  1. mind me coming along in a 380GT, ill think about it. lol havent got my 32 yet.
  2. Lan day at unmentioned date? if im not just blind.
  3. Yes Deluxe I was going to get to all that, Roy, what he said! lol. What did you think of last year's Deluxe, those Redheads and Road Car Ferraris make you say "Lucky Bastard..."?
  4. I've been involved for the past 3 years, know the stage marshalls very well. The starting day is one of the best days to come out at see the cars and watch them thrash the city streets, than theres a few other courses I have been told are good and have delivered. I will post up the stages here but they should be on www.classicadelaide.com.au anyway. EDIT http://www.classicadelaide.com.au/ca/spectatorguide.htm - GO HERE, what you are looking for no doubt. No matter what, come to the Prologue, and then the last 2 days for the Adelaide Hill's runs.
  5. Yeah true man, a lot of my mates still ask me how to spell freakin' words. Even at school.
  6. Remember what you wear to interviews and stuff is important also, and the way you present yourself. Get to an interview 15 minutes before hand they will see your a bit more eager than usual. First impressions always make a difference. Also, biggest problem some people have is either they are too tense or too relaxed when they meet an employer, simply don't assume that every business is totally strict and just act casually, without swearing, or using mindless jargon. Follow all that in an interview and you'll get the job, providing you meet the criteria. Good luck mate.
  7. what lan?
  8. yeh patch cable was all good, drivers all latest, (so far as i could tell the only ones for some harware at the time!) and settings matches etc. it was probably a driver issue or a hardware incompatability/ interference issue but its been sorted out since, an updated marvel-yukon gigabit driver was realsed for my chipset and it all worked fine after that. the latest and greatest hardware might not be the most compatible with other things true but its damn quick, efficient and the games and applications i run look mighty fine on my 22in WS monitor running at 1690x1050. yes computers do suck at times, i use them, fix them, monitor them, replace them, configure them, break them everyday in my job.
  9. I meant like 5-6 computers, all coming from either home or from their own businesses with their own Dynamic IP ranges set up and all that shit, they want to be able to keep those settings to plug straight back home and then keep doing their work or whatever. Thats when it gets time consuming. I have done a LAN transfer files/ playing games thing only once with my computer, the hardware superceeded all theirs and this was around a month ago, my computer had a ping of around 120 the whole time playing and it had nothing to do with the router, yet on my network at home its fine. No one can tell me a Core2Duo E6800, 2 gigs of DDR2800, with a 7950GX2 running on a totally fine gigabit ethernet controller on the motherboard could be so slow. someones settings was screwing me up and we couldnt work it out, so i just said screw it and let my machine go. Oh and on the ps3 note, Id say the technology is well developed, but dont get it wrong the product is unrealeased and the technology is untested. Therefore the technology is "new".
  10. Coffee machine with barrista chick?
  11. im guessing they use some sort of physical mapping system by using some sort of electric suit wired up to read every single line of her face and body, like they do in games but here more detailed, then they compute the geometry in far more detail to smooth it all out, then apply textures then render it then tahts it. that easy but all the much harder. EDIT: Thats on a G80? fark me that things going places, but without a core2duo extreme any system currently will be a bottleneck. I got a 7950GX2 and it looks like ill be selling it early.
  12. And I thought PS3 would be next gen hardware. Shows how much they say "Itll never get any better than this" it always does. PC will always be better than a PS or an XBOX no matter what they do to make the console as cheap but with more power. only thing is its easier to take ur ps3 or xbox360 to a mates house to play pro evolution soccer than it is to take ur whole pc whilst being extremely careful then spedning 5 hours setting up LAN connections and firewalls and shit and then playing games and transfering files across the network which u cant do at the same time.... Go the multitap.
  13. I'm buying an R32 Godzilla here in SA off a friend of my cousin's, has been garaged for last 3-4 years and body work is in good nic. buying it for around 20-22 grande, is that a steal and what should i be looking out for if i do choose the aquire it. It was imported in around 1992-3 from a wind tunnel in new zealand. He reckons it "was" the fastest Skyline in SA. It's been modified from its modification to be road legal now, or more road legal, more stock. Hes given me all his performance parts with the car. I also saw another R32 today, a red one which was a sunday driver for 18 grande, a GTS-t with 190kw at the wheels.
  14. Vange spotted on Portrush/Payneham Rd at 8:30am in the morning on my way to work. good looking car and I assume its Vange here on the forums.. im new. lol.
  15. JCI quote system on the net told me Id be paying 2,200 dollars a year full comprehensive insurance for a 32 Godzilla being bought for 20gs with minor mods. Ill make another quote now and see what the difference is if the car was stock. (Im 20). Shannons is another one, Ill ask an insider there to see what its like for people under 25, I have done alot of Classic Adelaide work and have got to know a few people from there over few years I've been volunteering.
  16. I'm newest here as of today, buying a 32 Godzilla in 2-3months. Have access to Leader Computers wholesalers list, also have a cousin at Bridgestone head office here in SA to deal a few people who require Tyres and ROH Rims. All i ask in return is advice on what to look out for because I've sourced a vehicle and could buy it theoretically 2moro if i knew it was good. EDIT: I work in IT in Pirie St. EDIT:GTR overpriced, bought a R33 S2 and modding it to a respectable level.
  17. Hey Im pretty new to these forums and the like, I am buying an R32 Godzilla soon and I need to know what is the best Insurance company that will cover me, as a 20yo with no previous accidents, a "impropper lighting" fine (Had parkers on instead of full lights one night :S) and Car is slightly modified but on the upper hand it will be always garaged and im in a safe neighbourhood. (I heard these factor contribute). Going to buy the car in 2 months or so from now so I'm trying to get my mind set around what its going to cost me per year to run this beast without just diving into it and perhaps making a descision that I will regret. I have been a Classic Adelaide Rally volunteer and stage marshall assistant for the past 3 years. Maybe shannons is best choice because of their involvement in local and international circles of motorsport? Any feedback would be great, thanks.
