  1. Ross recons he's spent 40-50K on his beast at 430kw, but it does look nice inside as well as out (as long as you like the colour). Suspension is the next on his list last time we talked.
  2. Just letting everyone know this has not been forgotten about and I will be looking at the possibility of organising this, probably on a Friday looking at the votes and costs. Probably early next year but dependant on insurance. I would be looking at some volunteers for the day, particularly anyone with good mechanical experience for scrutineering or experience flagging.
  3. Online stores saying they have it in stock and DON'T. Then charging the credit card for something they can't supply.
  4. ADD (as in the old ADHD)
  5. Interesting as EBC Australia recomends against the yellows unless it is track only use. Maybe that was the old formula or maybe they are being more realistic than the main office in America. I might also get a set from QFM, I'll see which one arrives first.

    W.t.f?

Well the GTR does everything else for you with active stability etc, guess the japs thought lets let the car change it's own gears, next it will be driving its self. If there's no clutch I'm not buying one...nuff said.
  7. EBC says: Ultra high friction pads for race use but perfectly safe for street use (Formula 1846). Although a full race material and capable of high temperature use with very good wear life, this new formulation sets a new trend in race type brake pad compounds that can be used on the highway. The “bite” from cold is superb which is uncommon with race materials (normally requiring warm-up) and makes this a pad which can be safely used on both street and track. This new formulation has been used by numerous championship race and rally drivers and is truly a milestone in brake pad material development. Nominal friction coefficient 0.5 with zero rotor damage and similar dust to original pads. http://www.ebcbrakes.com/yellowstuffinfo.html
  8. I'm now considering EBC yellows, better in all ways to the reds except for dust. Not so sure on the quietness though, they don't advertise that. Considering I can land a full set (F+R) for the GTR for $330, that is a huge saving.
  9. Received, thanks. Very prompt
  10. NO I just work close by.
  11. umm... no I won't incriminate myself..control...
  12. Yes it is lots of fun, the more the better.
  13. Great idea except even using Wakefield insurance it still leaves the organiser open to be sued as well. I'm tossing up the ideas, possibly doing it under the ACT supra club banner and splitting the "profits" with the club. Or possibly doing it under the SAU NSW club banner. Since we are trying to make it more of an ACT organised type event (with NSW invited) I'd lean toward doing it jointly with the ACT Supra club. Just remember there is the possibility of making a loss even if we get 30 cars. I'd impose a limit of 60 cars, but the closer to 60 the better. My session with the Ferrari club and 30 cars left me with so much track time, I kept having to find more fuel. There are small but active clubs in the ACT for WRX's and EVO's that would contribute probably 5 each to the day. ACT Skylines 5 ACT Supra 5 ACT WRX 5 ACT EVO 5 Leaves us well short. Double it if we invite NSW clubs and we are getting into safer territory.
  14. Blue moon type of thing. I've seen them do it, even placed a nice letter on my windscreen for having a good car. If they only knew how bad the commo was.
  15. Sounds like mine. OK scratch that great idea. Who's got a portable BBQ???
  16. Yep put a pair of 2560R-5's in, good for 700hp. Fuel system needs a major upgrade though.
  17. Can we update the thread info so people know batch 21 is starting. Still deciding on the pads.
  18. And Ladybytes to bring the BBQ, great idea. Donation for the food.
