  1. how much are you looking to pay, I listed some prices up there somewhere, For xbox 360 1080dpi capable LCD would be beneficial to you and getting one with DVI connectors is a must.
  2. I hear its a good panel but if you focus too hard you can just see the anti-glare coating on the screen, looks like a slightly grainy fine thin layer on the surface of the picture. good panel tho. best panels in the world are made by panasonic. thats no lie. they do all the alpine head units among others too. I wonder if theres a way to hook up my touch screen alpine tv unit to a computer in the car or something.
  3. My mistake chops, AUO makes Benq and Viewsonic LCD monitors where as CMV uses their own company CMO, both companies in comparison make identically shit LCDs but their price is very hard to beat. the 22 inch has a very good contrast ratio on both parts and supports HD 1080dpi. I have tested this and it looks great. Blackr32 that is correct definitely, as reported some of manufacture had been put over to CMO for Viewsonic monitors. prime example. I think though, all in all, If you put the fact into the equation that nearly all of these monitors costs under 600 dollars, these are fantastic for their price. definitely worth it and I swear by the CMV 22D so far. Also I think that the BenQ 20" Widescreen 8ms LCD which I have tested does seem to have crisper quality but even though difference is negligable I would go with the larger viewing area, and the faster response time. Light leakage is the main problem on the 22inch CMV blackr32 not image quality, it isnt grainy at all, If you are viewing TV or some other form of external Video source on the monitor it could be the signal or data quality itself. I have tested several games (lately NFS:Carbon) and movies on the LCD and its performed well.
  4. BenQ 22" Wide FP222W LCD 5ms for $595 in Adel. CMV 22" Wide LCD 5ms MM DVI for $580 in Adel. CMV 22" Wide LCD 5ms MM Analog for $555 in Adel. BenQ 20" Widescreen 8ms LCD for $520 in Adel. CMV CT-938D 19" LCD Wide 5ms $315 in Adel. CMV CT-945A 19" LCD (NOT WS)8ms $315 in Adel Just throwing a few prices up in the air for you that I can get through suppliers. @chops "I have a chimei monitor at work, and a viewsonic at home. Every time I look at the viewsonic I can see where the extra cash went." Your beloved Viewsonic is actually the exact same panel as the CMV one... CMV make them for Viewsonic.
  5. i knew somehow this would end up in competition..... man choose ur own crash repairer lol. then come to us and tell us what they did to your car.
  6. You can build a fast and reliable computer for this Monitor to function in a car by purchasing a PC box that can be mounted in the boot or under a seat. Micro-atx motherboard, additional external sound card, with a 1gig or 2gigs of ram and a AMD 64 dual core system with a nice budget 3d card should do wonders to get video, audio and the processing speed for your data. You can get computer boxes totally purpose built for incar use and have a PSU already made for direct connection to your batt.
  7. if anyone wants 20-22 inch widescreen monitors... talk to me. under 600 dollars, great for alot of things including u fellas with xbox 360s needing something cheap and moderately big to play games using 1080dpi Hi Definition.
  8. what about the affects of different temp on boosting. I'm only mentioning this because I have heard that thick/thinner air accompanied by the factor of its temp can potentially damage or over power a car that is not set up correctly or doesnt have the appropriate management systems in place.
  9. thanks for the advice... so what do I do...? To save money do I buy interstate, or do I import. I heard alot of stuff has changed... (on the importing scene)
  10. um, off topic, why the hell are imports priced over-expensively (compared to other states) only in SA? can someone please give me a reason I'm trying to by my car and im so f**ken confused its not funny.
  11. hey yeh 2 grande to build just a system is plenty for the average gamer (not in retail) i never look at retail prices nowadays so maybe 2 gs isnt that much for a box (no mon), i spent 3 gs whole sale on my comp and its running a treat, but dont future proof urself when buying a computer... theres no such thing, young kids just tell it to their parents to try and buy better equipment.
  12. Countless mitsubishi Veradas, magnas, 380s, as well as hard to fix Eunos 500 (my car) was fixed at Roger Steen Crash Repairs. at Glynde. did a suberb job. i highly recomend them. They do a shitload of other cars too, so i suggest going to them and getting a quote. you get warrantee like most places on the repair and its RAA approved repairer which is also a nice little peace of mind.http://www.motorpoint.com.au/autobusinesse...airs-Glynde.asp them or st. peters crash repairs. these 2 places are govt car regulars. they know what they are doing and know how to price a repair.
  13. i suggest doing what i did first off... get an E6600 conroe, a 7800GTx, 1 gig of DDR2 800Mhz Kingston HyperX ram, and the motherboard, any ASUS one, will do. but DO NOT BUY ANYTHING NOW ITS JUST GETTING INTO HOLIDAY PERIOD U WILL BE RAPED. wait till after.
  14. upgrade the ram by adding another 2 sticks and then upgrade the 3d card. if u have AGP start considering the PCI-e systems with DDR2 ram. its the way of the future. for now.
  15. there is a nude male wrestling seen in which there is various sex position action which is highly disturbing. other than that borat is worth the money. he preys on americans total ignorance and stupidity and even made money off the people in skit. they are all real as they are skits. truly ingenious.
  16. any pictures of my mates car? it is a Candy dark blue WRX with the plates "NDIVJL"
  17. edit: Can also get good deals on some mobile phones outright.
  18. yeh its 2 something uncompressed, i got an OLD OLD OLD version of nissan FAST that my uncle used ages ago for an R31 back in the day, but it doesnt run on winxp lol. might have to tax that off u. whered u find a good torrent?
  19. no no no... more money for them... Tell you what everyone ill start my own insurance company... "Pauly's dodgy insurance". be just as good as all the rest.
  20. You're one of them... with the corporations, a conformist.
  21. Your one of them! hahaha
  22. If someone looking for an S15 pre-modded with this sort of money interstate or in SA has looked over this add more than once and hasnt considered... they got rocks in their head.
  23. saw a couple of cars gettin defected off kensington road, i didnt think they would be 'trollin that part of town but nevertheless, just a reminder for all of you, and soon myself, to keep it cool and low profile.
  24. i know helping out a fellow club member or interested buyer here on the forums for stock parts is a nice thing to do and a good idea, but make sure u got triples of them parts and teh money to pay for labour just in case u get defected and u need old shit in and new shit out and vice versa. 2 cars would be ideal but not all of us have xxxx amount of cash to buy 2 of the same car and keep 1 stock.... and thats just for bolt on mods.
  25. yeh, should be ok, i mean, 6 computers with monitors no problem, 7-8 pushing it, id think about getting a long extension cord from another section of the house to power any more than another 4. 12-16 people is the sweet spot in numbers anyway, less its boring after a while and more its to much trouble. get every1 to pay around 15-20 bux for power and food/drink for the day and BYO alco.
