on my R32 GTR I run Motul 300V 15W-50 - W/Shop manual sez (oil temp 80deg) 1.5 @ 800, 3 @ 2000,4.6 @ 6000 and thats exactly what mine shows - BTW the nismo oil is the same only twice the price
Look at the base of the globe and all adr compliant globes have a circle with E1 inside - these globes are the best quality - thats not to say the others arent good - they may be too bright (G4's) or multi-coloured - blue coated quartz lenses like narva optiblue and philips bluevision are street legal - the blue coating helps reduce UV transmission to protect polycarb lenses
Even narva at 9.99 should last 2 -3 yrs some globes cant handle the the harsh ride that some imports have and also check your alternator output - if its above 14.4v that will shorten their life
What colour are they after they have blown - is the glass white? if so maybe moisture in the lens is the problem - go see trent at autobarn mile end and show him the globes - philips are a little hexxy but are not affected by moisture as they are Quartz glass

same problem in stock gtr was ign map spikes as sydneykid suggested - solved when new dump pipes fitted and highflow cat installed with new exhaust syst and retuned
cold thick oil at idle = no oil on the cylinders = high wear. start the car - when oil pressure is up drive off limiting rpm to <2.5K until oil is warm - that is oil presure is at normal driving pressure and water is at normal temp - best investment is an oil tempurature gauge
When oil is cold it is thicker there4 higher pressure - the reason it shows 4 at all revs is that the pressure relief valve is operating and preventing the pressure from becoming too high - remember thick cold oil = no lubrication so dont boost until the oil is warm - one reason why the GTR has an oil temp gauge.
i run motul 300v 15w-50 in my r32gtr and we run 6100 10w-40 in our shop 180sx - used to run mobil 1 but found eng oil pressure reduced over time - motul maintains its viscosity longer - importantly change the oil often i do it every 5000k and also change the filter remember oil is the engines life blood
whoops im gong to show my age - but - in th late 60's and early 70's shell garages all had drums of toluene(methyl benzine) so guys like me with their Cooper 'S' could actually get the car to run without pinging or run on - i still buy it from shell depots (still have the 'S'
