this might be a dumb question, but wheres this breather..?

hmm i wonder what it might be... what does detonation smell like? i dont get no warning light and i don't have a knock sensor (pfc not in as yet).... is there a certain sort of smell that i should look out for? stupid questions but hey i'm a nOOb .. and i've used the search function

Hey everyone... recently i've had my gearbox oil and diff oil changed, i noticed under the car when the mechanic was probably draining it they spilt a little on there. Pretty much after i've had this done i take my car for a bit of a "spirited drive" and i notice this weird smell coming from around there, it sort of smells like gearbox oil burning or more of what i can smell "burning shit" I was wondering if its just the little bit of oil thats still stuck on the box that could still be giving me that smell or if its something more dramatic... also i don't know what detonation smells like wether its a werid stench and wether i should be worrying about it, the mechanic is a bit busy and i thaught if anyone on here could help it'll help me out heaps.. I payed $800 for belt, water pump, coolant, belts but no bearings incl labour... oh that also included diff and transmission oil..

i think their embarrassed about the fact that their f**ked in the head... and the rest of the world knows it now aswell

Man i wish i had all this info when i was looking for a turbo, for a street car theres no need to go for anything past a highflow or a direct fit GTRS or something T25/28 based, like everyone else said response is what you want for a street car, why would you want a lag monster? You cant go past a direct bolt on for $$ and for performance... standard manifold is fine just look at setups and results from all the other forum members, and if you don't plan on opening up the motor i wouldn't go for a GT30 besides as soon as its spotted by the cops/epa your in for big $$... its just not worth it if its just a street car. If you go track/drift/drag car then i'd understand but its only a st car... Seriously, listen to the people with experience (i wish i did) save yourself a motor and save yourself some $$ and headf**ks.

i think i've seen a tutorial on fitting a head unit in an r33... that'll probably be your best bet in trouble shooting this issue dude but GL anyways looks like heaps of helpful info in this thread from people.

I totally agree with this.. as cruel as it seems people always are out shooting roo's but clubbing them to death seems really wrong. I agree with SY031 on this as the media seems to dramatise things soo much and them calling these idiots "HOONS" just doesn't make sense... i thaught hoons were people that drove "hotted up cars" so to speak, man the media sux balls with all their lies... but the media is good for only one thing and thats making people scared not aware.

The easiest way to make one is... - Get your measurements of where you want the stencil to be on your cooler, height and width. - Jump on the net and look for the easiest hybrid logo to copy.. - Make your desired size (you might need 2 A4 peices of paper to print it out on when you make it the correct size) - Print it out, join the 2 papers together then cut the HYBRID logo out - Copy onto cardboard and cut it out and then your done! Its very easy, i found the trust one to look the best but you can make any stencil you want... i wanted to make a f**kYOU (backwards so people in their rear view could see it properly LOL) one but i thaught it might attract unwanted attention.. good luck mate!

Standard injectors are purple and i think 370cc so you don't have aftermarket injectors unfortunatly.

purple pig has straight but no bends... its cheaper than autobarn and better quality aswell..

isnt there a bracket that joins from the front pipe to the cat that holds the exh up in place? i found that if you modify it and get it to fit properly it'll stop it from moving and lift it up a little aswell..
