This digital pulse adjuster, the jaycar one is it a smaller lighter thing than the hicas computer? would be easier to use an existing product than build from scratch. That said by pulling only the smaller plug I lost the HICAS error light still seem to have power steering and even get the hicas light come up for low power steering fluid

The heavy steering thing is more a result of removing the hicas computer so as you dont have one guess all will be well

another vote for HTT (near bp palms on the highway) Helped me out at a minutes notice with dramas on my initial rego (torn steering boot) and prices seem okay

Was told the g4 brake upgrade package was designed to work with stock master cylinder etc was one of my major concerns about them, can anyone confirm or deny this?

even a cloudy overcast day will bring up the error code for the sun sensor I doubt that is what is causing your drama though almost sounds like it might just be a loose connector if the rest of the diagnostic check is okay is it or isnt it blowing the fuse? If it is could be the clutch coil on the compressor

I could be wrong but depending on the mounting point couldn't the oil flow back and make the block look overfull when the motor is not running?
