Missfire Boost@4500-5500 RPM - The Answer! (for me at least!)
polishboi replied to Nightman's topic in General Maintenance
i had this problem and i originally had 1.1mm gap so just the standard gap for this plug then i gapped them down to 0.75mm it removed my problem for a while however now upgraded to a slightly larger problem has caused the same problem so im getting splitfire coil packs cant go wrong with them :-D -
hey guys ive just recently switched to an r33 series turbo turbo from stock i know there isnt much difference in the turbso and stuff but i was just wondering what intake does every one use? im just using the standard rubber with a bend and AFM then pod but it seems to slightly kink the standard intake because its only a soft rubber. was just wondering if any one has some pictures of the intake setup they are you using.

i seen them because i use to catch the bus its like near north city plaza hey?big speed bumps they make the bus move lol

R32 Gts-t Having Trouble Finding A Good Idle
polishboi replied to polishboi's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
mines defenetly not siezed. i removed the iac before it seemed really blocked up with carbon so yeh. i cleaned it out with throttle body cleaner and fitted made no difference. a dodgy tps would give you flat spots wouldnt it? i dont seem to have that problem but its something worth lookign at -
blow by from pcv also wouldnt say it cant be turbo seal. but the violent shudderings questionable relating to your problem. the violent shudder wasnt high up in the rev range was it? i had that problem running a bit higher then stock boost. coil packs are starting to give way and couldnt handle a big gap. solution split fire coil packs or gapping down plugs haha
-
could be your turbo seal starting to go ive had that problem and it went on the exhaust side so after a fair bit of driving it would seem like im doing burnouts because of the burning oil :-p. also where is your pcv plumbed into if its even plumbed in. i would go along the lines of running an atmospheric catch can for a while and see if ya got any oil in the intercooler after. if results show you aint got any oil in your intercooler then i would go comp check to see the state of the piston rings :-) if you still got oil in your intercooler then yeh prolly a turbo ;-p

hey mate i recently did my heater hoses and all my coolant hoses on my r32 so i know my coolant hoses back to found haha. the heater hoses go into water jacket underneath the intake manifold. if you look at your block there is a fitting for the heater lines. there will be a divider and all the heater hoses go in there. im sorry if its not accurate but that should point you in the right direction :-)

hey every one i was just wondering has any one experienced this problem. i got an r32 and it seems to idle high. it idle around 1700 rpm was just wondering would that be the idle air control motor faulty because i am aware of the idle set screw on the housing of the iac however ive screwed it down and the best idle i can get is around 1700rpm. with the idle air control disconnected i can get a more appropriate idle going however it wants to stall on me at times. was just wondering has anyone had a simular problem and found it to be the iac or is there a learn function on the skyline to setup the idle?

Hey every one yesterday night i went for a drive in my r32. I recently had some exhaust mods done so the exhaust was lower then usual. Unfortunately my car is sitting alot lower then the standard ride height because of my coilovers. I was heading down Kwinana freeway and got pulled over by a police officer. He said he saw sparks coming off my exhaust so he gave me a yellow sticker on the spot. Was just wondering what does the western australian pits look for when it comes to vehicles. Is a Catalystic Converter a must or you can get away without one? Obviously ride height is one. i know i cant have a screamer dump pipe fitted. But what do they look for when you go through the pits. Are oil leaks a major concern?
-
hhaha indeed thats sooo funny certainly a quality movie
-
ive got a few mates with screamer dump pies the worst part about them is the exhaust leak on idle once you get going the leak is hardly noticable but when the internal gate open the sound is quality!
