle heads red light cameras are a deterrent to run lights BUT massuive f*k off fines bracks is sometimes a good fella with f*kt up people working for him (as if he could think up even half the hoon laws etc) AND if they make all these turbos v8's etc illegal, then all the mods on lil 4 banger cars will be cracked down on in 5 years... just wait... once we all drive echo's and kia's n shit, it will get even more stupid BUT if we make them 800mil in revenue, dont you think that number will go down as the number of 'hoon'/modified car drivers go down? say theres 160,000(or whateva) hoons drivers/speeders/boozers etc makin 800mil, dont they realize they are gonna collapse their own budget etc if the number of cars/boozers/hoons is well, slashed... in the policy makers eyes, they want no hoon drivers (modified cars) no deaths etc. but if they succeed in doing that, where da f*k will the drain that lost revenue from? in us keeping our modified cars on the road, we continue to fund their shithouse policys and f*kt projects... lock your turbo 6's in the garage for a year, buy a $14000 MAZDA NEO and see what they come up with then.... we'll end up with bracksys budget being shot to f*k, a buzzbox car to give the wife to take shopping and visit grandma, and in 1 year we will end up with our cars still in one piece, modified to the hilt ready to bring terror to the streets once more... that brings me to another thing... how many impounded cars or ppl with lost licenses just spend the time they're off the road dropping in bigger turbos or RB26's or coilovers etc???? almos all of em eh! as if impounding is a solution. it a discouragement yes, but just a fking annoyance to the public. -

SHITE!!! sounds liek a racing team garage! unfortunately not much of it will be of any use to me as im going L24et..... i saw a S1 TRX in vic a while back... had a similar setup to yours sounds like... theres a HEAP of FJ20 lovers on OZDAT classifieds & the forum (i suggest chucking that post up on there) -
yeah mate, my Blue MR30 is in really good running order, and if it does give way one day i'll just buy another car for parts! the whole setup is still there, all bolted up... i havent checked it for leaks etc, but i did drive it 200km and there werent any problems then! theres also a few pipes that run across the front of the aircon condensor, i guess thats to cool the PS fluid.

get a R30 man! IRS 5speed 2.4lt inline 6 BULLETPROOF forged internals can buy a spare car for parts for under $500 buy a good one for $1500! (ebay and carsales have em all the time) theres a really good white one with 4 wheel discs on tradingpost for 1500 too

*READ THIS* http://ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5422 has a HEAP of info there, about 3 pages! ALSO my mate from tassie WogsRus (his username) he sent his R180 diff to get rebuilt into LSD spec, and the workshop used Subi Liberty parts and it worked really well... was in a R30 sedan (it was about 5 years ago too, so this cars probably history now...)

Get some pics up man! sounds like a weapon! The handbrake setup can be modified to have more 'bite' when you pull the lever, but its best left to a rally workshop, basically it involves lengthening the small lever the cable is attatched to at each caliper. and tightening the cable or replacing with a thicker heavy duty cable setup that doesnt flex. check the thread "CRACK...showoff blows up drivetrain" good info on diffs in there. im getting a spare R180 and welding it so i have a locker, but its only goin gin when im at the drags or 'busy' weekends... check the size of R32 Mrake baster cylinder, they go on with little problems. also what width are your rear tyres??? and where are you located! -

FFS just post the auction pics mate!!!! and i cant think of any bog stock mint condition R31 turbos anywhere, so it may pay to keep it that way! -
if you want you can take the whole powersteering system from my Ti wreck, the only prob is its a real biatch to get it all off... (plus its coated in 24 years of engine dirt shit ) my understanding is the steering box is power assisted, and the rack is standard throughout models so im sure your existing rack can be used, just bolt up the power steering box and lines and pump etc. you can have the pump & lines too if you like.... i think th e Rb30 one would fit, bit i'd be talking to a pro about that, as i wouldnt want you to have a failure!!!

i agree... Dr30 means class and oldskool toughness to me, along with many other nissan enthusiasts If you are importing one, make sure it has a FJ in it! there has been alot of interest in the FJ24det, if you ever find that one from yahoo actions bring that over, you will have the best DR30 in the whole of aus then.... possibly the world if you want to go really nus get a RB26det setup, and get it engineered... can cost around the 15k mark , but would be SO worth it! -

when i had a VL turbo wagon, the bearings in the gearbox were worn causing vibration in 1st and second under heavy load. also the rear wheel bearings needed replaceing , so these 2 things could add up. the mechanic says it was all caused by a un-balanced tailshaft... -

stiffer suspension is what you will be looking for, with some adjustable parts the get camber/castor etc. L28 intake manifold and bigger injectors Higher compression head (shaved N42 or bolt on N47) Ka24e Throttle body (big mutha fekka) 2.5 inch exhaust, maybe 2.25 some weight reduction (remove spare wheel, seats, shit in boot) new handbrak cable(get done by a pro)then re-tighten once worn in,(you WILL be useing this one a fair bit! then find a BIG open remote location and practise on shitty tyres, cos you the rubber fryer yo! oh ant whatch out for the VTEC, might kick in at ANY time!

these guys are bulshitting you.... i have seen one TURBO L24 in it go for $4000, i would aim for the $5000 mark, but there isnt a market for them apart from datto enthiusiasts. put it on ebay and say its advertised else where to see how much the bids get up to. you will wish you never sold it later on, i guarantee it!
