    Thanks Mag86

Hey MAG86, when asking for assistance from another part of Australia, and then another member goes out of their way to get you the information you requested, particularly when you gave the incorrect contact numbers in the first place!! It's generally considered polite to thank them, not ignore them!! Y Generation, Y bother helping them... they won't care. Re: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=151211
  2. Interesting thread but... it's kinda hard to imagine the exact car you "spotted" when you just say white R33 on so and so road. Here's a couple of photo's I came up with for the Southside when I had some time to kill. I saw a couple of other cars driving but didn't manage to get a decent photo. As you can see R33's are harder to find and R34's near impossible. At least one member should recognise their car. [attachmen =79522:attachment] So lets see if anyone can top this collection. All from this afternoon.
  3. You must have been late, we all headed off about 10.40pm
  4. Anyone heading out this long weekend? Got a new potential member coming if people are turning up.
  5. Here's the car. Images posted to Mag86. Car doesn't even turn over currently (likely flat battery). On another matter, I'd not be sure about sending my car to the local service centre. The kids working there are not even old enought to have a drivers licence! Nice kids.. just no experiance. MAG86 has dyslexia.
  6. Well I was a bit worried trying to pop out a couple of small dents in my new beast's bonnet. Being an aluminium bonnet caused extra troubles but I'm glad to say the work was done well and he appreciates cash. He even come's to you but I went to him due to his proximity to my work in Woden. Cost under $150 and now looks new again.
  7. Well I said I could go out there and take photo's and recordings etc. But Mag86 PM'd saying could not get my phone number working (wish rest of my clients had troubles), MAG86 didn't answer the number he gave me for himself (no answering system either) and the number for the guy selling seems incorrect as it answers for Dave. Left message on "daves" phone, PM'd MAG86. But no reply's since late Friday. I have answering machines at work and home. Either MAG86 has dyslexia or I've been given the run around.
  8. Another daily driver here, R33 GTR. Fuel useage is about 12l/100km if driven lightly around town. Dudes call out from their cars, saying how cool the car is. Those wishing thay could have a cool car hate you fords/commo's hate you and won't race around corners. Normally the commo's want to race you in a stright line. (laugh as the $100K commo tries to round a corner to catch up to you) Tyres aren't as bad as I expected $200 per corner for the cheaper variety Taking kids in the back is a pain, but possible Driving kids to school etc they love Wife hates the small boot space Oldies hate being througn around, taking a corner slowly. Been pulled over by cops 4 times in 10 years, twice in the first week of owning the car. (RBT christmass) Oil filter is a real pain to replace, without dropping oil everywhere. Oil is real expensive and needs changing near every 2-3 months (5000km) only uses 98 octain fuel Parts are a pain, but probably better than any other grey imported car Your just want the motor to do more, $$$$$ You just have to customise it. I never felt the need with the commo. Budget for a new clutch, whats the good of a awd if you never use it for power takes offs.
  9. Simple, every car can be sold after every race in a lottery of people who want the car for the RRP.
  10. NO Ideas if I'm goof that far ahead, but it should be good.
  11. Since your in the ACT forum.. maybe the ACT??? you know that place that QLD schools don't teach you about. (personal experiance speaking there). I'm in Kambah and have secure garage space for at least one other car, maybe two if we squeeze in. Room for two in the car port, room for 5 in the inner driveway and probably room for 3 or 4 on the outer drive way. All except the outer driveway is enclosed and partrolled by guard dog. Aren't I nice to you guys :-) If we need people urgently and it looks like we will. I'll put the word out and see who bites
  12. It's a bit far in the future but I should be able to make it.
  13. Me to. Now if only they give it AWD, 2 rear seats (of any size) and keep the looks and weight.
  14. Money paid directly at branch ref: 20089
  15. Post a pick and I'll compare it to my R33 V-spec As for the sticker idea... well lets just buy a GTS and put a GTR sticker on it.
  16. Another older link with the same info as motor/wheels http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpr...nissan_gtr.html I'll stick with my 33 if it doesn't come out in Manual.
  17. Makea sense but... since both are on the same day!!! doesn't that make it 80 cars on the track?????
  18. SAU seems to be getting ripped with this deal. See http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=79680 Fords are getting it for $100 + Licence + Helmet There will be 50 cars so I'd assume limited time on track.
  19. Well I've got spitfires and just recently my car's been displaying these symptions. (Parts unknown age but certainly less than 4 years old) Na, was just shitty wollies 95oct fuel that took ages to filter through. Back to the good stuff.
  20. Hey SL33KY, you going to be at the museam friday night? What time if so?
  21. Well top cat have fitted two of these leatherette covers and won't touch them again. Too much trouble installing them. Tried to get me to purchase a $3300 leather set....let me think...no. Does anyone have these covers and are willing to show them. GTR in particular but just seeing the general quality on any car would be good. Dark gray/blue seems to be a likely option.
  22. HI all, I'm looking at the seat covers (full package) being offered in http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=140189 but I don't have the time or patience to install them myself. Are there any recomendations for someone to do it who won't wreck the car? As a side note any colour combinations you would recomend for a silver GTR (red/black too striking and plain black looks a bit average)
  23. Street work only, yet to try the track. The last set of tyres I had on feed more information back to me and seemed to grip slightly better though they were well worn. Will agree that a warm up helps them with grip but still limited feeling for me. I'm keen to try another brand when the time comes. Will the other brand be twice as good for twice the money? probably not. For the money they are OK. R33 GTR 255/40/17 on all fours. As for others comparing old worn out tyres to new SS 595's, it's real hard to make an objective comparison given the amount of rubber difference between the old and new tyres. The semi slick 595's (not SS) may be a better performer as well. I just assume that the SS 595's will wear well, as most people have not commented on the no# K's obtained on a set of tyres.
  24. Interesting but the link provides no information about the product?
  25. I used one of the original G-techs and it was OK. It sometimes didn't catch the times in the car but mostly it was OK. With the Bike it never worked, something to do with the front end lifting I thought.
