  1. Touch wood there has never apparently been a problem in the center arena during the day, parked the a few times in the gtr.
  2. As shell pinted out if you have comprehensive with "windows coverage" then it should be free to claim windows on. Check first.
  3. Maybe 2 dead rotary motors. Normally there's at least one rb that needs a rebuild or new turbo's. Sir son of rajab was in a race R31 Skyline rb26 powered? running new federal semi slicks (the one above the rs-R's). You can see how effective the combo is on the vid i posted from about 4.30 onwards.
  4. Though more correct then the straight % loss this is also incorrect. There's certainly a lot of car forums quoting their theory's but little facts, it seems very hard to point to real facts without going through the science which would send most car forum people to sleep. Duncan first post probably was as close as simple reality can get. I refer to a Wheels magazine comparison of quoted KW and tested RWKW, between high output falcons and commo's. There was common theme of 40-50kw loss between 240-310kw, lower loss for the less powerful in general. So if we say 40-50kw is a fixed amount, what happens to cars that output less then 40kw, there has been a few in years gone by. Do they not move? In reality the formula would be closer to a parabolic equation with a high % for low power cars and getting less % for high powered cars. Certainly different cars have different power loss due to differing designs and maintenance. 300rwkw approximatly equals 350fwkw. Again you can't tell some people, most in the ford forums still quote the old 30% that went out years ago. Sure my 300rwkw car has 400fwkw??? sure....
  5. Hope you have enougth cars. Booked in with you very early Jan. Good to hear you got at least one back. Any chance of charges against someone?
  6. Not sure there is a best design for the sessions, more laps just gives the cars a bigger chance of doing damage to themselves. However an extra 5 min track time also gives a lot more hot laps. eg. With my perferred 3 lap warm up each session, assuming a 1.2min lap gives 5-6 hot laps in 10 mins, where as an extra 5 min gives 9-10 hot laps. 4 sessions 15 min + 5min cool down-swap over, would give a greater opportunity to drive into town for extra fuel and a bigger break for lunch. Overall currently we get 35-42 hot laps a day, 15 min sessions we would get 42-52 (assuming 3 lap warm ups each session and 1.2 min laps). I am happy as it is, but understand others would want to try longer sessions. On another item, any thought of sharing the load at the day, eg splitting the pit wall duties into two one morning one afternoon?
  7. <iframe width="1280" height="720" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/lyRWnnPoEdk?hd=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://www.youtube.com/embed/lyRWnnPoEdk?hd=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen> how do you inbed video's again?
  8. March 3rd, Members Chocolate shop and Chocolate Factory cruise The mrs is so excited about this one, maybe me as well. Looking forward to hearing more about it.
  9. I'll look after you Scott I purchased 2 sets, pm me your address.
  10. Probably not something that many would have hanging around, tried Trojan?
  11. The only downside to the day was the lack of the expected R35. Still the Lotus's and quality of some of the other cars like the v36? skyline on the track made up for it. I had a great battle with the track prepped Lotus, just had him on the straights, as he just had me on the corners. Very brave of him to force me into the inside line in corner 2. There's only so quick a 1600kg GTR pulls up on very worn RS-R's. If anything the day was a testimate to just how good those tyres have lasted and performed over the last 6 track days. It was also a first for so many "newbies" to the track. I had the pleasure of assisting the v36 owner familarise the track and I think the lack of serious incidents was probably due to all the experianced drivers who assisted in the morning. I think most of the drivers had a great time and I would love to see them back again. I saw no Skylines broken and only 3? Mazda's have issues all day. Anyone have some more details on the Mazda's that had troubles?
  12. No real idea on times for the rest (untimed event), got a couple of 1.09's hand timed for myself. Best of all both Cejay and I didn't break anyting.
  13. Congrats to James who knocked off near 2 seconds /lap with his new Federal semi-slicks.
  14. Big thanks to all involved in putting the day on.
  15. Love to try and chase an R35
  16. Add one more to the list. Money just sent. And RENEW were worried about numbers
  17. My thoughts exactly
  18. I've been lucky on the engine, but replaced most things around it. Good luck with it all, I'd love to hear how the eventual rebuild goes. Some of the semi track racers have two engines, one built, one stock for when the built ones blows.
  19. Thats still true. How hard can it be to set up a dyno?
  20. Sorry for the delay paid now.
  21. ESP and Trojan both lots of experiance. Even autotech. Sorry no idea on a basic tune costs.
  22. Then how come your signature link for trackschool links to rallyschool? Doing free advertising for the opposition?
