  1. Just wondering if anyone has one of these things?

    Do they operate effectively?

What extactly can you do with a unit that only adjusts 8 points or 500rpm on the AFM signal?

    How big are they?

Sorry about all the questions peoples, but I have read that alot of people have these things on their skylines and I was wondering what ll the hype was about?

    Thanks in advance!

  2. I am having abit of trouble hooking up a timing light to my Skyline GTS25T.

It has an inductive pick-up and I want to adjust the crank angle sensor to get the timing right.

Where do I connect the pick-up too? Is this the right method for adjusting the timing? Any help would be great!

  3. calvintys, Only after a stock BOV, nothing fancy, Already have a Turbosmart Vee Port on it already, making it run shit at idle.

DJ_L3ThAL, I have been quoted $90 for the snorkel and box, I'll give you $50 for both...

  4. I know in Vic you need a Road worthy Certificate (mine cost $70) and to pay transfer fees ($600 including stamp duty), then there is repairs to make the car road worthy etc ($250). If the car is unregistered then you have to pay get an unregistered car permit to drive it around from home to workshop. Apart from that I can't think of anything else...

  5. Thnx J,

I have started compiling a list like Meggala's info, but specific to R33's. So I need some more info about some of the other parts people have used in the past.

I'll post the list sometime tonight and then people can add to it as they like...

  6. Has anyone complied a list of part numbers for skylines? Part numbers for spark plugs, belts, oil and air filters, anything and everything etc.

If not can people post info on part numbers they have used in the past...

This sort of information would really be handy and help alot of people out. Thanks in advance

  7. There have been heaps of posts on this subject.

I think that this problem has happened in evertything from silvas to skylines. Nissan engineers in their wisdom wired the fuel pump to recieve 1/2 the normal current when the car was at idle. This means when you take your foot off the gas the fuel pump starts to lose power. As the pump gets older and worn it needs more current to supply the fuel required. This starves the car of fuel causing a stall.

However I have heard fixes that range from changing the O2 sensor, cleaning the AFM, changing the fuel pump or fuel filter and even ECU reset. I reckon the best is to start with the basics and work your way up.

Do a search you'll see heaps of posts on this topic!

  8. What I found was when I hit the temp up/down buttons on the climate control when the system was off, the temp in the display when the system was turned back on changed. I think there is a default temp that the car maintains irrespective if the climate control is on or off.
