  1. This was your main problem, you admitted something. NEVER admit on the side of the road anything, they have to prove it and if they are not smart enough to find it then they will normally move on to the next motorist. You never be a dick about it, but "Sorry Officer I have no idea what a bov is" is a reasonable answer and in my case somewhat true. Like your insurance company says, never admit to anything. If it is serious and you need to plea bargain later that is some ammo for you. On the other hand if you don't admit most/all modifications to your insurance company you may have no insurance if you need it.
  2. I'm a fairly regular reader of this part of the forum and I think it serves the forum very well. However at times (not holidays like now) the page does not even hold all the posts from that day, with regular bumps from people because they fall off the front page. What I see generally is that almost half the posts are for car audio gear, which force many other entries to the 2nd page (or further). Generally people only read the first page, as per human nature, so the constant need to bump items. I suggest a new forum Classifieds > For Sale > For Sale (Car Audio Items) -- for private sellers only.
  3. I totally agree, the front page is generally uninformative and unappealing, as opposed to the forums which have a good setup. I know it is a lot of work to change a front page but I am sure the webpage loses lots of users for lack of instant grab effect. I’m not one for flashy pictures but a more logical and user friendly front page would go a long way…wait there’s something more to this webpage then the forums… I never knew.
  4. The TV's are good, I'd hate to think of the shipping costs to Sydney or further. Maybe you should do a non-fuzzy pic of the TV turned on so we can see the quality of the unit. Cheers
  5. Yes 10 is fine, any time from 9.30 really. Yes the National Museum car park near the entrance/exit.
  6. Sounds a bit like what we tried to do with NSW SAU and ACT, to no avail as of yet.
  7. As you are talking about a warning light on the dash, I would say there is an issue with the 4wd system. As for more technical reasons I'm sure other know a lot more than I.
  8. Nice to know of another source of skyline owners. But the design doesn't do much for me. Then again this sites front pages doesn't either.
  9. There was a couple of people who had a clip board and were taking notes on some cars, but certainly no official show and shine for our cars. Then again we could always hold our own show and shine, it would encourage people like me to give their cars a proper wash.
  10. How could I forget the classic R30. It would be great to have the R35 that's been driving around Canberra attend.. but I don't think they would even consider it.
  11. A BIG! thanks to Cejay for organising this year, it is all well planned and looks to be a great day, but it will be a HOT day. As Cejay said (and a lot of this is a summary of Cejay’s excellent work), could we please have everyone meet at the museum between 8am and 8:30 to leave as a group to go to the show. It looks great when we all turn up together. If you can't make it at that time turn up to the show when you are able, but no guarantees there will be space. It would be good if we can leave the museum and park in the R31-32-33-34-35? order. (or vice versa) If you need to leave early, that is fine, but please try and park so you have an easy way out. Park in two rows, with the rear of the cars facing each other. Please leave some room for the tent, it is big. If you are able to, bring your own seats to sit under the tent. I have the banner from Shell (who I have under good authority will be making a guest appearance). I also have lots of soft drinks and ice, but please bring your own water. Remember to bring a camera, a hat and sunscreen. I look forward to seeing everyone there.
  12. Confirming I have purchased the soft drinks for the event and will be bringing an esky & ice. Price $1.50 each, officially for "club" members and friends only (but we are very friendly, aren't we?) Can we confirm the tent will be there???? and at what time. Does someone need assistance setting it up or marking our area?
  13. Yes probably back in Sydney currently. Shell..... I know it's a bit late to ask but....
  14. Looks like I'm out, but I will be there on Sunday.
  15. Agreed I have $190 in the kitty...so bring on the banner quotes. Wow so many cars with big power figures.. I'd only come 4th this time (from the photo of the white board)
  16. Well we found the last R31 stolen, so a good chance this one will be found ( probably minus the nice looking wheels)
  17. Wow considering most people in this thread are from Australia and extremely hot summers are low to mid 40's Celsius external temp is probably not a major consideration.
  18. Well that puts her well and truly out of my price range
  19. What... that was the whole point of going to Wakefield. Nothing dangerous ever happened to my knowledge.
  20. No reply from Donnon so I guess we can't get the excellent location again. I'd offer my driveway but it has no cover.
  21. I found no difference in normal driving using this but I think it's only 100 octane. According to the Shell website "New Shell V-Power Racing is Australia’s only specially formulated 100 octane fuel with 5% ethanol available at the pump." Source http://www.shell.com/home/Framework?siteId...troduction.html and http://www.shell.com/home/Framework?siteId...rt_ga_1602.html
  22. Great to know Line.
  23. Just confirming I won't be there (still not allowed to drive) I may have to get someone to drive my car to wheels the way things are going.
