  1. cant say for sure as I upgraded to z32's but I seriously doubt with the trust kit you will have room for the arc box as well Motor is out of my car at the moment so cant say for sure I would be pretty sure there isnt room though hope I am not too late to save ya spending money
  2. Cant say fer sure bout the others but HiTech Tuning Definitley have datalogit and experience tuning powerfc Pretty sure you will find most do even in Darwin!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. older but just as funny
  4. Priced factory cooler today now $420.10 according to my local Nissan got a look at an rb20 today reckon the filter block looks like it would bolt up unfortunately the owner of said rb20 wouldnt let me unbolt it to try it out?????
  5. Cant answer your query regarding the 50mm rad though I am pretty sure they will fit okay Nissan clutch fan and correct shroud was so so much better than thermofan on my 32 that plus an oil cooler and I really didnt have to worry bout temps on track even in Darwin temps
  6. Nismo thermostat worthwhile or not whats the general consensus rebuilding my rb26 at the moment an wondering if its worth the extra dollars 2530's poncams etc etc was making 429 hp before it spun a bearing so big baffelled sump etc going in now found with stock rad an nissan clutchfan etc it kept temps under control well before even on trackdays etc in Darwin heat!
  7. My sard injectors in a stock rb26 rail were so hard to remove I thought I would bust em sards are sposed to be a bit harder tighter fit I think something may be a bit off there though maybe wrong o-rings???
  8. Think there is some demand for parts then
  9. Have an early rx7 series 2 actually drinks fuel not overly reliable though mine is rough getting hard to find bits for too as a first car I honestly wouldnt be advising it unless you are really keen on just my 2c it is kinda fun though as for the vtech thing FWD for the loose
  10. smart kid
  11. Duncan & BBaron if I ever doubt ya point me back to this thread pulled the factory oil cooler thingo apart an well pictures say a thousand words they reckon see now how impossible it would be to clean as well oh well back to Nissan to hand over more hard earned reckon I will pull all the sensors an stuff off an hot tank the base too whats another coupla gaskets etc
  12. Thanks for the input there guys, much appreciated!! You seem to have some extremely cool tuning tools, EGT sensors are tapped to the runners? would love to see some pics (big ask I know) very interesting to here thoughts on response not being adversly effected, Am trying out the gizzmo thermal gaskets too u guys are using them to yeah Trent? Was planning on giving em a coat of hylomar to help sealing, would this be recomended? Figure that plus ceramic coating of plenum gotta be worthwhile?
  13. Ya maybe but I cant help thinking it may be worth a try despite it bein kinda awkward to change out once in the car think maybe the slightly expanded plenum size is worth it I guess other than back to back testing it really would be hard to say?
  14. yeah I was more thinking the rear two cylinders running leaner et all but as stated this probly would make that worse?? despite even flow on a flowbench etc Ya can definitly make good power with the stocker wont argue that !!!! I am starting to think it may be wasted cash????
  15. Appreciate that and yeah makes sence since the rear two tend to run lean thinking the step from 3.5 inch to 4 may help with this added turbulence et all may be better sticking to the stocker but would wanna send it to ceramic coat, meaning more waiting? logging individual pots would be nice other than heat gun on the dyno probly not easy though and have ceramic coated the exhaust manifold to so may not show much?? ?????????????
  16. Dont think clearance will be an issue, touch wood! "Need this" na not really I spose but figured with the ceramic coating and potential for extra flow it wouldnt hurt ???????? And as stated dont believe I can flow test it without sending it down south figure I could try it then possibly replace quicker than that!
  17. okay cant work out how to edit my original post but I am sure you can a see I am talking bout the plenum nobody got any imput?
  18. Cheers for the replys guys I assumed that would be the case Had considered using an rb20 filter block thingo without the factory oil cooler as I will of course be running the external one has anyone tried this on an rb26???
  19. 99.9% sure no wont clear the brembo's Hence the lovely 17's on the r32 vspec
  20. should the oil cooler be replaced after an engine failure, mine was just a bottom end knock have not stripped it down yet, suspect spun bearing Shouldnt the filter stop any material entering the cooler?
  21. Brought this a looooong while back an finally am getting my "built" Motor in an wondering now if I wanna risk using it or not Looking to get opinions According to the guy I brought it off it had been flow tested an addressed nicely the flow problems inherent with the stock manifold was claimed to be off a big big horsepower rb26 Has been ceramic coated and has had a 1/8th bsp hole added ,I assume for a maf sensor or something Will just block that off with a plug as am planning on using AFM's assuming a standard brass plug orta hold okay connection to cooler has been opened up to 4 inch so will need a 3.5 to 4 inch silicon reducer there Am thinking I will try it out an see but wondering if anyone has any opinions or even better recognizes it?? Sadly I didnt get results of flow testing when purchased an as far as I know no one in Darwin has a flowbench capable of testing it
  22. Have some minus strut tops would that suit
  23. best thing I ever did to my 32GTR cooling wise was go back the stock setup much more consistent for track days an just general driving around but mostly trackdays that said the thermofan setup put on by a previous owner was shithouse would be very interested to hear if you get this what sorta quality it is an if you have good results?
  24. ANyone tried this stuff http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=265&page=4 to summarize ""Tomei throttle coat Lubrication & Sealing of the Throttle Butterfly Tomei Throttle Coat will aid with the performance in smooth opening and closing of the butterfly which will increase throttle response. The lubrication properties will also aid by preventing the throttle from sticking and to eliminate rough idling and/or engine stalling. Improved sealing properties and efficient engine operations. "" have been wondering about this to as reassembling motor soon!
