  3. cant believe the number of crap post on here with pages of replys Something this important struggles for 2 pages Bump to the top!!!!
  4. yeah motor is out for a rebuild (should of said that) were turned off in the powerFC looking like I wont be refitting them have already ceramic coated the dumps so not keen to try n mod em at this point
  5. BUGGER!!!! At least you know they wont rust now I doubt just normal driving will start a fire but is hard to say really cant offer ya much help maybe trying to clean it out a bit using like one of those coin op carwash thingo's especially if ya got one near by?
  6. not sure if you plan to use o2 sensors if you do check my post here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/O2...rs-t298491.html reckon you will run into the same or similar problem as R34 o2 sensors are a larger thread and I suspect longer reach than R32 Flanges can be machined just extra cash involved if ya cant do it yaself or at least at mates rates dont reckon it would be to pricey anyway
  7. Okay wasnt running o2 sensor's previously and economy was so so was around 320ish kW power fc hks 2530's etc running trust style (not sure they are genuine) long dump front pipes was going to try to buy reducers today to refit the o2 sensors only to find that the plugs I was using to block the hole on the dumps which were flush with the inside of the pipe are nearly as long as the reach on the o2 sensors (see pic) rough measurement I reckon I would end up with maybe 2-3 mm of sensor actually in the exhaust flow not sure this will actually work previously the guy tuning the car said it probly wasnt worth running the o2 sensors anyway what do you think will the sensors give acurate readings installed like that???
  8. I reckon meridian motorsports used to do one for R32 try give em a call let us know how ya go pretty keen to get one my self once back on the road ""potential"" group buy???
  9. 34's are considered the pic of the stock dumps thought the were stainless so rust is weird? found alot of stuff on my R32 has like one stud one bolt etc. sometimes when you go to bolt it up it makes sence sometimes less so If the flange faces are square/flat checked with a steel rule etc. and thats all ya got go with em I reckon
  10. okay partially answering my own questions spoke to Otomoto today and they were real helpful reckon cover bolts should be 1.8 kg/m so 13.02 ft lbs sounds about right no defintative answer on the flywheel bolts though anyone installed on of these on a 32GTR?
  11. I feel sorry for ya. Have you seen what this shit looks like further down the track big flaking of bits of clear coat crap, not a good look. acid rain?? to lazy to look after there car more like it.
  12. Not far from actually installing my OS Giken STR 2C Twin Plate Clutch Kit only problem being when balancing the bottom end of my motor they had to remove the clutch cover plate to bolt it all up clutch was sent to them before me so I didnt get the installation booklet (I saw in the Sillbeer blog) Anyone know the torque settings for the cover bolts? I have arrowed one of the bolts in the pic below. Also wondering if anyone can confirm I can use the stock flywheel bolts as I reckon I read on here they are too long?? any help much appreciated
  13. as above + transfer case cooler? please?
  14. Recently had my rockers resprayed with KH2 dark grey pearl metallic as Nissan call it or r32 gunmetal grey as most know it is a "clear over base "system as I assume is midnight purple brought the paint direct from Nissan primer color clear and hardner cant remember the brand but can post that up later if it will help
  15. cool cheers musta missed that one So many cool build threads on here at the moment making me wish I spent more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  16. got pix? recon I dont need too worry yet but hmmmmmmmm fair enough if ya not keen to share
  17. Hmm got me thinking so I had to see if I had the Gibson take on this and I did bit outa my budget though I reckon be nice though but probly wouldnt last as long as the Nissan version bit more maintenance involved too
  18. hmmmm mine are not in the car yet interested to hear what benefits etc. this may provide other than noy having to use a press next time I need to change em.
  19. pic for ya okay nissan call it a ball joint same diff
  20. didnt think to take pics of both, sorry
  21. I think maybe you should have a better look pretty sure you can buy said ball joint in fact am sure I have two out in the shed ready to go into mine! ball join bolts to hub assembly then pokes through where you have arrowed that arm were not overly cheap 150ish I reckon each from nissan
  22. na the guy is right its a tie rod not a bush needs to be press fitted to the hub so hub will require removal to replace looking forward to doing it to doing it to mine soon from memory nissan only for these and not cheap I couldnt find any aftermarket alternative
  23. Cant believe any serious racing body anywhere would be so foolish as to try to stop the use of E85 Just wish I could buy it anywhere in my state
  24. as above will factory fan and shroud still fit?
