  1. ive had the issue before. i unplugged the turbo timer on that occasion and the everything worked. on this occasion i left the ignition on for approx 30seconds jumped in the car to start looking at things, turned on an interior light and suddenly everything light up and the pump primed. strange..... anywho you can delete......
  2. you get the "nismo" ??
  3. cheers for informative replys. i did the major things like bolting on the turbo, manifold, plenum. i had the lines for the turbo correctly fitting wastegate lines done. heaps of little things. plus things that have nothing to do with the motor. my airflow meter is quite close to the turbo so thats a good possibility. cmoney: would apreciate it if you could post up your findings. cheers guys.
  4. no BOV. pointless using larger AFM or injectors at this stage. with the stock ecu. please no more remarks about stock ecu. only sorting out little things before its remapped. cheers.
  5. hey guys. ive got a fair few mods on my car but im still using the stock ecu until i book it in for a remap. ive only just gotten the car back from having little bits and pieces done and the idle was ok but every now and then you pull up to lights the idle will drop to 1000rpm for a couple of seconds then drop and stall. i pulled the acc valve off and gave it a good clean. i havent touched the electronic idle on the ecu only the idle screw on the acc valve. it now idles and doesnt stall once it warms up but it hunts up and down 1000rpm - 2000rpm...1000rpm - 2000rpm etc etc, go for a drive and it still does it. is it basically because of the standard ecu or ive been slack and havent set the idle correctly ? Mods: RB20DET Manual conversion using manual ecu Garrett GT3040R Front facing plenum front mount exhaust etc etc. standard airflow meter, injectors, throttle body. i realise it wont run very well at all with stock ecu but i just wont to get little things like this sorted out before it gets its remap. real help will be much appreciated. cheers guys. Mick.
  6. brought an emanage blue off flea.

super fast delivery and awesome communication

    100%recommend!!

  7. brought a Koyo 53mm radiator off TAARK. 100% trustworthy. a long time NS.com member who ive purchased off before.

  8. GT3040 hehe..... for good cheap useable power the RB25 turbo or VG30 turbos are hard to go past.
  9. going with the KKR and custom or just off the shelf lines will still work out heaps cheaper than an HKS turbo kit. alot of people dont like them because failures have been well documented. ive never used one so i cant speak from experience. a ball bearing garret unit isnt much more expensive. a mate had the 430 on his RB20 cefiro with a microtech ecu. it was tuned very rich and made 210rwkw on 20psi. far from massive power but 220 is definetly achieveable. theres also no reason why you cant have an external gate. alot of guys in nz use external gates on the original manifold. the 430 is more than big enough to utilise an external. our 180 has a TD05 16g, a fairly small turbo with a monster trust external gate..... plus external gates sound very cool. goodluck.
  10. ahh i see. so practically what unigroup do ?? thanks mate.
  11. i dont no much about remapping!! what is nistune ?? a specific remap ??
  12. hey guys. my car is almost ready to hit the road again.... but first it needs a new ECU. with the mass amount of options i thought it would be easy. until i remembered....... its an RB20 the car is an RB20DET Cefiro RB20DET Garret GT3040R Custom Plenum Full exhaust Front mount Walbro pump ive just purchased an Emanage blue but im really unsure if i should use this or go something else. im considering a remap by Unigroup, a microtech or maybe an emanage ultimate the blue was only $350 including harness (not car specific ) so im not to worryed about not using this. please give me your opinions. also please no Power FC propaganda. i no RB26 FC's can be rewired but i dont want to be going into something blind. i only want to spend my money once, for the time being anyway. and want to get the most out of the car. cheers guys and gurls Mick.
  13. can i buy the rails ?? bottom mount ?? am in sydney.
  14. this is just my opinon.... if your not 100% on buying a cefiro, dont buy one. they certainly are an acquired taste, so you either love them or hate them. i personally love them hence why ive suck so much money into mine. and if you love them and genuinely have the opportunity to buy one, buy it. if your unsure, buy something else. full consumption will vary massively depending on mods and tune, stock cefiros hardly raise an eyebrow for the police. but a simple front bar and wheels and its an entirely different story. RB20, gearboxs etc are the same as R32. suspension is the same as S13. common probs. wiring issues with the windows requires them to be hard wired on most occasions. rust, rear wheels arches, below front and rear windscreen. idiots putting jacks under the chassis rails and crushing them. the list goes on, theres not a set list of common probs, as ive had plenty. do your resurce before you buy as not alot of people no the in's and out's of ceffys. GOODLUCK!!!
  15. il take that cage off your hands. PM sent.
  16. drifteks or rotagrids are good for the money. you can find crazy wheels for 4 stud, you just have to look and be looking in the right places at the right time.... ive got a pair of SSR professors 18x10+11 in 4 stud. $1000 just for the pair 3rd hand at least with no tyres but sh*t i love them!!
  17. you might have found a solution already but hes selling the doors for $150 each plus postage. its cheaper than buying new.
  18. the monster imports auction site have heaps of these. including postage was $175 for a second hand one from japan. just FYI.
