  1. As they are written I think the rules are good. One thing that is allowed under the rules but based on the first post is trying to be banned, is the correction of factually incorrect information by forum members. Frequently sellers make factually incorrect claims in order to make their items more attractive or just because of lack of knowledge. One of the advantages of a forum such as SAU is that there are a lot of people with good knowledge who can correct said inaccuracies. Occasionally these claims are based on dollar values of items (ie. this costs $10,000 new, buy it at my cheap price) without any basis for the supposed new value and where simple research shows substantial variance between claimed new value and the real new value. In such cases of posted inaccuracies a factual correction (without saying anything about the sale price) should be allowed. Additionally for non-businesses, the posting of at least one picture in my mind should be mandatory. If it is part of a default form there are little issues in enforcing this. I am sure moderators have seen in the past pictures ripped from the net, claiming the items are in their possession. The picture is an essential part of determining the factuality of claims by the seller, not just of possession but all claims. This is a measure of security that SAU should introduce to reduce the scams on the forums. Individuals should not be using the classifieds to make a living out of parts etc., so uploading a photo for every post should not be a major inconvenience and should assist sellers rule 5 post all items in a single thread. Seller rule 7 No external links! The intent of this rule is clearly explained and enforced correctly however the rule itself bans all links which is not the intent. Say I wanted to sell X item with all details, this is the same as seen on justjap.com "link". This explains the item very well. Perhaps "No external links to other for sale sites" or something like that. Suggest new seller rule 10, when an item is sold, post at the end of the thread that the item is sold. Impossible to police, but at least people might attempt if it is part of the rules. Or the auto close idea after a set period of no posts (1 month?) A personal peeve directed at one person but should be considered wider. Moderator behaviour needs to be moderated in some way, a code of conduct? which can be reviewed (and PranK does not count as he's rarely has the time or care) I am still seething with my one and only "warn" in 2010 when I called into question a moderators disgusting treatment of a forum member when they asked a question about a car, that I had the same question about (why respray a new car?). The "moderator" in question appeared to assume knowledge of the history of the car. He then lied in the warn to me, and kept correcting the warn information so it looking like he was enforcing some rule when in effect he was trying to hide his disrespectful and possibly rule breaking behaviour (if the moderators had any rules). The warn is still current and appears to never disappear. Since then I have little respect for the rules when they can be bastardised by such people.
  2. Just for info, the R32 and R33 brembo use the same hole size 12mm, only the R34 uses 14.1mm. Also not sure where you get the Ap7040 kit for $4.5k. Sellers on the forum offer these kits brand new for well under $4k. Maybe you are thinking the CP5555 kit?
  3. Run PS3's on a Falcon and Pilot sport cups on the GTR. I recently changed from the preceda to the PS3's. The PS3's are great for the falcon (slightly undersized 235's as opposed to stock 245's due to the huge price difference). Unless you are really pushing the PS3's or have huge amounts of power they will be fine. the PSC's however I'm far from impressed with they are semi slick on a track car. Would go the federal FZ201 semi slick next time.
  4. I along with most always appreciate some competition in the very limited Canberra market. So I hope you take this as helpful feedback: Your spelling in official communications and your website is bad. I'm not sure it meets the "proffesional" image you want to portray. I know a workshop is about the quality of work they do, but if you can't be bothered running a basic spell check....

So kat is that the TT version of the x5 you have? looks good i'll be there.
  7. Missed that one. Dont get out much currently.
  8. it like a 3 hour trip. If you have been waiting for so long, that's nothing.
  9. If they are not on the forum, then they don't have a passion for the car . Cops informed, if it gets recorded as stolen they might do something about it.
  10. did not look that close
  11. In kambah Contact me for exact location if this is your car. Looks mostly intact.
  12. Pods in NSW need to be boxed, stupid rule with no understanding of the reasons behind why the law was first put in place. ACT as long as they are secured they are ok in ACT, but can still be fined in NSW is my understanding. Coilovers adjustable need to be engineered ACT or NSW and marked or made un ride height adjustable. Considering the GTR comes out with coilovers stock, it is only the adjustability that is an issue. Turbo timer, as the cops said is also my understanding but there may be leeway for it beign tied to the handbrake. Don't race the car then instantly turn the car off and you don't need a timer. The rules defeat the purpose of having a timer. Exhust being too low, could possibly be, have you measured it? Did they? And as Sin said they just want to get stats up, cops are cops. Even with engineers certs they can and do still book people. Advice: 1. Get the pods boxed 2. Get the coilovers engineered ($500 last time I checked) 3. Find the legislation that allows the turbo timer set up you have, keep it in the car. 4. Measure the ride height and get it enginnered with the coilovers. 5. Unless you passed rego at a government run place, it serves no one any good to blame those that passed the car. We might want to use that place later.
  13. I am not claiming you riped the photo's, please read as general comment about sales. Hence the brackets.
  14. This is why I love buying from a car forum. Say something untrue, (or post ripped pics) and you're gonna get caught.
  15. Sure Sure, no one loves the lady with the hips. Best of luck with the big day and the rest of your life. Just remember where the skyline comes in the priorities
  16. Just to be clear, you are not paying for a service, else the owners would have to be registered drivers etc. You may be shouting them a few beers I think part of the problem in getting cars is your first request and the implied performance work you want done, as well as needing cars with very good paint to look the best in photo's. Apart for being too far away and having the wrong model GTR as per your request, I only have "normal" paint, I don't want to be hassled by RTA as a wedding makes you high profile, and I certainly don't want some moron saying light it up dude. I'd say others may have similar issues. If you don't want the cars to do performance work, then ask for 3 clean GTR's regardless of power. PS R33 for the win.
  17. Just looked at the disc, looks great, audio very good. Big thanks.
  18. Keep it with thanks
  19. I'd love a copy. I missed a lot of the discession last one I attended due to having to leave for work the next day, Terry if you can PM me your bank account I'll send some money and an address.
  20. Pics on the thread please. Mock up? So just a normal VL?
  21. If you had more pics, i might offer your starting bid and then ship it back and strip it for parts. Unfortunatly most of the good parts are gone and it is rough.
  22. should do, the r33 and r34 very similar and it works great in mine
  23. Good idea Eiji. Too cold for me tonight though, maybe an indoor area?
  24. So what is the law about open containers of booze?
