  1. Considering the time value of money, you should be asking more then 1400
  2. When I had the EBC yellow pads in my were not the best(a bit doughy, needed 2 stabs to get instant response), but I think that may of had something to do with the install. EBC reds professionally installed work from start. I have not used the pads you have so can't comment on them. Heat cycles are fairly standard and as per the manufacturers recomended bed in process. Gradual braking from 60-20, 8 times then let them cool a bit, then repeat say 4 times. Then from 100-40 and repeat. If you have acess to a private road higher speeds are also recomended. Firm but gradual without stopping seems to be the trick. I've never cracked a cheap RDA rotar doing multiple track days, sure they got a bit crazed, but they wore out before they developed into cracks. With the R33 GTR brakes you won't lose much to the AP ones, sure the AP's are better but unless you have great tyres I don't think the on track differences should be that different in purely braking. Weight savings with the high end APs maybe?
  3. Yep looking forward to those fittings promised.
  4. 6 is more then a couple
  5. That would have been 1 big bad R34 and one mostly stock R33 (now upgraded but not attending). I wouldn't worry about the straight as long as you can hold the 1st corner
  6. Your car too low?
  7. Not at 10.40 either
  8. Looks nice Sin. I should be there with the tent and banner.
  9. Could it be split into morning and afternoon sessions? 40-50 on each?
  10. 25th sounds better, more time to ask for the day off. Any chance of timing each other? 15th would have been the best day considering they would have timing, but I've got other commitments on the day.
  11. I can take them all now and don't have to ask for an address OK zebra probably got in first, but if he can't get them today.
  12. Most people like to share their experiance, good and bad. If someone's got something too personal about their cars it generally relates to other issues not related to the car and they generally let you know. Over zelous NSW EPA dicks excluded. That would be a real shame, what about living in Qbe? Happy to help go over a job app if you want to have a go at entering the public service. Also happy to assist making a household budget if you ever want it. Thats about all I can offer at this stage.
  13. Link only works if you have NSCC membership (forum registration is not sufficient) and the NSCC calender is near useless for information. What is on the 25th dont_ask ?
  14. Redbook says $10,900 - $14,200, I'd say you might get a couple extra thousand for the second car. $17k tops I say. There's just not the market at the moment.
  15. May as well put a price on it.
  16. I doubt I can take the day off, but I'll give it a try.
  17. Thanks for that, I was reading this just now and wondered what happened to the posts. Again I say communication skills help in these type of disucssions. Agressive keyboard warriors really annoy people and more people should take note of Eric considered responses throughout the forum. Looking forward to attending and will book as soon as I get my car back fully repaired. Has the club looked at inviting (more formally) another club or two. Considering the date, numbers will be a bit of an issue.
  18. They actually answer the phone at this time of the night, and it's not indian. Give em all call and tell em where to go.
  19. A non turbo skyline wanting some upgrades with a bit of wow factor.... Short of bolting on a turbo, I can't think of much that would help. Sure an after market computer and exhust would help a little bit, but it would only be a very little and at big cost. It is a lot like the guys with an Falcon xr6 who want more power, new computer and new exhust from the headers back will get you like an extra 20kw and a "modified" 180rwkw car after a $3000 bill. Or just sell the N/A buy the turbo for the $3000 difference and get a "stock" 210rwkw. It sounds harsh but don't waste time and money on a car that is never going to have the performance of a normal next level up car. Look at what power you want to be making (or other aim) without rebuilding the entire engine GTS (200kw?) < GTS-T (250kw)< GTR (300kw). Make a choice on what your aims are and purchase for that aim. As you said on your first post, and being as your car is a N/A, making the car look nice at a reasonable price is probably all you can do. I.e go ahead and add some not over-the-top bling. Then save up for a car that has real performance. GTS-T if you are on a budget, GTR is you have an additional $10K after the purchase price to maintain it.
  20. Have to agree with zebra, unless there's a lot of good feedback on something new, stick with something known. Let someone else do the testing.
  21. Sure, find bright shiney stuff on ebay then take it to any shop. Else go to a place like Trojan who might have some gear lying around. Me, I prefer to get something that would help the performance over just looking bling. If you want competition level bling, not sure there is a place in Canberra.

    Jdm Fest 2011

    Entry details?
  23. Likewise Chris. Matt 100 entrants, 25 of each make, unless that changed.
  24. Welcome. My Skyline has taught me more about cars then I ever wanted to know. Look forward to seeing you out.
  25. Looks like a great day. Does anyone has a list of who got the fastest reaction time, 60ft etc?
