  1. Short notice, but how do i get into this event?
  2. No, the only time i've been to wakefield this year was good friday.
  3. Yeah, I'm up for a drum of oil. It doesn't bother me if it's 60L or 20L.
  4. Sadly I can't make it. My car is booked into Eastcoast suspension to get SK group buy put on the 16th. I may have to make a WP run before May ends. OP will have to wait.
  5. Congrats to both you guys. Bloody good times guys and I look forward to your developments over the coming rounds of circuit battle. I've watched that video over and over, working out where I go wrong around WP. Keep the vids coming guys.
  6. I'm selling this AP Racing caliper, disk and bracket kit. Kit includes; 2 x 315mm AP Racing two piece disks. 2 x 5200 series 4 piston AP Racing Calipers. 2 x AP Racing brackets. 2 x braided lines Kit bolts straight up to the R32. And I gather R33. This kit will fit the R32 16' rims. 50c shows the size of pads $1800 pickup in sydney
  7. What did you get done and how much did it cost you?
  8. I'm in for the 16th. I guess I need to get my L2S licenses then. I hope my SAU NSW member info comes soon... I wonder if i could get me timing belt, cam gears and PFC tuned by then????
  9. I'd love to get a top shelf driver drive my car around EC and show what she can really do. As I don't want to find the limits the hard way. After seeing an Integra type R slam the wall the other week, i'd hate to be that guy.
  10. Hi all, I bought this N02 kit when i was on holidays in the US. I was going to put it on my GTR and drag race it, but have since been hooked on circuit racing. So i need to pay for my circuit racing habit, and sell the nitrous kit. This is the kit: http://www.zex.com/Products/NitrousOxide/Wet8cyl.asp I have never used it, as it sat in my garage for the past 12months collecting dust. $1K and it yours. I'll post photos tomorrow. cheers, padey
  11. Car Make and Model: R32 GTR Circuit Name: Wakefield Lap time: 1:10.34 Experience: I know this track very well. Circuit Name: Eastern Creek Lap time: 1:55.3490 Experience: My second time there. Oran Park GP coming on the 16th.... Modifications Engine: RB26DETT 2860-7 turbos 18psi, full 3' exhaust, standard ECU and fuel system, oil cooler. Notable Consult results = 98%duty cycle on injectors and almost 98% on AFMs. Power: 240awkw. Suspension: k-sport coil overs? Tyres: RE55's all round Brakes: standard R32 calipers and disks. Red stuff pads and top shelf fluid Body weight: standard plus my fat arse.
  12. I hit Eastern Creek last Wednesday to get a few quick laps in before I stick in Sk's R32 GTR group buy. I thought I would be good to get a base time so I could see the improvment and also get some more laps under my belt. Anyway I rolled of what I though was a decent time in my car: 1:55. I mean my car is not big car, power or suspension, by anyone's standard so I was content. Over the weekend I pulled out an old copy of Wheels magazine (May 1991) and found an article where they compared 4 cars around eastern creek, one of them being a R32 GTR. Short story is the GTR beat the M5, NSX, Ferrari 348 and Porsche Carrera 4 around the track and through various simulated driving tests. The interesting thing for wantbe-weekend-warrior-trackday-prima-donnas' like me is that the driver, Kevin Bartlett, in the stock GTR with street rubber rattled off a 1:56sec lap. Just go to show you what good driving can do in a good car!!!! ATM i'll keep the training wheels on.
  13. 16th could be a winner. Being as it would be my first time at OP, how much does it cost and do you need any special license requirements?
  14. I was in the grey R32 and I pushed out a 1:55.???. I'm not sure if that was the exact time (i remember the 1:55 bit), but i'm waiting for the circuit guys to post the times up on their web site. I only got one run in the dry as the wife and kids came down for lunch when it was time for one of my other dry sessions. The guy in the Integra who slammed the wall spun out in front of me, poor guy. But I was glad just to get one session in the dry as I've ordered Sydney kids suspension group buy and picked up some AP calipers, so I'm keen to compare the times. I was disappointed that I was stuck in the green group. So many times i'd be on a screamer and then get caught up by slow traffic. A few comments about my car; The ATESSA in the R32 is rubbish on a wet track. By the time it kicks in, it's to late you're off the accelerator correcting. HICAS is also rubbish. Can be unsettling when the rear of the car wants to play tricks. RE55s in the dry are sticker then bubblegum on a footpath on a hot summers day, but they are like soap in the wet! padey
  15. I basically have the same setup, the difference being standard ECU and 2860-7 turbos. Running 18psi i get 240awkw, and the injectors and AFM are at 95%. So i'm wondering will the different turbo and PFC make that much of a difference??? thanks
  16. I don't understand why it needs to more $ then any other modern 6cy forced induction engine. Why? Is it GTR tax?
  17. I can only think of one way to solve this. SAU NSW Vs SAU Mexicans. 1 Track in Sydney, ie EC, 1 track in Melb ??? and one track between Syd-Melb, Wakefield/Winton. Any maybe we should have categories to limit checkbook racing; 1) unlimited, 2) cars with some power limiting bits: standard fuel pump/injectors ...... Winner takes all
  18. I'm interested too.
  19. I had a look at the forecast, and it doesn't look good. Wednesday, rain and 22deg.
  20. After a few PM's and emails, i'll be going too. I can't wait to get out there and give it another go.
  21. I got them last year for $400 a pop. not sure if the price has gone up this year though.
  22. I got my 4x RE55, 255 17's at Gorden levin tyres. But if anyone knows a cheaper place to get them, my wallet is all ears.
  23. SK, great stuff. Just wondering if there is anything I should get differently to the GB considering I want to set it up purely for track use. Oh are the rear Bilsteins in stock? cheers, Andrew
