Sydney Kid said it wasn't a good idea in one of his posts. I'd like to keep as many of the factory bits as possible.
But if I can block it off, it'll be blocked off.
They give reasonable grip and handling until the road gets bumpy.
Day to day they're too hard. You get used to it though.
I've got they rears at 340mm from centre of wheel to gaurd. It gives me 2deg of neg camber.
Combined with the hard springs = no traction.
Its fun having a tail happy car though.
- I am running more boost, had the stock turbo before @ 12psi, now got the 2530 @ 16psi.
- the -24 was in cmHg.
Going to check for leaks.
Btw, vacuum leak isn't dangerous right?
Got a:
R33 gtst
HKS 2530
Blitz Dual SBC Boost Controller.
At idle it used to read -47 now reads -24
At max boost, which is 16psi it reads 0.4 which is about 4psi
Factory boost gauge reads the same as before.
So, who can help?
I got a Blitz LM which is almost the same. You may have to cut a little off your reo and move your horns. And if you may want to cut out the middle bit of your front bar which looks like a type-m style to get more air to the cooler. DIY, about 3-4hrs.
Had the same problem. Fixed it up by cutting a hole on the air box lid. But the real problem was the rubber pipe from airbox to turbo was sucking itself shut beacuse the snorkel was sealing up against the bonnet. A more solid pipe would be the go but the extra hole worked fine.
THe colour of something will only effect its ability to absorb light energy.
White reflects light heat, black absorbs light heat.
So unless u have a 1kw floodlight in front of your fmic, colour don't do sh!t
Thats what I thought R&R was. But why would there be too much airflow with stock boost and a FMIC. I guess I should check for leaks again. Any tips on checking for leaks?
Just put a front mount on, the car gets to full boost as per normal but suddenly cuts out after 5000. This happens at any boost, 7-12psi. I thought rich and retard only happens 10psi+. So do I have a leak in the cooler set-up?
Mods are:
Turbo back exhaust
EBC
FMIC
I thought customer service was ordinary too.
But they had a nice and clean r33 that I wanted and so I bought.
Just be firm when negotiating the price, the prices are way too high.
It doesn't "look" like it would flow evenly. Don't have any evidence to back it up.
It would be good if it does because I've been looking for a cheap set-up with shorter intercooler piping.
Is the grey r33 4 door that drives along wellington rd every day on here? Your car sounds sooooooo fat. Got double glazed windows in the office, but ca still here you coming a mile away.
