  1. Thanks Pete, gtcs look awesome on gtrs and urs proves how much better it looks with it lowered. I was thinking about of bc racing suspension too. I first fell in love with the gtcs when I saw bakes black r34 with some gold 19" gtcs. Looked amazing ever since then I developed a fondness of that rim. I've seen 19s on r33 and they really look like pure sex. Ahhh if only they didn't require selling a few organs to get your hands on them, still I'm more than happy with the 18s and semi deep dish look! Cheers.
  2. Very nice Pete! What coil overs did you get? I'm hanging out to get some myself, mine sits way too high at the moment. I'm thinking of going tein super street. Here is a few pics of mine. Still have a few little things to do to get it the way I want it. Cheers.
  3. Put up a post in the Wanted to buy section. Thats how i got mine. In addition, look through the classified car parts section. You'll find one sooner or later.
  4. Yeah I Just ordered one for myself and one for the missus. Needed a new hoodie for winter and these do look pretty good.
  5. Nice shots mate, I like the graf one with the R33, would look even better without so many reflections in the car though. imho. Thanks, Yeah I agree on the one with the graff, will attach the PCL next time to cut the reflections see how it comes out. Cheers
  6. Thought I better start adding to these monthly photo threads! So many awesome photos on here, very nice work. I really need to get some practice!
  7. Nah mate not yet . I just found the stock exhaust and it was the last part i needed to get. So now i'll work on putting back what I can myself and then save up a bit to pay someone to do the rest. Hopefully sorted by the end of this month. Its killing me not being able to drive it. Did you get your beast fixed up from the GOR cruise?
  8. Yeah it was real nice of him. I guess he had nothing better to do. I would have blocked off a lane on Burwood Hwy, but I pulled over on High street road into a bus turn off for that very reason. Definitely won't be driving around that area at night again. Been a nightmare having to get / pay for all the stock components for the EPA.
  9. ^^^ Thats right, I got pulled over driving like a grandma doing 75 in an 80 zone along Burwood Hwy. Cop gave my the car a very thorough inspection asking why are the wastegates silver instead of the stock bronze colour and asking about the engine management if it was a Apexi PFC or Motec etc. My car and engine bay look very standard and in the end he got me for a boost controller. He also went through the inside of my car looking for the ECU and EBC. This particular cop knew more than enough to pick anything unusual (illegal mods) and by the way listing parts and giving me advice on my mods he was definitely very knowledgeable on the car front. My advice would be to make it look as stock as possible and hide anything illegal as well as you possibly can and avoid driving around these areas (knox, dandenong etc) on Friday / Saturday nights, good luck.
  10. possibly mate, how much are you asking? Cheers
  11. What happened to your car Grant?
  12. Yeap black is definately a winner, especially the pearl black on the r34 gtrs like bakes car, looks awesome. Also love midnight purple, bayside blue and gunmetal grey.
  13. Hey mate the previous owner of my gtr got his car detailed and headlights done crystal clean at Dr Detail. Not sure of the contact details as I'm from Melbourne. But he lived in western Sydney. However my headlights are now starting to get slightly cloudy again afte only 4-5 months. I hear people find that with sand paper and polish method they do clear up but will tend to go cloudy/yellow soon after. There is a product called glasselite or glassylite not sure on the spelling but people have had good results with this and find that their headlights will stay clear for much longer. I'm thinking of giving it a try myself. I think you can get it on eBay. Anyway hoped this helped a bit.
  14. Yeah the GTR's are definitely a special car. I was looking for a R34 GT-T and test drove a few, by chance ended up driving a R33 GTR as the private importer brought the wrong car for me to look at. However I'm glad he did. It felt so different to the GTS-T and GT-Ts, the handling, the power delivery, wide stance etc etc. From then on I only looked at buying a GTR, I knew if I bought a GT-T I would always be wishing it was a GTR. Now having a GTR there is absolutely no regrets. It is an amazing car. I have a friend who has a Mercedes SL55 AMG and he thinks the GTR is a whole lot better to drive, and slightly faster (modded). I love taking it for drives on twisty mountain roads on the weekends, it really comes to life! However now I have to clear a damn EPA defect I haven't been able to drive it for the last 3-4 weeks and I find myself having BIG GTR withdrawals.
  15. Now i have a fuel pressure regulator and airbox just after the stock exhaust. Thanks.
  16. Found an airbox, but i'm still after a stock R33 GTR exhaust and fuel pressure regulator. Anyone? Thanks.
  17. As the title states I'm after a stock r33 gtr exhaust, airbox and fuel pressure regulator to help clear EPA defect. I'm in Melbourne happy to pick up or pay for delivery if interstate or well outside Melbourne. Thanks.
  18. Any advice? Just like a bit more of an idea to what stock parts I'll need to start collecting/replacing. Cheers.
  19. Ahhh.... so jealous I missed this, so many nice cars!
  20. I have to get an EPA noise and emissions test done fairly soon and was wondering If I could get some advice? I have a R33 gtr vspec series 3, current mods are, -5 turbos, power fc, greedy elec boost controller, nismo fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and injectors, cam gears, exhaust, and pods I was planning to remove the boost controller, return the injectors and ecu to stock. I believe that the turbos shouldnt be a problem as they are nearly the same as stock. Do I need to return the fuel pump and pressure regulator to stock, I know Im meant to but will they effect emissions if the stock ecu is controlling them and would the inspectors be able to tell between the stock and nismo items. I will quieten the exhaust and leave it that way. Also if I refit the stock ecu will I need to get the car retuned? And is there a difference between an ecu for a gtr and gtr vspec. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
  21. Hey Dan! Car has been great, been treating me well, except for the cops. Got pulled over doing 75 in a 80 zone. Cop tells me how much he likes the car and that it looks in awesome condition really clean etc. etc. Then after all that praise he tells me to pop my bonnet and starts to find stuff to pin me for! Asking me "So what you got running this thing Power FC?" "How come your wastegate actuators are silver colour not bronze like the stock", "Looks like the guy that did you RWC missed one vital thing, your Profec 2!" All the while i'm trying to act dumb. In the end he gets me for a boost controller and sends me an invite to join the EPA noise and emissions party. D'oh. Welcome to the world of Skyline ownership I guess. At least he was nice enough not to fine me for having a defective car (boost controller). Hows your EVO going? Had the time to do anything to it yet? Here is a shot of the ol' beast with my new DSLR.
  22. Great! Thanks for the info! I was never going to change stock gtr r33 turbos for stock r34 gtr turbos. Just if I had to I'd replace my Garretts with my friends r34 gtr turbos he had lying around, yes as u said it would be a very silly idea!
  23. I'm curious to know if the EPA inspectors will pick up different low mount turbos on a gtr. Say garrett -7s or -5s or similar hks. I know your not suppose to have them but it's kinda hard to tell. If they are able to pick them, would they be likely to give u a hard time if u changed them back to stock but used r34 gtr turbos on a r33 gtr? I can get r34 turbos off mate if I'm likely to have to change the turbos over. Thanks.
  24. Yeah your right Shan, i was getting a bit carried away with my thoughts on HDR sunset & landscapes and forgot the actual problem the OP was having! Although I think you can adjust the filter so you have have it vertically or in-between horizontal and vertical, depending on which side of the building the sun is coming from. But i've never tried it this way so i can't really comment on how well it might work.
