The earls ones are a good core the mob I brought mine offa got one of them first but two problems No relocator in the kit and lines would need to be modified if you added one in as it only comes with two long lines Depending on where you mounted it they may be too long if you were mounting between radiator and intercooler Just jap one looks quite good though and could always replace that core with a earls one if you really wanted quality externally looked same same though
-
Can anyone confirm if the just jap ones can be fitted with oil pressure senders. Should the sender be fitted to the sandwhich plate on the block or to the relocator on the inner guard??? EDIT: Yep looks like they do on the filter relocator would of thought the block end would have been better but this will do I think!!

cheers guys thats what I thought plugs are fairly new anyway so probly wont bother changing em if they still look ok.

Just got my splitfire coils (thanx slide) reading the instructions they recommend retune and colder plugs is this really required car has powerfc exhaust etc nothing major. Was planning to install the coils tonight and hopefully see my tuner tommorrow to clean up an issue with a little knock right as she comes on boost when I am using the high boost setting on the dualSBC I have fitted, was hoping the coils might reduce or eliminate the problem anyway, dont wanna pay someone to install the coils and tuner may not be able to fit it in if I get him to fit em and plugs and full tune Are the splitfire mob just being overly careful with there instructions or is a full tune really required???

So did I wasted a whole day I could have spent getting other shit sorted before sunday (track day) damn I was pissed off

Well dropped my car off this morning with notes on what settings I was after and parts I was thinking would be needed etc. with one aditional direction, if there are any drama's ring me once its finished ring me. come bout 4.30 havnt herd a thing cant get anyone to answer the phone so start the 20 minute drive to pick up the car to find ....... the guy has done nothing hasnt touched a damn thing.!!!!! "mate the upper bushes at the front are stuffed and so are the tie rod ends at the back (hicas rack ends) no point me trying to adjust the allignment on that till you get that stuff fixed" I was completely lost for words the f**kn thing was there to get bushes and whatever was required to get the settings I wanted. no I dont care about tyre wear yes I know its a fairly racy setup ring me if there is any drama's. Could I have made it much clearer?????? Bloody Darwin service is f**kn non existant it really f*kn is!!!! Most usefull thing he managed to find was that the coilovers seem to already be at ther highest position with ride height bout 335 centre of wheel to guard all round and couldnt be adjusted much more safely. Is that group buy still a goer looks like I will be needing coilovers as well as all the other goodies to install myself as well as new HICAS rack ends are the subframe bushes in the group buy the ones just above the diff centre as noticed one of these has spewed silicon all over the show as well so time to replace them too methinks. Anyone know if these tierod ends can be brought from anywhere other than nissan genuine pedders maybe also is it possible to use R33 front ones as I heard you can and they are much stronger???

Did anyone manage to confirm that price need some for the 32GTR
-
Thanks for that SK yeah I was measureing centre of wheel to wheel arch on the guard hadnt actually tried at the sills though see what you mean. When I measured mine it was even at all 4 wheel centre's to guard openings so will try to correct that when I get the bushes installed. Might still have to chase you up for some adjustable swaybars though if the Group buy is still happening, will see how she handles round HiddenValley on the weekend. Thanks for the help

Always check the coil resistance once shes hot to mine looks good if the cars cold once I go for a drive the coil tests like its shot
-
Thanks guys figured as much hopefully durometer wont be too different, Am I correct in assuming that having the nose of the car up 10mm is the go even at lower than stock heights to adjust roll centre and make the car more oversteer than understeer yes or do I have that wrong

Went to the only suspension shop worth going to in town last week for a little chat regarding the 32GTR and trying to get a decent wheel allignment camber adjustment on the rear and height of coil overs front to rear etc. etc. etc. The guy is a grumpy c**t, but from all I have spoken to he is the MAN in town to speak to with all else a distant third. Mentioned using whieline parts as per Sydneykids excellent group buy and recommended settings, He however stocks super pro bushings and claims they make whiteline gear anyway and unless I really want yellow bushings there is little other difference. When I suggested me supplying parts and him fitting alligning he said it wasnt worth it for him, and was sick off people trying to get stuff brought of the net installed and he made no money this way etc etc blah blah blah Having worked in the trade I can sympathise to a degree and see his point etc. Also helps when the prices he quoted were actually very good. His attitude did PISS ME OFF though. My question to all is are super pro bushings comparable to whiteline looking on there website it looks like resonable gear & my 32GTR is lowish 335 from memory centre off wheel to wheel arch at all four. Should I run the front at 145 rear at 135, higher. Do like the look sitting that low but want resonable handling for track days etc. Car is fitted with what I was led to believe were Bilstein coil overs so is height adjustable. Sorry for the long rant just thought a little explanation would stop everyone posting buy Sydney Kids group buy type posts

Can Anyone Get R32 Gtr Clear Indicators
noone replied to jippa3000's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
If you can get em I recken you will sell a truckload Ill take a set fer sure and I am sure heaps of others on here would be keen too. -
The alchemist u r a champ thats exactly what I have been waiting to see 2860-5 all the way then cant imagine gaskets and studs making up the difference in price between hks and garrett Mate seeing that graph made my day Im going to have a beer Ill have one for you too cheers
-
They are still low impedance injectors so I would think ya still need it
-
Okay has anyone used one of these, are they straight dropin like the nismo ones or is it lots a stuffing around like a Bosch 44 Any other issue's or r they reasonable? Rated at 280l/hour Only running a mildly modded gtr but more to come and can get a Sard here in oz without having to order from japan

Was looking at my graph and am sure it to is i 3rd but in kph rather than rpm I am running 18's but overall diameter is very close to stock from memory Have searched but cant seem to find what 3rd gear ratio actually is to convert to RPM can anyone help. Damn this is an old thread just realised

Live in the Territory and regularly do a 400km return trip to work in my32GTR sometimes 600 if I have to go to the next main town If your cars in good nick should have no drama's, Other than fuel and radar gun/revenue raisers. Usually use about a tank full of petrol but have on one occasion playing with a supercharged CLK Merc on the highway, before they introduced speed limits, used over half a tank for the first 100km's playing!! Was fun and he couldn't believe he couldn't keep up. Drive like its a loaded to the roof car and u should be fine and not cost the earth in fuel:)

It is a shame as people cant leave DYNO sheets up or whateva, stickys is still a good resource though. R31Nismoid I believe u r going to go GTSS ,from what I have read. Do you mind commenting on roughly what boost u plan to run, do you think HKS need a little more to be in their sweet spot than Garrett's or is there too many other variables to make such a sweeping statement. Keep coming back to the fact GTSS appear to be so responsive down low and since I wont be using monster revs, at least initially, maybe that is better for me, being able to push harder further down the track would be nice though too thinking 2860 -5 vs -7 2530 vs gtss really I guess. DAMN hard to decide
-
Okay I to am hoping not to get to heavily flamed, and have looked at the stickys etc. Am considering a set of either gt-ss or 2860 garrets and have noticed and read on here that HKS turbos need higher boost levels to be in their peak efficency than the garrett equivalents with garretts happier at 18ish psi HKS not till more like 20-24psi results stickyed seem to confirm this but alot of the links to dyno sheets seem to be not working, maybe due to the hosting issues SAU is having, i dunno. Can anyone confirm or deny this, I am sure others have posted similar findings just wanted to see if others agree and this thread seemed like a good place to pose the question. I have an unopened 100,000 k motor well maintained good nick etc. and am more comfortable running 18psi rather than 20-24psi I had gt-ss at the top of my list as I am looking totally for response but garrets seem to offer the posibility for more further down the track maybe after I have rebuilt the bottom end new head gasket oil control mods etc without having to run high boost to get resonable numbers in the meantime. any comments?

Quick question for those running no AFM's did u leave piping sizes stock to your filters or go up in size or what?
