hey did you ever get a KA24E throttle body? I have found one at my wreckers for $27.50, man they are big! do you want me to get it for you? (im probably going there this weekend...) -
I have found out there are 2(?) kinds of L20et ECU's One has a long plug, and the other has 2 smaller plugs, Is this true? And which one should i be looking for? Cheers, Andrew

yeah... i knew half shafts would be a problem... i may aswell keep saving for the r200 L mech... didnt you reccomend a vg30 turbo not too long ago?? im getting confused!

aNOTHER QUESTION. I have found a wrecked 300ZX turbo, i am hopefully getting the turbo off it, and i was looking at the diff ( only briefly) and its MASSIVE an R230... 230mm means its a nissan 9 inch doesnt it? does anyone know if the are an LSD, and would it be an option for my MR30?? ( as i can get it chap as chips...)

ah i remember!.... ive sourced one, and the guy only wants $40 (L20et), and $30 for the matching dizzy, Do you think thats a good price?? ( i got a few other things lined up, just depends on alot of factors... ) -

yeah thought it was a bit hopeful, this guy who currently owns it does not really know much about it, and he hasnt got the details of who he bought it from 2 years ago... ah well! theres been some offers to check it out so i gotta forward details on. we'll see how we go from there! -
The old guy across the road keeps bugging me, he want to buy my R30 Hatch to get the panels off it to put on his R30 sedan thats in his panel workshop. Its driving me crazy! So, has anyone got a front bar, and the reinforcement behind it? Postage isnt too much of a problem, i just need to get him off my back. he stand across the road and stares at it all day! the car is an 1984 Aussie Ti, would of origionally had a L24e. The ENGINE is said to be an import. sorry for the confusion. where do i check for nissans listings? i cant find any info at all! the head is def. a n47 Is there much difference between a n42 and n47? there is a rebuilt n42 on ebay for $40... would it have a lower compression ratio??? thanks for the help so far! -
GET SOME PICS UP....Pics can make the sale. i bought mine for $400, mint condition. (except steering & brakes) normally a few hundred, but not much more. is it auto or manual? good tyres? last rego? km of engine? colour? sedan or hatch? S or Ti what year? And i am interested by the way.... need spares!

Hi everyone, Im in Melbourne, and i need someone to look at a car for me, its a turbo oldskool MR30. no rego etc. it has been offered to me at an unbeatable price, and i have no way to look at it (the dude has no PC either) Can someone take some time to check it out for me? some photos and maybe a short test would be great, even a sound recording of the engine... photos especially of under the bonnet are essential as i already have a mr30 but no turbo! so the engine is the most important part.... please pm me with your details if interested! I need someone to check out a 5 speed Mr30 l24eT for me in canberra. i escpext this person to be able to drive ( as this car has angry bits) Photos and test drive essential. Please reply here! EDIT: this guy is a young mechanic and he bought it from an older guy who said the engin is an import from japan. the head casting is a N47, which is a 84 onwards standard aussie head isnt it? im just thingking maybe he told the young guy that or maybe it actually was modified in japan then shipped here.... so basically the question is, is there such thing?

A few more parts are starting to pop up.... my mate has a mr30 with a L24et... and he says its an import engine?? he bought it 2 years ago and hardly used it (it was going to be his project) Anyway (depending on my finances and the condition of it all as i havent seen it yet) he is selling it to me, complete and running (5sp) with a whole other mr30sedan ( l24e) as a spare! For $1800.... Now the next question is how do i get it from Canberra to Melb? a trailer? this is only a plan as i have not seen it or heard it running yet. just seeing if its worth driving all the way up there yet... OR Get one of you guys to check it out for me??? its too good to pass up, 2x 5 speed mr30's and one's a turbo... for under $2000

I like both ideas, it would be easier to do the HR31... but how many R30 monsters are out there? it would be an absolute weapon. compliance/engineers would take a bit though... i would buy the gear out of your R30( what you got exactly?) and put it in mine, and you could use the cash for the RB25 conversion!
