  1. Your best option is to take out your head unit and get the trigger wire that gives power to the aerial and chop it, put a switch with a relay between the trigger wire from the head unit to the aerial wire and hide your switch somewhere, that way if you need the aerial just flick the switch and if you dont then leave it completely down... now you've given me an idea i'm going to give it a try lol
  2. Could it be cos he's accidently turned to timing a little up or something? If they didn't put it back exactly where it was before could make it do that?
  3. Cool dude good luck wit it all!
  4. Cool dude well let us know what the problem is when you find out, in future if you ever need a tune best to see Paul @ Chasers in Footscray... best tuner i've ever met

    Car Washes

That'll be great if it actually rained in melb...

    Car Washes

If you were to use a bucket and a sponge without asking them when its not busy would it be a bad thing? I never ask em i just do it lol providing its not busy i dont really want people to start bitching n moaning about having to wait....
  7. The only other option would be an amplifier... I worked on a 180sx drift car and this guy only had his speakers connected through an amp straight to his Ipod, no head unit... worked well
  8. That could be the problem dude, try regap em to .8 or something if you havnt already

    Car Washes

LoL This is so true.. if you wash your own car then you wouldn't need to blame someone else for screwing yours up.. Seeing these stage 3 water restrictions are in place now these places get chockers so its hard to go there with a bucket and a sponge unless you wana get into an argument with a bush pig driving a muddy 4WD telling you to hurry the f*k up LOL Bucket n sponge, pay $2 for water and call it a day... You take more pride in your car when you wash it yourself...
  10. HOLY MOLY.... I cant belive how much people are willing to pay for em now that they're gone... geeze lucky i got mine around a month or so before they stopped for $950.. and now its gathering dust waiting to be fitted and tuned
  11. isnt that a little overkill if he's only going to change to a gcg high flow?
  12. God of war 2... god of war the first part was excellent!
  13. I had someone on here offering me a used cluster for around $150 or something, i'm sure a used one will be just as good as fixing your current one... by the way do you have el dials or something? if they're installed incorrectly it can stop the needle from moving freely.. but by reading it seems like you dont. lol
  14. LOL true dat... is it bleed valve or ebc?
  15. LoL thats true... just depends how you are... if you've worked around cars previously then should be ok, if you havn't and are dumbfounded by your motor & engine bay and cutting holes and fins and removing front bars and shit then give the workshop $250 and call it a day...
  16. Yea pretty much its just assing about... with the right tools in your hands i think it makes the job a bit easier, and a mate to help you is good too... having a bit of knowledge of mechanics will help too...
  17. Ahuh! your right lol Its been a while since mine's come off but yes your right lol
  18. horsepowerinabox, nengun, greenline... or try your local performance workshop. i payed $120 for the heavy duty 14psi spring actuator but its universal with a universal bracket, try get one to suit your turbo like if its hks probably get hks cos it'll save you some time in fitting it and messing with the brackets
  19. GTR wings have about 7 or so bolts, 4 clips, 2 on each side where the spoiler part goes towards the window where it goes thin.. just be careful but if your going to take it off cos of the clips, you need to pull it exactly where the clips are straight up but you need to use a bit of force aswell cos they might be a little stuck... When they pop it'll sound like you snapped something but you didn't... It'll be a bit messy under there from the glue and crap... when i pulled mine gtr spoiler off it had all this gluey residue shit on it... so i put it back on and started saving pennies to get drift wing and respray boot lol
  20. Like i'm sure they would be fine with the tune and the results will more than likely be as good as having sards or nismos in there, but what i'm concerned about and i dunno if anyone can vouch for this is wether they will go the distance? i've read the jecs ones leak around the seals or something like that, some people complaining and crap but yea i suppose its pot luck with alot of stuff you buy... even rebuilds can turn to shit cos the tuner/mechanic didnt take the right measures for the abuse the motor is due to take... which i've seen with a few workshops in melb which friends have been to with their cars... But deatchwerks always say "if there is something wrong with them just send em back to us" and they will replace them.. they're REALLLY REALLY good to deal with and they arn't ones to hide even tho they're in oaklahoma usa.... but eh i suppose its only worth a try
  21. Thats excactly right! If you leave the stock dump pipe its being restricted regardless so for under $150 even under $100 these days you can get a dump pipe which is the #1 mod i personally think anyway...
  22. Yep thats a definate!
  23. The only pain in the ass about installing the intercooler is cutting the hole, if you can get your hands on a metal hole saw just do it like that, when you think about it even if you have to buy the hole saw you'll spend less money on buying it than getting someone else to fit it, and get to know your car more... its a good experience and in an R33 its quite easy, just needs the right tools for the job. Theres a guide on here aswell i'm pretty sure i've seen... its certanly not worth giving someone else $250 for something you can do yourself.
  24. Thats quite true, although if your car was completely standard i suppose it would be ok. Nissan engineered it to be at 7000rpm from factory, not 7000rpm with mods and standard internals.... If your motor is designed to sit at a rev limiter like for drift n shit then you can sit there and drop the clutch from 7k lol but fuel cut rev limiter sounds a bit dangerous with mods i think...
  25. Theres a way to check the oxy sensor... i think with a multimeter to see if its actually sending a signal to the ecu, probably check that its sending a signal before you get it retuned... seeing a tune will cost $450-$500 compared to an 1/2hr of your time to check the sensor and an odd $75 if its faulty...
