  1. I put my tweeters on the sail panels (the triangles where the mirrors are.) This was really easy because the crossover can sit in the door and you only need I set of wires going into the door. I have seen them mounted in the kick panels, (next to your feet) which is technically a better sounding place to put them. But hey, if you wanted a sound quality winning car you wouldn't have bought a Skyline would you. There are some pics of the kick panel method in High Performance Imports #29. Heres a pic of mine.
  2. Yep, I agree with hippy, forget the 6x9's, swap them or sell them and get a sub. It'll be heaps less work, and sound way better. If your amp wont fit next to the battery, screw a piece of MDF to the cover that goes across it. Then mount you r amp on it. Looks pretty neat and is easy to get to. Also allows plenty of ventilation for cooling, (even though you should really mount them horizontally). A pre fab sub box is not as flash as a full install, but does the job, and can be taken out to make more space.

  12. Why do you need 4 doors?
  13. Yeah, I used to live in Townsville. Now in Brissy. I have driven the line up and back once. Not a pleasant drive. Yeah the strand is like 1/100th as good as BWCP. WRXcels everywhere, with badboy/badbitch or No Fear stickers on them. I only saw a coupla lines when I went up.
  14. Pull out the screws in the door handle and the window switches all pop out. There is also a row of screws along the bottom, take those out too. Then the whole thing will pull off easily. no too hard at all. You may need spacers for your speakers if they are deeper than the ones in there. Wait till you get the doors off then check the depth. JB hi fi sell wooden spacers for about 10 bucks. I used these and they worked perfectly. Hope this helps
  15. I might have one. Whats the offer?
  16. Well what a bitch, BWCP blocked off by the Fuzz. What a waste of a couple hours and 20 bucks in fuel. But I spose that's their aim. All it ended up doing is causin people to cruise around all night, instead of just sitting and chillin!
  17. Yep, leaving the city bout 10 to 8. Then will quickly swing by Springwood Maccas/Crazy Clarks to see who's there, then on to BP Yatla. See you there, come and say hi.
  18. Or what about the Mt Gravatt thing? is that still happening?

  22. I just saw one yesterday cruising up Gympie RD. Blue in colour. Numberplate GTR1 or GTRN1 I can't remember. Has any one else seen this? Does it belong to some one locally? Is the owner a visitor to this board? It was PHAT!
  23. Had my O2 changed for another one (not a new one) last week. Went from about 250kms to 350 or so from a tank, so thats an improvment to me.
