  1. And I hope you never will, touch wood. There's just been so many occurances on track cars of them cracking , and not just people bitching, for me to not warn others. DBA themselves do not recomend them to be used for track cars.
  2. Well the AMP received the most votes of all "other" parties so that in its self is an achievement. Yes from what little I heard, the AMP needs a lot of polishing and someone experiance to groom the candiates. Even the Greens groom their candidates and through expansion of their policies they have been lucky to earn seats in government.
  3. OK I should read the entry form
  4. I think polling has now closed. That was interesting meeting with some of the candidates for the motorist party. They don't have a clue how politics work, have little evidential information on the issues that matter most to people and they have very little marketing skills. Still their ideas for the motorsport complex has merit and shows vision. And if Pauline Hanson could get in, who knows. If they get in I wouldn't mind giving them a couple of pointers before both sides of politics treat them as social suicide.
  5. Mick can you bring the tent again? Everyone turn up at the Museum at 8.30am Nov 23rd I'll email the organising body to say we will be there with approximatly 10 cars and a NEW BANNER!!! I will bring drinks/ice for the club. Organised.
  6. Skip the DBA 4000 rotors and go the 5000 if you plan on doing any track days. I've heard that even the slotted have cracked.
  7. Remember guys and Gals, come on out and support your fellow skyliners. Free entry, up close to the track, nothing to lose.
  8. OK I'll turn up, somewhere.
  9. Here's another one that you may consider, How much does the person care about the car and does the care factor equal the amount of money they have. Most skylines are underserviced due to a lack of cash. That fully sic fellow may love his car but did he spend the money on the maintenance. I purchased mine from an older, well actually very old fellow who maintained it without adding a heap of stuff to it. Only things that have gone wrong are items that wear out due to normal use, not bad servicing.
  10. Was this Autosport or Ferrari? I can understand the no open wheeler as under the insurance it can not race with non-open wheelers. Not sure about slick rules though.
  11. Everyone we have a problem, one I alluded to at the start of this process. The image is far for being large enougth. Here's the response from the place I was getting quotes from: price will be $350 + tax this image is not large enough , the max you MIGHT get is 1m long. You have sent a Bitmap file if you know someone with illustrator or COREL tell them to trace it and send as a VECTOR (outline) file. or we can trace it for $165-. If you want the Highlight effect over the speedo this will increase the cost dramatically. we could do something similar in illustrator without any extra cost. The price just keeps going up with every month we wait. If we want them to fix it up it will cost $566.50 in total. We are far from this total with only $370 + some cents. If someone can provide an upscalled image that might help eg 5,000* 2000 minium size. Else we go back to Mick's flag pole and add that nurspec R34 someone said they can get a shot of.
  12. The MazMan is in all the way from Sydney!!!!
  13. Auto sports looks like they run the day very similar to the Ferrari club. Now thats a club the has a lot of expensive machinary. 1.08's if you expect to be up the pointy end. Still considering I know some of them spent more money on their tyres and brakes then I did on the entire car, I wasn't that disappointed with my times.
  14. It's simple really, most car club can only afford to run a track day once a year. Anymore and people lose interest. NSCC only hold one Wakefield day a year to my knowledge. SAU NSW do the same thing. Remember Wakefield have their own licencing system, not CAMS. You can get a licence from them and go to as many days as you like. Yopu also generally get the track with different types of cars and if during the week, few other cars.
  15. Try downloading again, worked for me. Save onto hard drive first if you have a slow connection. Wednesday night is fine to pay by if EFTing it. I think you are correct about payment but please call Rob or someone from SDMA for confirmation.
  16. So we have Reece, Donnon, Michele, Mark, Chris at least, who else? Even if not competing lets get out there and support those that are. Supras look to be bringing Kristel so far confirmed. It would be so funny to see the only person with enougth balls to compete was a woman.
  17. I'll vote for them, more of a protest vote. But who do their preferences go to?
  18. Lets get this done in time for Marques in the Park. Banner 1 Banner 2 Banner 3
