Detailing Day Before Wheels/shannons Day?
Donnan replied to Michele's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Sorry everyone i haven't been near the internet for a while. My carpark should still be fine to use, i'll just have to clear it with the boss. I guess with the short notice it will have to be this sunday (9th) or next saturday (15). I don't think that i will be able to make it to the show with my car but i should still be able to have a sticky beak. I will see most of you tomorrow, so we can sort it out then! -
Very, very nice! I have seen the RX-7 around belco a few times but not the GTR. It must be hard to decide which car to drive when you leave the house. Hope to see you out and about, maybe even bring it out on a friday night or to some of our upcoming events?

Getting back on topic (rather than the usual arguing), after my tune it felt like a totally different car. The 260rwkw feels great and i now get 500km from a tank. I do have to go back for a few tweaks which will probably bring the peak power down a bit, but i am more interested in useable power. It will be good to see how the car performs on another dyno just to see if there is any difference. Yes i know the specific power will probably be different, but i am looking at the A:F and power curve.

Update The Mighty Starlet's Fwkw's?
Donnan replied to TURISMO's topic in Australian Capital Territory
i'll take 44; and it'll have to be the averages of all the runs. -
As with the dyno day, i am happy to help any way i can. could we even think about getting the cars in some kind of order this time. i know it will take a good five minutes extra, but i think it would look awesome to see all of our cars lined up according to year and model. I'll probably just watch as well, but i would be happy to help out with what ever needs doing. Maybe 'official' record keeper or something. Anything will do, as long as it makes me feel important.

Well, BOM says that it isn't going to rain, so i'll see you all tonight. probably anytime from 9....

I'm with TiTAN. Go the larger, fancier rims for around town and keep the stockies for track work. That is unless you plan on getting some really monster brakes and will need the larger wheels all the time? If that's the case then you will have no futher need for your stockies and i'll be the first to put my hand up for them...
-
See you there ya square! hahahaha
-
The rain looks to be reasonably light so i'll probably head out anyway. We could even find a covered carpark nearby. Anyone know of one which we don't have to pay or be hassled by security?

Well, monica and i have finally found somewhere to live that we like and can afford. Those 2 things very rarely come together. As a result we need to sell one of our cars so we can go ahead without living on bread and water. Obviously i want the WRX to go so that i get to keep my toy, but if someone makes the right offer on the GTR i won't have much of a choise.. the WRX http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/My...rx-t201998.html the GTR http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R32-Gtr-t201997.html Someone buy the WRX pleeease!

I like the black one of mick's too, but it would be good to see some test prints at about A3 size to get a better idea of how it will really look. A freind of mine is a graphic designer and would be able to give it a tidy up and resize for printing (both the test ones and full size). As with most printing, the more colours used the more expensive it gets; i don't know what prices have been gathered, but the simpler ideas are usually cheaper to produce and often look better. Anyways, the style on mick's banner was what i had in mind when i came up with mine. The major difference is that i am trying to show the evolution of the skyline rather than just the best looking one (as if we don't all want a 34 GTR!) SKYLINESAUSTRALIA OO O_O OO OO oO oO or SKYLINESAUSTRALIA OO O_O OO oO oO I am putting my hand up to help out in any way i can. I would really like to see the banner up at wheels in march (hopefully tied to the federal tent so we are out of the sun again) let's get this ball rolling Donnan

Sounds great! Count me in.

Oi! Lucky you're a girl Shell or i'd give you grief about liking yellow cars. Have to go out for dinner tonight and be social with non-car people. When will people learn that friday nights are my 'church' time; sacred, and not be messed with? If i do get to come out it will be later on.

Well It Finally Happened To Me
Donnan replied to Veilside R33's topic in Australian Capital Territory
That's terrible. There seems to ba a spate of this kind of sh!t at the moment. Our bikes (pushies) got stolen some time on thursday morning from our locked storage cage in our 'secure' carpark. You could imagine my delight to find an empty cage when i was on my way to work, but on the bright side they didn't touch either of our cars (yet). -
I like micks' because my car is right up front. yay! An idea that i have had for my sig could also work for a banner. it would be the outline of skyline tail lights of the different models, maybe a little body to help differenciate between them. it would probably work best with only a couple (maybe only 1) colours on a solid colour background. R31 & R32 drivers side, R33 with the whole rear end (it is the middle and most popular model), followed by the R34 & V35 passenger side. SKYLINESAUSTRALIA OO O_O OO OO oO oO R32 R32 R33 R34 V35 I hope this is understandable. i can knock up a prototype if it would be helpful. Also, a mate of mine is a graphic designer and is happy to help us make the banner as good as it can be. cheers

Nah, i go down further (lady demnan dr) , under the parkway and head back towards belco. I hate people who slow down while looking for somewhere to cut in. I don't know if my way is any quicker, but it keeps me moving and i hate getting stuck in traffic!
