  1. hey trent just a general question. ive got an RB20 with GT3040 and front facing plenum with an XF throttle can i get away with an emanage blue or is it pushing it to far ?
  2. some people prefer mockery mate, dont take it to heart. as said above a dyno run would clearly outline the problems your running into. the factory computer simply cant keep up with injectors much larger than factory, larger injecters doesnt mean you will recieve more fuel if the ecu isnt tuned for it. 1. get the car on a dyno. 2. once your satisifed, upgrade to a better piggyback if not a replacement ecu. oh yeah and one of the first posts read "diff injectors + piggybacks + stock ecu = timebomb" not all piggybacks are bad mate. the greddy emange, even the blue is awesome for the price. 1/3 the price of the powerfc which is way out of alot of peoples reach.

  4. in my opinion i couldnt care less if a dodgy old non turb r33 beat me, cause i know id be having a hell of a lot more fun. isnt that what modifying your car is all about. that last comment always annoys me my 2c.
  5. boo to the RB20 haters. with the right cams you can dial in more than respectable response for the loyal old beast. remember people that youre comparing other motors to the RB20, which is kinda dumb considering there in a completely different league. i say go for it mate. then if you dont like it change the turbo.
  6. pffff dont listen to the RB20 haters. im putting a GT3040 on my RB20, will be slightly less laggy. if you want response obviously its far to big, but with a full build it will be alot of fun. two words. do it...... there was a r32 in a recent zoom issue with a built rb20/gt3540 specs below, that motor has since expired but meh..... To cut the list short - Forged internals Standard cams Tomei cam gears (in anticipation for cams.....) GT3540 turbo (high mount) Turbosmart 38mm ext. wastegate (with screamer, love that sound!!) 110mm thick front mount 3 inch dump into 4 inch exhaust Nismo 555cc injectors Bosch 500hp fuel pump Link ECU (upgrading to Microtech LT-12 this week) Turbosmart E-Boost2 Alloy triple-flow radiator Car made 293rwkw/393rwhp @ 21psi (more to come). Would post up the dyno sheet but I don't have a scanner!   10. hey guys. ive been slowly piecing together my RB cefiro with a garrett GT3040, and pretty much only have the fiddly fits to sort out. except for the oil and water lines...... has anyone used or are using the GT conversion kits you can buy from gcg ? any info or feedback is appreciated.
  11. umm practically all jap bolt in cages are bolted to the inner wheel well. its not a difficult task mate, the cage is made for an r32 so its only going to fit in a specific way. best thing to remember is if it doesnt look right it probably isnt. test fit 500 times. drill once. gl.
  12. hey guys. thanks to some cockface i have a shifter thats to small and a clutch pedal that is massively dodgy (manual conversion) so im after just stock parts. R32 5spd manual shifter R32 clutch pedal cheers guys.

  14. the import rules in nz are changing as of january this year. its almost turning into another state of aus.....
  15. legend01 makes 301kw atw from memory using a GT3040 and stock cross over pipe then again it is a rb21. im using a custom top half (not a cut and shut) with stock runners. 1st off though buy a garrett or trust turbo, rather than spending the money on a fancy plenum.

  19. not sure how different cefiros are but 18x10+11 stick an inch out of unpumped guards. why dont you want to work the guards ?? its cheap and easy!! man up and do it.
