  1. Probably the bad financial environment. Looks real nice, I'd be tempted but after buying another house it's not on the new radar.
  2. Ahh... I'm getting excited waiting for this dyno graph. Realistically at 15 PSI with the stroker it probably doesn't have that much more to give on those small turbo's, maybe 340kw max? but the response should be awesome.
  3. I've purchased form the guy and he's on the level with my RDA grooved and dimpled rotars.
  4. Yep happy to help promote such a quality product. I have one and recomend anyone else that has a 4wd Skyline get one, it makes that much of a diference. DirtGarage has been known around for quite some time and I'm always active and known in Canberra so neither of us are going to stuff anyone around.
  5. Letters are your friends and sometimes polies. I've written to some when the need arose and the matter has been cleared up in no time.
  6. Now that is nice, very nice for such a low PSI number. Going to love seeing the dyno graphs.
  7. Well Sunday was lame as, it was like an organised event. I took and displayed the GTR - no problems again. Where were the top less models, no where I tell you. Where were the drunken idiots, again no where. It happened to feel like 40 degrees and everyone just wanted water and shade. The go-to-wo was good, the burn outs were good. The jet car driving around the park I thought was a bit dangerous but no one was drunk enougth to follow behind. I would be bored at Autosaloon but I love the idea of no grog at an event about driving nice cars. Maybe combine the two, cut out the camping and grog.
  8. Yes I totally agree, but even paying top dollar doesn't help sometimes. I've been lucky in that service, not incompetance, has been the major let downs in my less then perfect dealing. Others have paid many thousands for work that has been hap hazard to say the least.
  9. Kat, I'd love to take a ride to see that the 2.8 kit can do for my GTR.
  10. Spotted that white R33 GTR with those stock black painted wheels in Woden yesterday. Looks like a dull black powdercoat job, but still doesn't look good to me.
  11. Just a reminder if anyone would like to come to this free event to let me know. I'm looking for a spare seat if there is one for a cute blonde.
  12. Something to do with possible lible action, rubbish in most respects but it cans till be taken to court. Problem is most people complaining don't look at both sides and give a less then full account of the situation. Saying that everyone knows I'm not happy with Croyden and not massively impressed with Trojan currently.
  13. Great idea, unfortunatly I'm at a $125 dinner already. Not my choice, but there is free drinks.
  14. Attendance emailed. If any changes or additional cars please post here, I may be able to sweet talk the officials into letting you in. I'm off now until New years. Sorry I'll miss the cruise but I'm doing my own 2000km cruise through the vic alps.
  15. Looks just like every other 911, how can you tell its sexy?
  16. Just to state it here for those who did not read the events section, this is a free entry on the Sunday. Could those interested please PM me their car details as per the note in events, thanks.
  17. If you are interested in attending please post here. Last year went without problems. Please no debates on the safety of the cars, they are parked in the middle of a field well away from the burnouts etc.

  19. Very interested, mine aren't too bad but having new looking ones is worth it IMO. I'll have a play at taking the lights out in January and sending them off. You don't have a link to a pictorial for taking the lights out do you?
  20. Old news, the point the lawyer was trying to make is quite true. The petty patent were all just accepted without being checked. The patent is useless really.
  21. I tend to agree Jayce When speed vans were first introduced, I and others in the MRA meeting were told signage had to appear between 0 and 50 meters before the camera. Now it is a very small sign if at all on the van. It certainly was not to be used on hills in any manner or within 100m of a change in the speend limit. Both are currently being broken. Baiting can be argued (as can anything in law). I've been unsucessful in seeing/filming encouragement of street offences by officers in uniform occuring. If I do, someone will lose their job and it won't happen again. In saying that, ACT cops are generally more mature then NSW/VIC ones and are less likely to try that crap. There's so many opportunites to bust someone, there's no need to prompt people to do it. It would be nice to see some law laid out.
  22. As people have said, if this was the type of add on TV for safer driving it might have more impact, particularly with such a backing track. Much better then a grainy beer add trying to limit drinking. A couple of those circumstances were interesting, the swerve to avoid the dog that ended un the lover squashie embrace is a common occurance, it is or was against the law. You are/were not allowed to deviate from your course to avoid a domestic animal, just for the reason as demonstrated. Having a skyline that handeled or braked instead of a shit box would not have resulted in the same situation. The other situation was where the fellow was going around the corner to find a broken down car in the lane. Even doing the speedlimit would have resulted in the same outcome there. Goes to prove drive within sighted braking distance, ignore speed limits. Get better tyres and buy a car that brakes (skyline anyone?)
  23. And a special thanks to Mick for designing the banner and allowing SAU ACT to utilise the banner royalty free.
  24. As most of you know we now have the best banner of any car club. At this stage I must take particular time to thank Tarmac and SiNista32 for their very generous donations, without their support we would not be having a banner. I'd also like to thank Michele for her fund raising efforts and lastly a big thank you to all those who attended and purchased drinks etc at events. We have a bit over $100 left in the kitty and I'm calling for interest in what everyone would like purchased next. I'll start the ball rolling and say a marquee or a pair of marquee (often cheaper and easier to set up two smaller ones then one larger one) We thank Mick for generously allowing us the use of the Federal Tent, however we can't rely on Micks goodwill forever and having shade is so important at events. But thats just my idea, what other suggestions do people have?
