  4. Do you have the exhaust gas temperature sensor? The one that screws into the catalyitic converter. I need the whole thing that includes the wire, plug and grommet that leads under the passenger seat.
  5. I want the sensor. However it's just completely stuck onto the old cat. I even tried vice grips and that failed. Then I went to it with a chisel and a bit of a knock and it still woudn't budge. In the end I just cut the cable. Couldn't be bothered going under the seat to unplug it and remove it. I checked the price at Nissan and it is very expensive for a replacement. Anyone have a second hand one for sale?
  6. I'm looking for the temperature sensor that screws into the catalytic converter. This is for an R32 gts-t.
  7. It's on an R32 GTS-T. It's the sensor that goes into the cat, i thought all Skylines had this to light up the dash light if the exhaust temperature gets too high. Anyway I decided to cut the wire and just went down to Bunnings Warehouse with my new cat and matched up the thread to an M12X1.25 bolt. I couldn't undo the temperature sensor of the old cat because it's rounded.
  8. How do you unplug ths exhaust temperature sensor? Is it under the carpet in the cabin. The sensor bolt has rounded so either I cut the cable or remove it from the plug. Can you buy a replacement from Nissan? With my new cat there's a threaded hole for the sensor, how do I go about covering this hole up if I don't replace the sensor?
  9. Hi, This is for a R32 RB20DET. I've read through all the guides and post about this procedure. I've taken my turbo off so I need to flush and refill my coolant system. The method of removing the drain plug on the engine block is just too much work. Someone else suggested filling the radiator with clean water, let it run and then cool down and drain. Doing this a few times until water is clean. Again this will take some time for each cooling process. What I'm wondering is can I take the top hose off, turn on the car and let the water come out and refill it with the garden hose in the radiator cap unitl water becomes clean? Will the cold water cause any problems on the engine? How many litres does the whole cooling system take and how much is in the radiator? That way I can work out how much coolant to add to compensate for the water in the engine block. Thanks
  10. Just recieved my cable this morning. Can't wait to try it out thanks again Pete.
  11. Hi, I'm not very good with these computer terms for pocket PC. ".NET Compact Framework 1.0 for Pocket PC" Is that just installed onto say a Pocket PC using Microsoft Pocket PC operating system? Regards, Ray
  12. Hi, Has anyone had experience with fitting an exhaust from and R32 GTR to a GTS-t. Does it require any modifications to the hangers to fit onto the GTS-t. Just want to know before I get under the car to remove my exhaust only to realise that the hangers don't line up or something. For those who want to know the specific exhaust, it's a HKS Silent Highpower. On the website it has different part numbers. http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/exhaus...issan_list.html SKYLINE(E-HCR32, E-HNR32) - Code No. 31019-AN004 SKYLINE GT-R(E-BNR32) - Code No. 31019-AN011 Ray
  13. Hi, Does the female end of the serial port on your consult cable come with the two screws to secure it to the male serial/usb adaptor? Because my serial/usb adaptor doesn't come with these screws. Only the legs like on the back of a PC.
  14. Why isn't it a good idea to use the rear diff? It's been recommended by many people on this forum to use as the rear jacking point. I've had a look at the manual and I just realised the picture shows jacking point is indeed slighty pass the the diff. I've always assumed using the diff was fine. Well it's been ok for me so far.
  15. I still haven't figured out where to place the stands for the rear of the car. This is on an R32 by the way. I've used a trolley jack on the diff before to change the wheels, but I've never had to work under the rear of the car so I've never lowered it onto stands. Where do you place your stands for the rear of the car?
  16. Just to let people know, after some searching of past posts I found this info. http://2style.net/r34sedan/hikaku/hikaku02.htm Series 1, S2, S3 GTT use different turbo "14411-AA100" s1 is nylon plastic with single blade "14411-AA110" s2 is metal with twin blade, same size as s1 "14411-AB000" s3 is metal with twin blade, made by garrett instead of nissan, bigger than s2 So later model R34 turbos did come with metal compressor blades.
  17. Really that's a metal compressor wheel, ie from a s1 R33? So not even a series 2 turbo or R34 turbo. Well I've already bought it now.
  18. Would a 1999 GF-WGNC34 Stagea be a series 2? Can anyone identify this as an R34 turbo? Apparently it's off a 1999 Stagea.
  19. Does anyone know if the turbo off a WGNC34 Stagea is the same as that used in the series 2 R33 skyline? Like is it the exact same turbo used in Skylines, ie can be bolted onto a Skyline? Ray
  20. What's ROM dumping?
  21. Looking at the turbo, how do you tell from pictures whether it's a series 1 or 2. I know series 2 had a nylon compressor wheel, ie do we look for a dull compressor wheel whereas the series 1 are shiney? Or did they change the design of the compressor blades making it easier to distinguish?
  22. Hey, I've got an R32 GTS-T. The build date is 10/1989. I've checked my car and it's got the consult port. However you said "find your 23710-xxxxx part number." What part number are you referring too? Also is this a DIY kit or pre-assembled?
  23. Anyone know the factory thread size for the RB20DET oil pressure sender? Because the aftermarket autoguage oil pressure sender I bought is 1/8"-27NPT. I tried installing this into the factory location on the engine block but it just doesn't want to screw in. I didn't want to try any harder incase I accidently thread the hole. I've searched the manual and it doesn't state the thread size. Anyone know from previous installs?
  24. Oh and one more question, does it matter which direction you install the intercooler? Like which side is inlet and which side is outlet, ie non directional? Thanks
  25. Wouldn't that make it prone for the silcone join to pop off because the pipe isn't lipped. I'll see tomorrow how I can fit the outlet pipe under the battery.
