  2. Thanks mate I think I will give it a go,I wanted to keep the std wheels and not up grade as I have two sets 1 for road and 1 for track
  3. I have a mate that is selling GTR 32 front brakes and Im thinking of upgrading my GTS ones and use the std GTS-T rims as I dont want to change them.Any help would be greatly apperciated Cheers
  4. Garry my car is the same as Daves in his profile unless his profile isn't up to date so I assume its a 93 R32 gts he is referring, caster/camber would make it the front so yes I can speak for experience for this model only not other skylines as I was answering Daves question .We can agree to disagree till the cows come home,You are more than welcome and invited to come over to my place as I know you don't live that far from me and have a look for yourself in person.I have a wheel alingment machine at home which is accurate and true we check it all the time.I can set it up ready for you if your keen to have a look and I can show you all measurements before and after my mods (All written down in my records).I might add that this is something that only a mechanic / tech should do NOT for someone unskilled or untrained.
  5. With my car I wanted it done on the dyno and he said that he only gained an extra handfull of kws difference from the mail order chip they are that good from the word go.I can't recommend him highly enough.Better fuel econemy, responce, killer midrange, throttle control,
  6. Garry I have got after market camber bush kit (l wont say any brand names here) with a ride height of 20mm lower than std and run out of adjustment to much - camber. So I needed to reduce - camber so I had no other option but to take another path and the option I had was to shim it and I asure u you can adjust the camber with shims.I wanted to remove -camber and from memory we used a 3mm shim which gave us about 30 min adjustment. The caster the best way is to buy after market adjustable tension rods,we did adjuct the caster by only a fraction enough for me to be happy. The best way is to go after market for tension rods or adjustable bushs for even more adjustment as the std bushs are nearly due or overdue to be replaced on most cars anyway. With a combined total of 50 years between my farther and me I assure you it can be done! Cheers
  7. Hi mate I just got a remap tune and the cam gears dialled in by Dr Drift and the results are f@#king awesome and cost no where near the $1300 -$1500 you were quoted. He is well worth the drive down there or can do a mail order chip.He would be 1 of the hand full of people that I would let touch my car he is that good.I choice to go this path as it still uses a lot of the features of the std computer and cheaper than a PFC.If you live in the sydney area I can let you have a drive if you like
  8. Hi Dave its a shame you are not in sydney I could do it for you,I had the same problem had to adjust caster and camber and it can be done with shimming it takes a far bit of time though but can be done. You really need someone who is old school and knows there stuff only a mechanic / tech to tackle this job NOT for unskilled or untrained people Good luck
  9. Hey mate Im after the front calibers only can you help and how much? Cheers
  10. Hey mate the 34 turbos are steel wheel and ball bearing cores std they handle up to 18psi ok hope this helps
  11. Mate 33 brakes are still good you can get them slotted but its not worth it just buy new ones,l wouldn't recommend crossed drilled as they crack in- between all the holes
  12. Hi mate l think you should add a hicas lock bar and pineapples. Me l would get the GTR brake pakage with slotted rotors braided brake lines should fit your budget just fine if you shop around. But a mate of mine has a set of big 356mm 8 spot brakes from just jap which if you go this path they work pretty dam good. Good luck with it
  13. A pipe spanner they call it may be a worth while investment from supercheap or repco.Remember when bleeding brakes start from the passenger rear them drivers rear then passenger front then drivers front this is the correct way to bleed the system.Happy motoring
  14. Mate I have a just jap one fitted to my R32GTS and yes some of the hoses are a bit long which isn't much of a drama. The main problem with the kit that I got is on the sandwich plates the fittings that connect the hoses to the sandwich plates use O'rings which when you tighten them up they split and then leak.I'm in the process of getting either copper washers with a hydraulic sealent or colapsable washers fitted.Apart from that I think there not that bad a lot cheaper than $1000 trust item
  15. Hi mate I would recommend that you take your car to Powerplay as they are about the only place I would recommend they have a very good rep and old fasion service which is hard to beat. They have cars come to them from all over the place Greece/Qld/Vic and so forth. They get a lot of cars in that other so called performance shops have attempted to modify and they have come to the rescue for the customer. It wouldn't hurt to give them a call
  16. If you were to use plenum and throttle bodys and accelerater cable and other std parts that go on the RB26 intake side of motor you can buy an adapter plate from autobarn which will then make it possible to bolt onto the RB25 head I think from memory the adapter plate cost around $500 mark.
  17. I also have a 3inch catco with 5inch body and its works a treat
  18. Hi guys I just got a set of buddy club n+ with optionall extra tops fitted which lm about fit in the next week or two. They have 8kg front and 6kg rear I will let you know how I go if you like.
  19. Fair enough I think I might just get the Nismo S tunes I think they are rebadged bilsteins so they should be able to be rebuilt at some stage Cheers thanks for the help
  20. No worries mate I thought I would bite the bullet and buy a new trust cat back I got it at a price to good to refuse
  21. They come with 16 step adjustment if I could have the adjustment in the middle for road use I think they would be spot on Im not real keen if I have to have them on the lowest setting for normal road use
  22. Hi guys n girls I have ordered a set of Buddy club N+ coil overs for my R32GTS Im a bit worried that they are going to be a bit hard for what Im after they are 8kg front 6kg rear. Most of my driving is 80% roads and maybe 20% track days. Im worried that they will be to hard for street as we all know that the roads are up the shit but great on the track.Should I get nismo S tune instead which are 5.3kg front n 3.9kg rear as these are great for inbetween road n track,(Im not keen on Tein super streets)The best thing would be to go for a test drive in some ones car but I don't know anyone in the local area that has a set in there car.Any help would be great Cheers Grunter
