Yeah i also had the same problem, like these guys after cleaning the AFM with elec contact cleaner and cleaning the aac valve the problem went away

It also could be a problem with the speed controller, if it has a mechanical speed controller that could be your issue as they tend to break fair easy

Hey sled yeah i was going to get the mircowave sensor one but apparently under hot conditions they can set the microwave sensors off and make your alams siren go off randomly but the good points about them is when someone gets into a certain proximity of the car it will send a warning beep let the person know there too close to the car so that helps in situations like people keying your car or about to attempt to break in. The good thing about the ultrasonic sensor is it only goes off once there is some sort of movement inside of the cabin so your alarm wont randomly set off but the prob with these ones is people can do damage to the outside of your car without setting off the alarm

I did heaps of research into alarms and i ended up getting a mongoose m80au from audio express on these forums and im really happy with it, you should have a look in the security/audio thread
