Hey guys, Im currently looking for a R32 GTR gearbox. Is there a way you can tell if a gearbox is stuffed if it isnt in a car thats driveable? Any signs you should look for when buying a gearbox? Also does anyone know where to get a good gearbox from? Regards, David

Thanks for the advice guys.. N1 GTR - I've searched most of that thread and it more relates to street/circuit tyres Bear Baron - I've looked at the M T range but the 18" are way too wide (305 or 355). I'll have a look at the BF Goodrich today. It would've been alot easier if i could fit 17"

Hey guys I am looking for some semi/street slicks for my GTR. I have done some looking around today but there isn’t much of a range. They have to be 18inch because I can’t fit a smaller size wheel due to the front brakes (355mm rotors). When I took my car to WSID a few weeks ago I was spinning first gear and into second. I had Falken Azenis 235 / 45 / 17 on the back and my normal street tyres on the front (235 / 35 / 18). This is the main reason for getting the front semi slicks. I hopefully want to run at least a 40 series rubber so I can let a little air out of them and continue running the Azenis on the back with 15psi in them. These tyres will only be used at WSID (including the drive there and back). Any information and advice would be greatly appreciated Cheers

Hey guys I have a power fc d jetro in my r32 gtr, but i dont think it is "hooked up" properly. The car runs fine and makes awsome power but i noticed the two black little sensors(boxes) are mounted on my fire wall, unlike others I've seen where they are mounted on the head. Does this seem right or doesn't it matter? If anyone has a pdf copy of the manual could you please send it. Thanks for your help Dave

Thanks for the input fellas. Im still judging up on whether to go for this box or another standard one. Does anyone know the difference between the Hollinger input shaft and the standard one? What parts are needed from Nissan as i can get trade price there? Lastly, What shop would you recommend in the Sydney area to put the gearset in? Thanks again Dave

Hey everyone I've been looking into getting a OS Giken gearset for my 32 GTR due to me stripping 4th gear because of stuffed syncros. Afew questions for anyone that has had personal experience/knows about them. What is the difference between the Hollinger type input shaft and the standard one? Which should I go for? Benefits? How strong are these gearsets? Can you change gears quick with them? Or do you have to baby the shifts? I've also read that you need some other parts. What parts are they? Thanks for your help David

The motor just cranked/turning over, but didnt fire up/turn on.. Anyways.. I got it all fixed today.. Took it to a auto elec and he said that the fuel pump wasn't getting enough power from the battery or something (I have a bigger fuel pump). Easy fix but i wasn't happy with the bill

Hey fellas, Last week I took my car (32 GTR) for a cruise. When I returned home, I turned it off at the bottom of my driveway so it doesnt wake everyone up while i open the garage. I started it and drove half way into my garage and turned it off as i was going to push it in so i wouldnt wake my neighbours up. after failing to push it in, i tried starting it again however it wouldnt start for some unknown reason. Anywho i ended up pushing it in. The next morning i tried starting it but it still wouldnt start. I realised that my fuel pump wasnt priming for the amount of time it usually primed for. So i thought it was the battery. I went and put a brand new battery with a higher cranking power in but it still doesnt want to fire up. All the lights work, the fuel pump now primes for the right time, i have checked the plugs and made sure the coils were plugged in and the clip on the back of the coil cover, but it still just doesnt want to fire up. Has anyone came across this problem with theyre car or might know what is causing it? And i have searched but found no other hints as to what it might be. Thanks for your help

As far as i know the engine is internally stock. The sound deadening material on the bonnet is just abit wet. Its more noticeable because its faded in some places and the water has made it darker in some spots.
