  1. I sent the payment and faxed the application form yesterday. I look forward to joining the club. cheers, Andrew edit: I think the fax went through upside down. Damn the new fax; technology has got me again. Well at least the payment went through. lol
  2. I'm keen on the track day. Can you point me in the right direction for info. cheers, andrew
  3. Just joined SAU. Next to get the L2S.
  4. Duncan & SK, As promised i've spent a bit of time at the track, made some forced changes to the car and now have some questions about a particular handling trait i have with the car, and whether the GB will sort this out. Changes include some birthday presents: front, rear and b-pilar braces. And some forced changes: new turbos. Firstly compared to other cars I've owned I'm being extremely picky, but I find that in tight corners (ie hairpin onto straight at wakefield) from mid corner through to the exit I find the car rocking front to back with power down. I know it sounds odd but it hinders me really ripping it out of a corner. I didn't have any rear wheel slip and thus didn't notice any torque transfer to the front. The tyres (RE55s) really held up well. Just wondering if a modified GB (aggressive setup for track) will remove this? Actually what is this problem caused by? Did the braces make it to stiff? Power delivery from the new huffers is up and corner entry speeds are up to. Thanks for your help in advance, Andrew
  5. Where and what is required to get a L2S license?
  6. how thick are they? edit: don't worry i'll look it up myself
  7. Hi Shire people, Somehow I stumbled into this thread. A few of us non shire people will be doing a nasho run on the 7th, meeting a Sylvania Macas at 10pm. A few skylines, taxis (commodores and Falcons) and some 4bangers. padey
  8. Is it to late to buy two? cheers, Andrew
  9. I'm just wondering how easy or hard is it to fit some Lance EVO 8 brembos to a R32 GTR?
  10. I've done a lot of reading and searching, but i'm trying to find a good turbo upgrade that doesn't require any supporting mods that most of the turbos mentioned use to get the most out of them. One of my stock turbos has given up. So i need to upgrade, but don't want excessive lag. Any ideas? GT2860R? I'm just not sure what version. cheers, andrew
  11. Cheers for the reply guys. Duncan, I think i have a wedding on that Saturday. What time are you starting, as i might be able to get a few hours in the morning. I got the feeling my fronts were a little under the optimal tyre pressure, but left the gauge at home. My car when pressed does have a bit of understeer in all corners, it was just more painfully dominant at those two corners; 2 and 8. SK & Duncan, I think i might spend a bit more time on technique and then i'll take it from there. It was only my first time out with my GTR and only second time on the track, my first being a 1976 mini. So not really anything to help me. ap
  12. Looks like i'm late to the party, as the bride and groom have left the building. I took my car to the creek last week and rolled out a 1:58. Stock engine GTR with RE55s all round. Now I have no idea if thats a good time or not. (it could be a crap time, i don't know what other R32 GTRs are doing) Anyway, my car has a little understeer when pushed for several laps, esp turn 2/3 and turn 8. By the looks of it, the kit is long gone. So any idea how i can dial that understeer out. I've got some harsh jap coilovers and standard everything else. Any tips would be good. I'm not a tight arse and happy to do what needs to be done. cheers, padey
  13. I've been reading this thread with great interest, as my car understeers a bit too. Any idea on a good adjustable camber kit? I'm not sure where to start. cheers, padey
  14. Do you have the front passenger side air vent?
  15. cheers. a friend has some sitting around doing nothing. I will give them a miss.
  16. I'm a bit of a car n00b and got no idea about offsets and the like. I'm just wondering if the standard R34GTT rims will fit on my R32 GTR without any modification? thanks, ap
  17. Had heaps of fun for my first time on the track with my GTR. So when is the next one? And what times were some of the other cars doing? cheers ap
  18. I did a 1:58. Very happy with that, since it was my first time out at the track in my GTR. Basically stock car and started with a full tank of petrol with semislicks. I had a little understeer when fully stretched. I guess i need to speak to some handling geeks to dial that out. But i had a fun night and will go back for more.
  19. Starts at 4:30pm and finishes as 9pm. You need to book. Fill in the form, fax it through, and you get a call saying your in. I'm not organising the day, but myself and a mate will be running. So come down and say hello. ap Twilight_Track_Day_Booking_Form__9Feb07__1_.doc
  20. I'm going out for a few twilight laps tonight at the creek. Is anyone else from here going? If your not watching the cricket, then come down. cheers, ap
  21. If they are R32 GTR dumps, drop me a PM.
  22. I've got EBS reds and I can say they are tighter then Dick Johnston at a nun convention.... The down side is that I get a fair bit of slim dusty action up front.
  23. I prefer natural beauty and I think you'll find that the two people you mentioned don't require such a heavy smoothing action over their skin.
  24. WTB R34GT-T stock rims, with or without rubber. In Sydney.
  25. You still got the R34 rims? How much rubber on them?
