  1. Yep the site is very slow for me as well, but every other site runs fine. pings can time out.
  2. I hope to be completed by 2pm, come as soon as you can.
  3. I recently purchased one and the inability to change between maps has me annoyed.
  4. Preliminary run list. If anyone has a problem, well I'll try and sort it out on the day. 1 Leech Forester XTL 2 Baconer R33 GTS-T 3 Frink R33 GTS-T 4 Towlie R33 GTS-T 5 sl33py (if coming) R33 GTS-T 6 Jeremy K R33 GTS4 with RB26 7 A20089 R33 GTR 8 Jester R31 9 Leigh S JAZ70 Supra 10 Raymond J Liberty 11 Nic W Mazda 323 Turbo 12 Superfly skyline XR6-T 13 Stewart G EF XR8 14 Towlie/mateo/Julian C VR SS
  5. Hi Stevie, 1. No probs 2. We can fit you in before 3pm, no probs, what car are you bringing? 3. I have cheapie feds, go for a splurt before getting on the dyno.
  6. Well it seems like we have a set number of people with no one pulling out and maybe a couple of extra on the day for $60 each. If you come on the day to pay, come see me and I'll organise to put you in (after everyone else) so rocking up at 12noon is probably OK. This is a great effort. I will be in Sydney working for the next few days so won't be able to answer questions on the forum, but I'll be back late Friday. Cheers,
  7. Forget it, get one already here. I take a guess and say the warranty is somewhat useless as it only pays for part of the repairs EG $500 per turbo where they cost $1400 + fitting. You are not getting a new car warranty. Lots of issues with importing. You can get a local one from $25K
  8. Yes we will allow entries on the day, however since everyone else has put their money up front to help the day go ahead... How does everyone feel about an additional $5 donation for those that only turn up and pay on the day?
  9. Who you asking? I'm after a full time permenant person.
  10. I know how hard finding staff is. I'm currently looking for those with accounting/travel/assets type experiance about $50-60K PA CIT or Uni experiance highly desirable else real experiance. PM me if you have interest.
  11. GTR is a great car and already comes with a FMIC stock. The GTR is prone to breakdowns when pushed hard. If you find a model with replaced turbo's it would probably save you the expence of doing it youself. I've used mine as a daily driver, but now only 2 to 3 times a week. No probs except for fuel usage. If you have a dream any other car would never come up to expectations. Get the GTR.
  12. Why does every Friday the weather turns terrible.
  13. Your mate is partially correct in places of limited traction like wet roads where a skinnier tyre will "cut" through the water to gain traction. A wider tyre will tend to sit on the water. This is similar concept to when (in a wheels article) heavier cars out braked lighter cars in the wet. The greater weight on a smaller surface area assisted in traction. On the whole he is wrong and the "stickyness" of the tyre has a lot more to do with it.
  14. Hitting 100% around 6500 at 18 PSI, but the engine revs to 8000. Hard to tell while driving. Problem is driving to Sydney cleans up the shit coming out the back. Sales rep keeps coming up with the same line, "well GTR's are dirty motors, they have to run rich". Or "you will being getting worse fuel economy when you drive it harder". Doh.. How do I "check 02 feedback is on and you have working 02 sensors"?
  15. After paying $9K for the parts and tune, I'll be going back as many times as it takes them to fix it. I'm not impressed with their attitude and service at all.
  16. HeY Jayce, Will wonders ever cease, I was waiting for ever for them to get it installed. Shame it's too late for the Sykilne dyno day on the 22nd Sep.
  17. So I had an upgrade done with new turbo's etc by a Sydney builder/tuner. I'm running into several problems running around Canberra. 1. The car runs rich, so much that it spits out carbon deposits and lots of them. 2. The power FC says it uses up to 100% injector, the sales rep at the tuning place recently told me not to worry about the figures they were not to be trusted (this from the same sales rep that told me that more PSI doesn't kill engines). 3. The car will occasionally and only under light throttle, give a kick like the fuel has been suddenly cut off then reapplied. 4. The fuel usage is very high, 300-330km per 50litres no matter what level of boost I have (11-18 PSI), before the upgrade I was getting 400+km on 15psi. R33GTR 265kw at 18psi 2860-5 turbo's Power FC Boost controller Cam Gears Panel filter Spitfire coils Still running the same AFM, injectors, fuel pump I realise that there are differences in climate from Canberra to Sydney, but the tuners claim to be world class. I feel I've been fobbed off by the sales rep many times and I'd like some ideas to ask the tuner etc when I next go down to Sydney. Why the hell should the computer running my car not know the correct injector utilisation. Opinions and ideas please.
  18. Yes welcome, Please feel free to drop in to the Dyno day or other events happening etc. Friday nights at the Museum can be good dependant on the night. See you around.
  19. Frink you are a legend. If everyone brought a friend we would be overflowing with participants. Say where are these GTR owners in Canberra!!
  20. Spotted, well fell over a nice black GTR in Woden a few days ago NIS-67R. Seem to remember that rego for some reason.
  21. Not sure there's a great demand for the BBQ, maybe save it for a cruise to a picnic spot? Saying that if most people coming would like to have a BBQ, I'll try and find someone to run it.
  22. I have an ashtray I've taken out of mine to fit the upcoming traction control computer. If you want it make an offer. I'll be at the museum tonight if you want it.
  23. I'm going to be out tonight. Hey I have Federals on my GTR!!
  24. I'll try my best to free up the day and lend a hand.
