Thanks for your input. The picture's angle does not show that all connectors on the breather tank are in fact higher than the air outlet on the engine and the radiator overflow outlet connector. The lowest connector (the one receiving feed from the top of the radiator) is about 11mm higher than the height of the air outlet on the top of the engine.

Max at Aquilla is awsome. He has done quite a bit of work for me and does my regular servicing for both my cars. Very trusted and is a gun mechanic.

Hey All, I have finally bothered to try and install my GReddy Breather Tank (for those people that reckon it's not needed, that is irrelevant to this post as I want to install what I already have bought) As usual all instructions are in Jap. So I did a bit of searching and came up with the English translation of the connection diagram on the back of the packaging: Now every connection makes sense except one. The one the needs a feed from the top of the head. I know on the RB26 there is a "Cooling System Air Drain Plug". It is just a screw fitting. This is normally used to help air escape when you are performing a full coolant flush/refill. I think it is part of a vacuum chamber which feeds to the fuel pressure regulator. So my question is where do I connect the "hot" water feed required from the head? Has anybody on SAU have a Breather tank installed in their RB26? Pictures of your setup would be nice. Any help is appreciated (saves me $$$ getting a mechanic to do it)

Have you checked the BOV operation? Are they leaking under boost? Also have you checked there are no hairline cracks in any of the turbo hoses or BOV hoses? Shoot me a PM if you want the workshop manual.

I got it too this morning. NEVER click on a link if you don't know who its from. I just blocked the "user"

I am a Perth, WA Seller. Hey All, Selling my rims/tyres: Set of Work XD9 18" x 10" Rims with 275/35/18 Falken Azenis RT615 Semi Slicks. Rims are like brand new. No scraps/gutter marks whatsoever. I bought these from JDM Concept. The only authorised distributor of Work in Australia. I have the receipt and even the certificate on authenticity from the Work Factory!! Tuff offset for your GTR. They will suit R32, R33 and R34 GTR’s. Offset is +18 all round. Colour is bronze (see pics). Comes with genuine Work lock nuts and nuts plus the four work hub centric rings that are needed to fit these wheels properly around your GTR centre hub (There's $350 right there) Note: Work don't supply the centre caps from their factory when you buy the rims. Their sold separately (around $120 for the set). The tyres were brand new and have travelled no more than 3000kms. For those that don't know these are street legal tyres. Replacement value is around $4.5K ($2.5K for rims and $2k for tyres) Selling complete for $3000 FIRM. I will ship interstate at your cost. First with the funds gets them. No “hold them till I got cash bro” NO I won't separate NO I won't swap NO I won't go lower on the price. If they don't sell then I'll keep enjoying them. I am not desperate for cash so please don't waste your time and offer less. PM or call Adam on 0424 982 764.

Back to topic, get a Greddy, HKS, ARC, Blitz, Nismo, etc....76mm cooler. If you are on a budget the cooling pro ones from just jap also do the job fine. If you are not running at least 20PSI or higher then there is not point and a waste of money to buy a 100mm cooler. As a comparison, many GTR owners out there are pushing 350AWKW with the stock cooler no probs!!! Why would your car need a 100mm if its pushing no where near that? Check out the SAU sponsers as they look after the members with good pricing.

To respond to your original post Niran, I got done by a cop in my previous GTR for not having mesh in front of the I/C!! It's because it came from the factory like that is why they say you need it. People you must remember. These imports are generally only complied for use in Aus because it is standard. Of course sometimes examples slip through the cracks. Just to piss off a few people here I also got done at the same time for having my number plate on the driver’s side, not the middle or the passenger side!!! I was however allowed to have pods as long as they are secure. Also my coilovers failed with one inspector and passed the next day with another inspector!!!! Go figure!!!!! The moral of the story is............. If you have a modified import expect that one day you will get done (unless of course you have permits). Also cops can pull you over, check your mods and even if you have permits you can still get sent to the pits and there is nothing you can do about it. Just remember to be polite to them. It does help..... Oh and a quick tip.. cops don't like ANYTHING shiny, anondised, chromed, braided, etc in the engine bays!!!!

Thanks Slide for the link However I have question, when these turbos eventually will need a rebuild, who in Australia will be able to do it?
