  2. Why would you want to disable VCT? doesnt it improve low down torque?
  3. fark i just read its been measured that my SLI setup draws 340-390watts at full load on 3d mark 06.... and i am using a 550w power supply atm, my graphics are chewing up resources, shit. Maybe i can use sli in the meantime by powering off a HDD and the optical drives... 4 sticks of ram, a mother board and a 65w E6600 + 390w max f**k too much maths give me a beer.
  4. hey Tangles, good luck with the reconstruction surgery man... you deserve the luck at least this time round!. My mate had a reconstruction 2 years ago, and the doctor f**ked it up and noticed additional cruiciate ligament damage. He was going to be a great soccer player but the dream has ended. I hope the surgery goes well and after it you will be able to continue to do things and do other things that you would not have even dreamed of doing for longer than 5 minutes. .
  5. Well tangles, tell me this, would you be confortable powering quad sli 2 7950GX2 with that PSU? cause the 8800GTS draws the same power if not just a touch more on my card compared the the 7950GX2 and the recomended is 700w for my setup. I am bidding for an enermax galaxy 1000w on ebay, should be good enough...
  6. haha like, ppl saying paully, its f**ken pauly damnit.
  7. And I know all about that driver and that car I was there! haha.
  8. lol, nah i havent viewed this thread in a while.
  9. i got my afmturbs pipe for 60 dollars, otherwise if i didnt find one for that much till now i would have gone with the silicon bass junky ones.
  10. lol yeah.... cost of that? Hey im running the 8800GTS's in SLI on an Antec 550w Trupower 2.0 PSU... I think I need to upgrade my PSU as after maybe 40 mins or so of gaming I get a BSOD or on one occasion the power just went out. Here are my specs: Antec 900 gaming case 5 fans (1x 200mm exhaust fan, 1x 120mm exhaust fan, 3x 120mm fans) Thermaltake Blue Orb CPU fan (My water works is in the works) Core 2 Duo E6600 running at stock speed Asus P5NSLI motherboard 4GB of DDR2-800 @ 1.8v (The Elixr shit) Pioneer DVDRW combo drive LG DVD drive (generic) 2x 250gb 7500rpm Seagate SATA2 drives. --- 2x MSI 8800GTS OC in SLI --- Antec True Power 550w PSU (SLI Certified hehe for what). http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=23550 Now, I bought these 2 cards for cheaper than a Ultra and at the resolution I run games at on a WS this card is faster than a 8800 Ultra. But Ultimately, what PSU would I need. I noticed tangles I think it was is selling his PSU, would that be suitable?
  11. hehe and all that illegal immigration of hills inhabitants to the more metro suburbia with utes and their 15 foot tall CB radio antennas, john deer stickers on the rear windshield, anti-usama bin laden propoganda etc.
  12. Hey Luke, on the main page of the forums you got 31/9 thats next month lol. PM me the details, thanks.
  13. :Another 1,2 finish for the dynamic duo above.: I would be asking, What's your idea of "Storage"?. And if you put it into storage, how long before you could whip out the GTR?
  14. Vlad, ull be the first person I have ever heard of or alot of ppl ever heard of, going from an r34 to an r31!! congrats.
  15. I want a video of it redlining and with a decent camera. i want to hear the moment it snaps.
  16. this man does alot of waiting... and vlad, in ur little dream world lol.
  17. I bought 2 8800GTS (The MSI overclock ones), because the MSI ones are the best for one... and I didnt want to spend money on a card I wouldnt fully use (an Ultra). the msi ones are the best (the 8800gts ones) because msi overclocked something else other than just core and memory on their card.
  18. nice man, its good news that those silicon pipes work too.
  19. Well, you'll be keeping the car revving high anyway so just dont put anything bigger than a GT30 on it. and make sure you have at least 250kw
  20. See madaz, deluxe/dan/insert pauly hater here, cant help themselves... no deluxe you git. of course I wouldnt do that, only the best for my car wherever I can help it. Even if I did do it, I would have kept it a secret... this bloke meh... thinks hes starting some sort of revolution.
  21. What about this fishpaste, There are different ways to SLI not just connecting 2 Nvidia GPU's together. Alot of the power depends on the SLI interface and the Nvidia SLI bridge. someone with a 5xxSLI chipset isnt going to be pushing it compared to someone with an 6xxSLI Chipset. You will never see double performance with SLI unless operating at high res, there is justification for SLI and that is 1, saying you have an SLI system and 2, running the cards in tandem at the optimal resolution to experience the maximum gain. ie, 2500x1600 res's. At least with SLI you always have a fallback... 1 card if one fails and you have to wait to get a replacement.
  22. hi, im suprised dan or deluxe havent given me shit on this thread yet... maybe i speak to soon.
  23. Well the way I see it, unless you have a 30 inch panel and intend to use 2000x1000 or whatever farken res, theres no need to SLI two dx10 cards. I have 2 MSI 8800GTS-OC's now and I intend to use them for high resing.
  24. can someone confirm they are actually industrial welds? It looks like he has just used a butane soldering iron and stuck some solder on the edges of the fins.
